You've struggled past a Championship team and rightfully deserve to be criticised, however if you go and win it then fair play to the players. But right now, looking back on that 120 minutes, you played like a distinctly average team.
Yes we struggled, but I think were very unlucky to even be in that shootout. There were a couple of good saves by their keeper, a ball cleared off the line and we hit the woodwork twice. I am not looking past Hull, they have played well enough and have good players to beat us. I am happy the players held their nerve and we are in a cup final. So shoot me for being happy about it. Frankly we haven't looked good in league in recent weeks but that isn't what we are talking about right now.
Thing is mate when we talk about how poorly you played recent form is going to be discussed. You can say you were unlucky, but when we hit the post about 100 times a few seasons ago nobody talked how unlucky we were, just how poorly we played and that we couldn't score.
It wasn't a classic performance by any means, I never said we were brilliant and CS didn't either. Wigan deserves the respect for being champions and for being in the semis of the FA cup, which they aren't getting in my opinion. These teams are not easy to put out of cup competitions. Especially, one who has been unbeaten in their last 12 Fa cup matches coming into this one.

Okay then.
Say whatever you like it doesn't change the fact that we are in the final. In fact, I encourage all the Arsenal critics to be as cynical and nasty as possible till May. If we win it ,then it makes it all the much sweeter.
We're neither cynical or nasty and if you take us as such then you need to stop being such a tart!

Get over yourself Socal. Great, you're in the final. Don't get big headed, defensive, and act like world beaters though. You really aren't.
Big headed, please I am very realistic in my assessment of the team. We have been in poor form in the league but I am happy to be in an FA cup final. World beaters? Who ever made this claim? Enjoy building strawmen it seems.

Social, serious question here.
Do you think Arsenal have had a successful season? I for one as a neutral think they have underachieved again, even more so with the money they spent on Ozil.

I have put my criteria down, if we win the FA cup and finish 4th yes we will have had a successful season. Especially, when I consider the ridiculous number of key and lengthy injuries we have had. I know people don't like it when a fan brings up injuries but to deny that it can or can not impact a teams form is wrong. If we don't do BOTH FA cup and Champion's league qualification then no it won't be successful.

Socal, I am in the "Wenger needs to go" camp because I really do think you need a fresh approach and you're better than your past few years showing.
I'd like to see you back up there mounting serious challenges for league titles because you are Arsenal football club for gods sake and you should demand better than you have been getting.

Roy Keane nail on the head there, what a man.
Arsenal players should not be celebrating like that, they just beat a Wigan side. Even we beat them! That says how ordinary Wigan are!!!

Well Freek, I agree we should be challenging for league and I desperately want Arsenal to win the European Cup you greedy lot got what 5 or 6 I lost count. Either way the Wenger leaving question is more complicated. If we have a top coach lined up who can attract players with his CV and the team fails in the FA cup final and fails to make it to Europe I would agree with you. But it will be very hard for me to support him leaving if he wins the cup and then lets say finishes 5th god forbid. Maybe it would be a fitting way for him to go out. I want to see how we finish and take it from there. But I am generally not in the Wenger out camp. It is all riding on the cup final for me really.

Someone like Martinez would have been a good replacement for Arsenal Socal, plays superb football so that would have carried on and the Arsenal name would attract players. Maybe Klopp from Dortmund could replace him if he'd leave.

Yes I would be happy with either. But like I said I think if Arsenal do finish top four and do win the FA cup, which I think we can on both fronts I would support Wenger if he decided to stay. But I don't want a David Moyes of our own.

What team wouldn't celebrate coming through penalty kicks to go to cup a final at Wembley? I don't care if your opponent is St. Mary's school for girls they managed to be in the semis of the FA cup so they can't be that urine poor. It was a stupid comment, Keane is opinionated sometimes he is right sometimes he is wrong.

Arsenal fans here's the question
4th and no FA Cup or 5th and win the cup?
Which one of those two would you prefer? (I obviously know you'd prefer 4th and the cup)
I think Wenger needs to go at the end of the season, it'd be best for him and Arsenal. They're just stagnating, get someone like Klopp in while you can

Really CS? Cos to me I see Wenger now and this is a shadow of the manager he used to be. I honestly think Arsenal will be better amicably splitting post season (on the back of the cup win, I wanna see arsenal win it so no conspirator here), then getting a new man in to try and establish yourselves as one of the dominant teams not only in England but also Europe

Even as a United fan i'm well and truly in team Liverpool for the rest of the season, lets hope your lot carry on our good work taking the soulless money boys on and beating them. Yes it has been a massive disappiontment but I try to look for the positives and we beat tottenham 3x this season, beat liverpool twice this season and are unbeaten at home against chelsea, man u and man city. Our away form is a worry and it is our away form against the big teams which is why we are 5th.
