Gutted Purdy didn't see the final bell, he put in one hell of an effort but it was one way traffic after the fifth round. Bundu against Brook Shields

Hell of an effort from Purdy, he just ran out of gas more than anything.

Bundu was much faster and more skilled. Purdy gave it a great effort though. think he made bundu work a lot harder than he was expecting to. but although it looked close for a while, bundus accuracy paid off later on, as Purdy had shipped a lot of punishment whilst chasing him down all night

Thoroughly enjoyed the beatdown Purdy took from round 9 on. The bloke is a massive prat. How Sky thought he was boxing well when all he was doing was marching forward and taking shots is beyond me. Bundu looked class. Didn't see Purdy 'woooing' or gurning much toward the end.

Never been sure what Matchroom see in him. Anyone know the cards at the time of stoppage?

One card had them level (!)
The other two had it for Bundu by 2 and 3.

Interesting comments last night about bundu never getting a chance at world level. He looked like a good fighter last night. Maybe he was quite happy at euro level or more likely it was boxing politics

Sky's commentary team where claiming Kevin Mitchell would beat Miguel Vazquez or Richar Abril.

What are they drinking?

Mitchell lost to a bum like Burns, Vazquez is many leagues above Mitchell. As is Abril.

Burns is far from a bum Gerry, and I didn't hear the Sky team claim that. I heard them say that he is hoping to fight him which isn't hard to believe.

I've put a brief write up on the journal, let me know what you think. Also what's the thoughts on the slideshow? Was just having a play with some of the features.

Good piece hampo. Who's your bet for Murray's opponent early next year? Hatton certainly suggested it was for a world title. I would be surprised if there has been enough time for negotiations with Sturm so I would guess GGG. I like Murray but he would be a big under dog in that fight.

Gennady Golovkin has been promoted to 'Super' WBA middleweight champion.

So Murray's gonna fight for the vacant, paper, WBA 'regular' middleweight title.

I thought the card was pretty decent.

Shame they didn't televise the Owen-Boylan fight, I'm friends with Boylan's family and was looking forward to that fight.

IMO Ricky Burns is the weakest lightweight champion.

Vazquez is the class of the division. Abril isn't to far behind. Broner is still WBC champion. I don't see Burns or Mitchell beating any of those three.

Tell me about it! It's more than a little difficult to keep up. Id love to see murray as a world champ but it would be yet another farcical way. If he takes it and wins lets hope he doesnt get too much stick as it gives him better leverage to fight other world champions

I think he should just go after Quillin.

Although I like Kid Chocolate, he doesn't seem all that special.

And I think Murray could out work him.

And the WBO title would be worth more than a regular WBA title.

Hatton looked like a sweaty coked up mess at the end of the Murray fight
