Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
First topic message reminder :
Not sure what's going to happen in t his game..
More bothered about watching what Ox can do again..
Its not a forgone conclusion for me.
I do think Moyesball is pretty decent against possession teams..

Ashley Young!! I'd prefer Park Ji Sung, at least he'd get a goal against Arsenal.

Arsenal & Man Utd lack pace. I think this is where Arsenal's title challenge begins to fade.
Newcastle lack Cabaye. 0-4 to the Hotspurs.

You kinda expected Arsenal to be cagey after the Liverpool demolition.
Expected a reaction from United though.

Poor David. He's looking mightily peed off that the team are more than happy to play about with the ball than go for a possible winner.

We're on the edge of the area 3 on 3 but pass the ball right back to the centre backs, why?

Tim Sherwood seems to have given Spurs momentum, where AVB seemed to have lost his way.

Rather surprised that Arsenal settled for a point - both teams suffering from an absence of confidence, it would seem.
United far too rigid, Arsenal far too...cowardly.
Dull game; couple of good saves required though.

On a different note, is there an in built mental problem with the Arsenal squad, if they're challenging for the title they start to fall away come February but if they're challenging for 4th they kick into gear.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
Well in away I say it is a good point for both sides. I think Arsenal as the home team needed the three points but with the way they played last week I think a point isn't the worst thing and we are still in striking distance of chelsea. However, I think the squad really misses Aaron who was our best player and the best player in the league the first couple of months of the season. Also Theo and Giroud had a great understanding and Theo would work in and around Giroud and create chances for himself and for Giroud. A dull match although the last 15 minutes the Gunners created some chances. Thank god Scz and the woodwork kept RVP out.

Fulham 2-3 Liverpool - Gerrard Pen 90 mins
Surprisingly not dived for.
Arsenal/United was more a game no one wanted to lose in the end.

Gerrard scores. Liverpool have goals in their team both for and against.
I think Fulham are looking better. Maybe they have a chance to avoid relegation.

What a boring game. One could be forgiven for falling asleep during that game, must say if i opted to stay home instead of going to the pub, i probably would of!
Always when Arsenal play its bluddy boring!!!
Tottenham outstanding win. Tim Sherwood working wonders. Think i speak for everyone when i say its great to see a young English manager do well. Good geezer as well!
Buzzing for MOTD, just so i can see Kolo Toure own goa!!! Bloke is a clown.

Darren Bent. One can see why Paul Lambert didn't play him and then loaned him out to Fulham.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
normally a point at the emirates would be a decent enough result, but given our current plight its poor its a game we had to win. even if it just gave us confidence to push on. that game and the way we played did nothing to give confidence that were finishing any where above 7th

Man Utd out of the Champions League - they are 11 points and 24 goals behind Liverpool. They are also 8 points behind the Hotspurs.

Crazy league this year got to love it. City look invincible then they lose at home to Chelsea and draw to Norwich. Chelsea look invincible but just can't find away to get 3 points in two matchs this year against west brom. Arsenal look good and get demolished 5-1 by liverpool. And liverpool are now with this win in the title hunt as well. Any of the top 4 teams can still win it although to me Chelsea and City are the heavy favorites. Probably Chelsea because they have the easier remaining schedule.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
Think its easy to just point at the sale of Cabaye, however, if your running an EPL club relying on one player, you know you've got problems. This is what this club needed, total squad rebuild, too many times Cabaye papered over the cracks. Throw in Remy, Tiote & Coloccini missing & the recent results were inevitable. We are basically safe because of our pre Xmas form. We`re on 37 points, we will add to but it won't be pretty from now to the season end. Summer can't come soon enough
As for Moyes, top 4 is without doubt gone.
