Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
Seems like really great communication with the referee and the teams. Had good dialogue with the hookers at a recent scrum and just recently again with Mueller. I like a referee to stay engaged with the teams. Especially since it appears positive discussing what is allowed and before penalties are issued, not after. Excellent work.

10 all at 31 minutes in.
Penalty by Jackson.
Speed of play is good, enjoyable to watch.

Not necessarily Nathan. Tiggers have been scrapping hard and are not out of this. They have a chance to re-group now and it's going to be a huge first 10 minutes second half.

Am I being paranoid or has Sky got something for the Irish sides

A couple of ropey decisions by the ref such as completely missing Best join the ruck from Tigers side and the high tackle on Goneva but on the whole he is doing well and letting both teams play.

13 all.
52 minutes.
Ulster on a good attack but turn it over.
Ulster would easily have scored more against lesser experienced teams.

How's Marshall going at 12? From what I've seen of him, he's been quite impressive for a young kid. Big Unit. Played really well last week against Ospreys to keep Beck contained.

58 minutes.
Jordan Crane sin binned for not rolling away and interfering at the bottom of a ruck. Rather cynical play. The commentators agreed to the yellow. For me, not 100% sure about the yellow, but certainly a penalty.
Penalty converted
16 Ulster
13 Leicester

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
Yeah, crowd made some noise on that last penalty kick by Flood.
Only on that last kick, I believe. Perfectly quiet on other kicks.
Questionable penalty against Cole in the scrum, Jackson converts the penalty:
19-13 Ulster up.
14 minutes left.

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
True but generally quick ball is provided by forwards - its usually a given that a scrum half is there to get it away quickly once it has been presented.
Basically if Mele has to go digging for the ball its hardly doing him any favours.

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
My goodness. After a great match in the dying minutes aimless and mindless kicking away possession by Leicester. Ulster should say thank you.
One last scrum, seconds left, near mid-field, put in to Leicester.

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
If its finished 22-16 then Leicester will probably be happy to come away with the point in the end. Granted they probably looked to get a win but cant be to unhappy with a bonus point at Ulster.

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
Leicester win a penalty at the scrum, then kick to touch, deliberately to end the match. Leicester secure a LBP, but I am still surprised. With the ball at mid-field, at least make an effort to win on the road. Jeez.

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
Excellent game - really enjoyed it. Ulsters breakdown work was fantastic. Very unlucky not to score more tries. Leicester showed dog and fight right to the end
Poite had a good game to - allowed it to flow and both the breakdown and the scrum be contests

Well done Ulster. Great game.
We actually played better than I expected and royally chuffed with the LBP.
Looking forward to seeing you all at Tigers.

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
Decent result for Leicester o be honest particularly with their injury list. An away bonus point is not to be sniffed at. They have a good chance winning their home fixture against ulster denying them the loosing bonus making it 5-4 to the tigers over the two legs.

Re: Ulster v Leicester team news
I enjoy watching Leicester play. At least they are not Northampton. Takes two sides to make a good game and Leicester played their part. In the end Ulster were too good at the breakdown and two slick in the backs for them. Goneva looks a very tidy player

Boy that was a game.
Missed the end of the first a chunk of the second half doing the mummy taxi. Heart breaking to hear us "score" twice only to realise we hadn't!
Enjoyed the match 2 years ago better!
Probably because I managed to get to that one thanks to Rava!
