Tigers v Montpellier
Currently 24 - 3 to the tigers. what a difference it makes when we have a decent centre back.

Whats the story behind Gorgodze's scar on the back of his head?

Re: Tigers v Montpellier
The less said about Montpellier's defense the better. Benjamin's first try was an embarrassment of a defensive effort from Montpellier.

And this is where it goes downhill for us, we're trying to play too much.

Re: Tigers v Montpellier
They haven't been the most difficult tries to score, but I'd forgotten what a prolific finisher Benjamin was. I reckon he'd be well in the England mix if he hadn't picked up such a nasty injury.

I know what you mean cumbrian. But our backs haven't been able to score those types of tries.

Re: Tigers v Montpellier
Our kicking game has gone to pot , was good in the first 20 played in the right areas at the right time but now have overplayed our hand and we are in a game now.

Nice to see us smashing into the Montpellier scrun towards the end of the half, an AP or French ref and we'd have been rewarded for it as well.
Got to be playing a lot more savvy this half and that defensive line must be improved.

Bonus point! This is a good game but I'm tempted to keep an eye on Connacht now that Tigers have pulled away again...

Tigers gifted Montpellier two bonus points so it was nice of the French to give one back.

Re: Tigers v Montpellier
That was a comedy of errors at the end. All Lamb had to do was kick it dead. Instead he wants to play the (headless) hero and take Montpellier on from inside his own 22. Result, 2 bps to Montpellier.
He was lucky that Nagusa dropped an equally bad clanger to allow him partial redemption via the dropped goal.

Re: Tigers v Montpellier
Bloody typical Tigers, can't play for 80 minutes. Goneva was awesome other than that forward pass from what should have been a try. Can't imagine the French clubs won't have noticed that, Castres are already supposed to be sniffing round.
Got to be better in defence next week if we're going to get the away win we need.
Lamb once again shows he's not a top class flyhalf.

even his drop goal was going wide but he got a lucky deflection on a charge down attempt.Hound of Harrow wrote:That was a comedy of errors at the end. All Lamb had to do was kick it dead.
