Everybody knows that jobbies float?
Ross Ford is so woefully out of form and the management keep throwing him into the deep end time and time again.
His selection this weekend after his shambolic display on sunday is nothing short of baffling.

I actually feel sorry for Ford - he is a professional and keeps getting picked, and I am sure he is not happy with his performance

I agree. He clearly is not in the frame of mind to play. He has all the attibutes. Truth is, he has a confidence problem.
It won't get fixed by throwing him out into argaubly Scotlands biggest fixture in a Stadium of Scottish fans who don't think he should be there.
I'm behind him 100% and I seriously doubt he is making these mistakes on purpose. The coaching staff shouldn't be picking him.

I go back to the 'change of scenery' theory. He needs a new environment, new coaches, new team mates, new club. It can't be doing him any good to be playing badly and still be picked. This has gone on for years now and won't be solved whilst he remains at Edinburgh. A spell in the 'win at all costs, dog eat dog' Aviva Premiership is what he needs. He is not a done player yet and potentially has plenty good years ahead of him. he does however need to make a serious career choice!

I was disgusted with his stamp on Sexton. Fair enough he dramatised it, but there should never have been that intent. Wish he'd been banned - would've done some good

thats a bit harsh. sexton had been indifferent until that point but banning him for woeful acting seems excessive

Imagine if Ford misthrows for the first lineout on Saturday, the crowd will react and his head will drop to the floor.
It's a shocking decision, and I just don't understand the logic of dumping MacArthur for Lawson. If Lawson is adjudged to be the solution in terms of throwing into the lineout (and he's usually pretty reliable in that regard), then why isn't he starting?

Yeah it's bizarre.
If he was being dropped for someone, then surely it should have been Hall. He, at least, knows the props and has played with them before for Glasgow.

Ohhh, dear Farrel must be rubbing his hands with glee, long kicks pin us back and make Ford have to take defensive lineouts until he crumbles
Re: Ross Ford - walking on water
SJ doesn't know what he is doing. Even Andrew Cotter (normally quiet on squad decisions) has tweeted about it.

You just know what Rab C will get an armchair ride at the press conference by the Scottish Rugby press - aka cheerleaders for the SRU esp the woeful Hootsman. Although Reid in The Herald is also very soft on Ford and Hamilton too tbh.
