Guys, just leave him to it. You're dealing with a grade A numpty. He's an internet troll, nothing more. All he does is sit on here and various other sites and bait people. He talks gibberish. Leave him to it.

Marquez signs the contract.
It is definitely on now.
http://www.boxingscene.com/photo-juan-manuel-marquez-signs-pacquiao-trilogy--39310
It at catchweight of 144lbs.
http://www.boxingscene.com/marquez-i-beat-pacquiao-twice-ill-it-again-mexico--39312
Marquez is thrilled by it as he has wanted this fight for a while
November 12th is the date, but Marquez still has the Diaz fight to get through as well.
And if Marquez wins he will be guaranteed $10m in the rematch.
If the third fight is half as good as the first two we are in for a real treat.

Good to see this fight happening. Not keen on the 147lbs title being on the line because it's a catchweight but good news none the less.

Take a second and read the comments below the 1st link from boxingscene.
Anyway, interestingly it says on there that manny still hasn't signed.
What's holding you back manny? Sign the contract and stop ducking.
Marquez has already signed, why not sign the contract right away manny?

Nice going Marquez, you're gonna be 38 soon and haven't got much left. Nice $5m payday buddy, well done just try not to get hurt against a guy who's naturally been banging around 2 divisions higher than yourself.

Marquez is old school he has a Nokia with proper buttons and no camera, mp3 internet or anything fancy like that. He even carries it in one of those leatherette wallets with the perspex screen.

Don't mention the world wide web to him, he might think the world's been taken over by giant spiders... at his age you dont' want to panic the old chap and give him a heart attack

In the light of this news I have now merged Mickey's ' JMM v Manny at 144lb. ' thread with the pre existing ' catchweight ' thread.

Must be a fair few times now buddy. How many times has Floyd been down?Lumbering_Jack wrote:Peacehavenboy wrote:Mayweather landed 44% of total punches thrown vs Mosley.

I wonder who is the more acurate puncher.... also Mayweather didn't get rolled like a drunk vs
Mosley unlike Manny.
At least Floyd has the ability to hold on when hurt. Manny just crumbled. Manny hasn't got the boxing brain of Floyd that's why he went down like a sack of dung when Mosley connected that huge punch in the 10th.
How many times has Manny been down in his career.

Re: Manny news
Officially Mayweather has only been down once against Hernandez but even then it wasn't a knock down but rather touching the floor in pain following breaking his hand but on the flip side should have been adjudged to have been down against Judah from memory.

Very true....I think they still count though.
I can't belive how many times he has been rolled like a drunk. I guess it's a very dangerous sport though. Lets just be thankful that Manny is likely to be in with JMM next and he is not a big puncher, I'd hate to see Manny decked again like Shane did to him.

Catchweight of 144... Like Marquez could come in heavier than that anyway, pointless.

What's with all these catchweight fights?
If JMM is 'the same size as Manny' why hasn't he been fighting at WW?

Manny's career is resembling the Leonard comeback tour...where he fights the Duran and Hearns faded shells.....
Much rather see him take on Martinez at 154 and no less..........

It honestly wouldn't shock me if Manny got Martinez to agree to 150 with his MW titles on the line.

If Martinez want it he can have it, Roach offer that deal, but Martinez said no.

And you wonder why? The MW champ coming down to 150 and still having his titles on the line, despite fighting in the weight class below.

So you thik its right for the MW champ to lose 10lbs to fight the WW and former LMW champ at a weight below what the former LMW champ held the title.
This is beyond a joke.
Why not have Ward lose 18lbs and fight Manny at 150 whilst we're at it. Heck, why not Wlad fight at 150 against Manny

Martinez at 150lb would be a joke, quite right that he turned it down. If mannys a welter and Martinez is a middle any fight should be at the middle ground of 154. Manny has already 'won a title there' (pish) so what's the problem?
Martinez would beat manny anyway, I'm totally certain of that. I'd probably back him to beat mayweather as well.

Manny is the former LMW chapm. Being that and as he wants (allegedly) to fight Martinez, it should be at catchweight. IMO the fair weight stip should be 157 (halfway between 154 and 157). Seeing as Manny is the former undefeated LMW champ, he should not have any excuses unless he is scared of Martinez.

But then you hear Roach and Team Vulture say 'Manny is a natural 140 pounder' Then why the hell is Manny vs JMM at 144lbs??? I'll tell you why...to screw the opposition over! I have never known people to move the goalposts as much as Team Vult...errr Team Manny.
Disgrace!
Manny you are the 154lb undefeated champ why not fight Martinez???

Ring article on the matter:
http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/167355-pacquiao-marquez-will-be-a-disaster
Seems to be a recurring theme that Manny gets laughed at and torn to shreds by the media over his choice of opposition.
Marg? Inactive save for one fight
Mosley? Old and was 0-1-1 in his last 2 fights
Marquez? A guy who's a small lightweight who'll be 38
Yeah, way to go team Manny for dragging boxing's name through the mud again. Thankfully there's enough quality fights to keep proper fans happy.

I wouldn't want to see Ortiz vs Pacquiao myself.
I like Ortiz he has a bright future in boxing and a fight with Pacquiao at this time could ruin him.
Marquez is proven class operator and pushed Pacquiao hard in both of their previous fights.
Roach is said to be nervous about this encounter and will need to get his game plan spot on.

He is also the former LMW champ. If he wants to fight the MW champ with stips, those stips should not cripple the MW champ to render him effective. 150 is suicidal for Martinez. Pac should be prepared to juice up (weight training and protein that is) to 157 for the catchweight to me meaningful.
If he can make LWW, why make the JMM fight above that level.
The man is a fraud. A disgrace to the noble art and the sooner he is forced to take RANDOM tests the better for boxing. Even his voice has changed FFS.
