Haha comic timing from Robin Hislop "professional players should be able to catch the ball" just as Denton makes a massive knock on...
Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
We should just give up and fold as a professional rugby club - I'm sick of this!

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
If I had a pound for every time Edinburgh cocked up and knocked on or fell off a tackle I'd hire some decent players...
Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
The Ed team will be glad to head home tonight terrible performance. Fussell screws that one up.

Denton getting that ball shows how lazy he was getting back to not help his team mates

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
Do ospreys have there personal officials? That last try was knocked on! A few not straight line outs in particular the one at the second try, offsides, Edinburgh played very poor and deserve to be beaten buy these decisions should be fair and didn't feel there was consistency tonight

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
What's really mad is with all the stoppages, TMO's etc the game kicked off at half 6 and here we are 2 hours later and it's just finished.
Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
The scrum half kicks far too much for me, against better sides he could cost the team.

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
Quick question to the Scottish fans - I switched it over to BBC Alba to see what it was like. How come they switch between English and Scottish language??? Is it just Scottish for the commentary and then English when talking to the guys in the studio? Thought I was going mad for a bit 'cause I could have sworn I understood everything they said, and then I couldn't understand anything!

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
I watch Alba because there is more English that Scottish. The S4C pundits all said Ed were terrible tonight and seem to be caught between playing the open game of last year and this year's forward game. I thought that was a good observation.

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
BBC Alba commentate in Gaelic, however they usually have a Scottish rugby player as a guest. So they speak in Gaelic unless talking to the guest player, in which case they switch to talking in English, before switching back again.

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
I think a few of the French, English and Irish teams would have put 60 points on an Edinburgh team playing like that. Ospreys need to continue to improve. Nice to see the leading players were hungry, it's inspirational to the other players around them.Cari wrote:FT 44-10 Well done boys.

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
It did not help having a scrum half hoofing the ball away also the Ospreys had 4 Lions out of 5 in the front and second row and another came into the back row, I can't think of to many teams that have a pack that came match the Ospreys and Bearman and R Jones did not play. The Saint wrote:I think a few of the French, English and Irish teams would have put 60 points on an Edinburgh team playing like that. What was worrying for the Ospreys was the number of penalties and free kicks conceded at the scrum. For a team with so many Lions in the pack I would have expected them to dominate the scrum, but maybe the new laws do not favour strong scrummaging teams???

Griff:
It does look like the team putting the ball in is under pressure as the hooker now has to hook and not push so the scrum gets disrupted resulting in a mess as we saw tonight.

Re: Ospreys v Edinburgh, 21 September
Edinburgh got more than they deserved from that match.Used to them being poor but they have added a nasty edge which makes them even more unpleasing to the eye. They have gone for big lumps but have not one Rugby player in their side.
I hope they get all that they deserve this season.
