Even though the Weege scored minutes after Fusaro was replaced by Holmes. Was Fusaro playing that badly? I think it was a tactical change with Holmes being told to go secure some god damned rucks!

Well something had to go right for Glasgow, they made such hard work of that half. Fitness is going to count in this match, it has been frenetic!

Fusaro really brings jack in my opinion, gets about the park but just doesn't turn over the ball enough. Holmes is more physical.
Patchell is playing well, best way to stop that is to keep the ball or make him kick from his 22.

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 4: Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Blues
Matawalu has to come off. He's a great player but he's been making more poor decisions than majestic ones - it kills any momentum Glasgow build and prevents them from establishing a shape.
Glad to see Holmes on, Fusaro has been anonymous at ruck time.

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 4: Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Blues
We have had no control at the breakdown at all and couldn't have been kinder in repeatedly presenting the ball to Cardiff if we'd sent it with sweeties and a stripper. It was a very pointed substitution and has to point to a justifiable comment about Fozzy.A Simply Mesmeric Try wrote:Even though the Weege scored minutes after Fusaro was replaced by Holmes. You say that but he made the try. He is always likely to score and then we will forget the rest. We can still win this, just need to slow it down a bitmadmaccas wrote:Matawalu has to come off. Harsh decision on that tackle - Weir is only about 5' 9" and it made it look worse than it was. He had his arms out ready to wrap but Weir just bounced off.
Then again, that's the only decision that's gone our way tonight.

Blues defence has been excellent.
They haven't done much, but they haven't had to do much.
Yet another week for Glasgow where the substitutes have looked much better than the starters.

Not even a bonus point!
Glasgow seem to get worse with every week that passes. A lot of these players are drastically underperforming.

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 4: Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Blues
Very poor performance, two mistakes from Weir were costly although apart from that he played quite well, Matawalu seems to go from the sublime to the ridiculous and it seems to depends on the balance of the two options as to whether or not Glasgow win, Nakarawa was very good although his ball carrying technique needs work and I'm not sure if we can afford both of the Fijians on at once, you have to question the decision to let the best outside centre play for the Sevens team instead of in the Heineken cup. Kellock showed again that he's passed it and doesn't seem to do anything effective as he's too slow to make an impact, he's picked simply for his "big voice" and quite frankly if we're picking players for that reason we might as well put Brian Blessed in the second row. Josh Strauss needs to grow his hair back he doesn't have the same pyschological effect otherwise, Harley needs to become a stronger runner and it's on these occasions that the decision to let Barclay go becomes even more questionable.

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 4: Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Blues
The story of Glasgow's season, killed by their own mistakes and turnovers. Well done to Cardiff, they worked really hard in defence and they sure wanted it.
Something is just not working at the moment, maybe it is the expectation that we should win these games, it just seems to be stifling them. They should have been much to strong up front for them but we just did not play to our strengths. Playing on this pitch just seems to have given them a rush of blood to the head.
This needs some digesting!

Would add that tonight was the worst I've ever seen DTH play. Hogg also looked off the pace and struggled to make the right decisions at the right times.
Pretty gutting overall.

Enjoyable game but thought Clancy was poor tonight for both teams.

Re: HC, Pool 2, Round 4: Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Blues
Enjoyable game for the neutral and the Cardiff fans, though a few more of them could have turned up. Cardiff have the making of a decent side there, a lot of good young players who clearly just needed to get some game time.IronMike wrote:Enjoyable game but thought Clancy was poor tonight for both teams.
I have no great complaints about the ref, he actually let it flow pretty well. Glasgow managed to loss the game themselves without any help from Mr Clancy!

I know he's a fans favorite and on his day he's very good, but Matawalu does make some very strange/stupid decisions. He must be a nightmare to play with.
Having him on the wing makes sense as he's still a cracking player, just maybe less so when being asked to make key decisions.
