I tried to be honest and neutral and I think away games against City and liverpool and chelsea and very recently everton have been horrible, no denying that, however we have had some very good results at home in the league and in the fa cup.
As Socal pointed out a FA cup win and finishing 4th will make all the bad games seem irrelevant especially when we get to celebrate our first trophy since 2005.

I still fancy Arsenal to snatch fourth. Everton are on a ridiculous run but they're bound to hit a brick wall soon.

You were making valid points nothing you were saying is a stretch, we suffered a couple of humiliating defeats this season, Chelsea and Liverpool. Man City 6-3 could have easily been much closer as they had a late penalty given and we had a huge number of chances. We were in the contest to the 80 something minute. I mean I don't want to make it me against the world, it is a simple observation 19 of 20 premier league sides this season would be happy with 4th place and the FA cup. The only one that would be will be the one that wins the title.

Arsenal also have the easier run to the end as we have played every top team this season and have mid and lower ranked sides till the finish.

I dunno Martinez always got his Wigan sides playing there best football at the end of the season, so I wouldn't put it past Everton to keep it up

Re: The FA Cup
I have to say im enjoying reading the hatred of Arsenal on here today.
Yes we played badly and got lucky at penalties. Everyone goes out to crappy sides in the cup once in a while.
As the media keep saying "The good sign of a side is playing badly and still winning"
If anyone thought Wigan were going to come out and play today you need your heads looking at it. The way Arsenal play on a big pitch would be suicidal Rosler had them tactically spot on for 65 mins until Mcmannaman went off he was the out ball for them and without that it wasn't going to end well eventually.

It can apply to any game tbh Freeky. Let's face it you can play badly and still win a semi final it's not exactly bad regardless of opposition. Im sure ud be delighted to be in the final of the FA Cup yet played badly to beat someone to get there.

I don't think Keane was criticising the celebrating in itself (who wouldn't celebrate?), more so the level of it and the way it was done.
Saw a picture today of a few arsenal players taking selfies after the win - really? After beating a championship side on penalties?

Re: The FA Cup
A little harsh criticising Arsenal players for celebrating a penalty win. I've seen Nadal get emotional after beating a guy ranked > 50 having saved match points. Seen the Miami Heat get quite animated having beat a pi55 poor Wizards side. Squeaking past a poor side (defending champs who outclassed Citeh at the Etihad, btw) isn't a sign of a poor team, and celebrating squeaking past them isn't a sign of anything other than relief. These are pro athletes, not accountants

the emotion of winning a tight game there were out of until, the last 10 mins and then add the emotion of a pen win. It probably truly gets to them in a way that certain pessimists cant understand.(not talking about you but certainly Keane)
Keane can be a right Idiot sometimes.
However he has made valid points in the past about his own team in Ireland. And it probally builds from that. Stop celebrating getting beaten every game just because you are on the stage at the euro cup or world cup or whatever- show some fight and try and grind out the results instead.

i only saw from 75 mins and all i can say is that it was wave after wave of play- and ox was exceptional.
If they didn't perform like that before the 75th minute then I can understand criticism.
But as a Palace fan I know if you retain your shape how hard it is for the opposition to take advantage.
What did Ox play like in the rest of the game?

Well shackled.
Wigan lost McManaman to cramp in the 68th minute and he was their out ball. Beat Monreal and Vermalen when 1 on 1 every time and kept Arsenal pushed back.
They prob would have won had he stayed on.

Arsernal need wilshire back- ok you could say that he isnt allways at his best due to injuries etc- however he is the one player that allways gets in the face of the opposition. He is allways so hungry and has drive.
But at the same time when Wilshire is the best player you have at unsettling the opposition you have to seriously look at the other players and selection policy

Yeah think i agree with this. Can't complain one bit about them celebrating, it's a football match after all and a big game.
But the celebrations were well over the top, they just beat a side 5th in the Championship and they generally were celebrating like they just won the Champions League/Premiership.
Those selfies as well, were really not funny, just cringe worthy.

Look you two are available to explain yourself logically. Keane doesn't. He does sometimes just talk nonsense. He doesn't really have a future in any part of football if he keeps this shield around him. He is an idiot.

I didn't hear it. But he is just too blunt sometimes. The point is its all well and good saying what you think. Another when you are normally wrong.
He predicts wrong before almost every game.
He gave man u and Chelsea no chance in there games they came back to win in the CL knock outs.
He has no insight. He just rants

If you are going to hold getting predictions wrong against pundits we won't have many left on screen.
Keane's a bit controversial at times but I quite like him as a pundit, just calls it as he sees it and no messing about.

First of all, I like Keane, I liked him as a player and I like him as a pundit. But no one is right all the time. As I said it doesn't matter who the opposition is. Wigan are the holders, they are the semis of the FA cup, and you just got through penalty kicks to go to the final at wembley. Sorry Roy not everyone has 20 championship medals or whatever like you do, these are young guys a lot of them looking for their first trophy. Sorry if they give a crap about making an FA cup final.

The Fa are a disgrace to the game, not only because they continue to hire idiots to officiate matches, and not for charging 90 quid for a crap England shirt
But 40,000 tickets for media, friends, Prawn Sandwich club etc. Is just a joke. Loyal supporters of both clubs may miss out on a match ticket for there cup final because of the FA. What a joke.
Sort it out FA.

Would love it if Arsenal choke again, just because its an underdog story Hull winning the FA Cup, like last year when Wigan won it, the cheer was heard all around the country when Ben Watson scored!

If that made you lol, i feel sorry for you mate haha. Was funny though.
Anyway onto the game itself.
FA being the biggest wan*ers and not showing much attention as the Bradford Fires to Hillsbrough. Also why have the FA got rid of the match being at 3pm. Stupid kicking of at 5, well if Arsenal score an early goal its game over, so means i can watch the Spanish football.
If Hull win, biggest justice in football.
