Opening game of the season
Huge game to open the season and set a benchmark for what lies ahead. As the teams are settling in across the league with a number of signings I've picked a team containing two central midfielders both known for their tackling ability to provide extra resilience through the centre and alleviate the threats to the defence. Going forward the triple threat of Hazard, Klaasen and Piazon can intertwine when needed and provide the support and firepower to cause Miky's team problems
GK Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Distribute short as much as possible to our players rather than kicking the ball upfield. Be on your toes for balls in behind the defence for their striker running onto and sweep them up. Communication is key with the back four, ensure they know their role.
FBs Limit the wingers away from goal on the outside as much as possible, and for them to have to cross from deep. Look to come forward and work the flanks yourselves at times but only one of you to go forward at once, work with our winger to stretch them doubling up and allowing you to hit crosses into the box.
CBs – Communicate with one another, don’t allow to be drawn out of position and expose gaps but keep to your role and be intelligent in when you hold and when you time tackles. When in possession of the ball look to play it out to feet rather than kicks upfield, possession is tantamount to our success.
Central Mids – Both to take dominant roles in the centre of the pitch, dictate the speed of the game, break up their play when they're building up steam, slow it down, regroup and move it around as you plan an offensive back. If the opportunity arises don't be afraid to go forward b2b and part them like the Red Sea.
Wingers –If the fullbacks push forward, look to exploit the space behind which will either give you loads of space, or force them to drop back. You are mainly attack minded, but when under pressure, drop deeper and assist our FBs if needed. Defensively, pressurise the ball high up the pitch as soon as we lose it.
Striker & Attacking Midfielder – Play as a partnership, with both players having a tremendously low centre of gravity they shall look to bamboozle and befuddle the opposition defence with quick interplay and boundless energy. Be constantly on the move, drag your markers dizzy and look for exchanges as you run into the box. When the ball is wide, Klaassen to hang just outside the box for any knock downs or loose balls. If the defence are attempting to rough you up then don't be afraid to make a meal of a rough tackle to get them on a early yellow, they'll be forced then to back off for the match.
Set pieces – Strootman to get into the box for set pieces and use their physical advantage to really put a fox amongst the chickens, Allan and Moisander to remain back whilst they’ve gone up.
If losing at 65m: Fischer, Batshuayi and Maher on for Piazon, Destro & Klaassen. Take similar roles but use the fresh legs to continue the assault
If winning at 70m: Klaassen off, Blind on, go 4-3-2-1 with Blind adding extra protection in front of the defence, if continuing to win at 80m bring on Fischer for Piazon and look for a fast counter.

I want us to look to attack a lot today and get the ball forward whilst always looking out for the counter attack from Ajax Trees Down.
We will be setting up in a 4-2-3-1 formation today with 2 holding midfielders.
--------------Lopes--------------
Anyukov - Luisao - Umtiti - Siquiera
--------Fofana----Gonalons--------
Kelvin--------Grenier--------Lallana
--------------Gomis---------------
Instructions:
Lopes - Be on your toes at all times and look to come and claim crosses and set pieces where possible.
Anyukov and Siquiera - I want you both to look to attack and get into the opponents half because i think that the Ajax Trees Down full backs will want to get forward and cut inside which should allow you to get forward as much as possible and to overload our attacks and overlap in support of Kelvin and Lallana respectively. Look out for the counter attacks from Ajax Trees Down as i imagine that they will counter attack and attack as normal with a lot of pace.
Umtiti and Luisao - Stay alert and be on your toes and look to win every ball in the air. Watch out for the second balls too and stand your ground in the penalty area. Look to jockey the attacking players from Ajax Trees Down away from goal as they have some very good flair players who can get at our defence.
Fofana and Gonalons - I want you both to provide a protective shield for the defensive line today in which we will be keeping 2 lines of 4 and 2 respectively. Stand up and face the counter attacks when they happen and look to win the ball at every opportunity. In attack i want one of you to move forward to provide an extra man to help with the overload in attack, whilst one of you will stay back and provide cover incase of the counter attacks and i have mentioned.
Kelvin and Lallana - Both of you will most likely be doing a lot of running today. In attacks i want it to be to get forward as much as possible and look to cut inside and have a shot or play a pass through to Gomis who will be waiting to get on the end of it. In defensive situations i want you both to again watch for the counter attacks and provide a kind of wing back support to the defensive line which should help to stop the attacks as soon as possible.
Grenier - I want you to play in a free role behind Gomis today and look to create as much as possible. I want you to look to provide the ball into positions where Gomis can get on the end of it and also to create chances for yourself and others by drawing the defence out which should open up space to provide the passes and to take shots at goal.
Gomis - I am playing you up front today on your own. You should have huge attacking support from the majority of the team and i want you to use this to your advantage by getting in and amongst the Ajax Trees Down defence and looking to get on the end of everything. Look to win all types of challenges (Aerial balls, through balls etc).
Subs: Vercoutre, Maxwell, Koné, Gourcuff, Stocker, Lacazette, Finnbogason.
70th Minute: Finnbogason on for Gomis to do the same job but to provide more energy later in the game.
80th Minute: Stocker on for Kelvin.
90th Minute: Koné on for Luisao.

Game week 1 then...This QPR side now looks completely different and has a lot of class in it..
GK: Forster on debut: Command your box and really stand your ground..when you get the ball i want the ball going to the full-backs, as we look to keep it on the floor..
FB'S: Hughes- make-shift RB today as we struggle with early injuries...Coentrao, quality at left-back, get forward and support the forward players, make over-lapping runs and look to cross the ball into the box
CB'S- Mexex- captain: stamp your authority on the game, and on your side. Strong in the air, no-nonsense defending..Ramis- same..pair of you stay strong in defence...
DM: Brown and Birsa: protect the back four, and get the ball to Pirlo as much as possible, to get him into the game.
W: Isla and Bastos, offer the width..Isla to make mazy runs with the ball, and look to take on the full-backs as much as possible, with trickery, skill and pace..Bastos- shoot from distance when given the opportunity, also look to give Pirlo the ball as much as possible
AM: Pirlo, pull the strings in midfield..easily our best pllayer on show today..pull the strings, dominate the ball in midfield, and create as many scoring opportunities as possible...(set-piece taker)
S: Rhodes, lead the line..score the goals, and get in the box, expecting crosses!!

Team Talk: Up against Quite.Poor.Results which can be a good opening match for us. We need to stay organised & focused on the task in hand. We will attack Quite.Poor.Results playing with pace to expliot their lack of speed. Their centre backs arent the quickest at all so we will look to use our attacking midfield trio to exploit this area in particular. Our fullbacks will provide width allowing the trio of Thauvin, Valbuena & Payet to come more narrow. They will look to play off Gignac. The idea is to out number them centrally & break past their slow backline.
Mandanda: Marshall your area. Keep defenders informed. Claim balls in & around your 6 yard box. Stay big for one on ones. Distribute out wide.
Defense:Without the ball keep a structured back line. Sit high up the pitch as we have the pace to get back if needed.
Caceres & N'Koulou: If one striker N'Koulou will man mark. If two each take a man. Get tight to him high up the pitch & try dispossess them of the ball quickly. Deeper in our half stand a few yards off, staying close to block his play. Be physical, challenge for all headers.
Maicon & van Aanholt: First job is to keep the wingers quiet. Get close to them, push them wide & restrict their options. Both have the license to get forward, if one goes touchline one hang around the halfway mark. This will allow you to get back in position & also allow us to switch play. Cross from deep or touchline, when you can get an early ball in for Gignac. Maicon will need to be aware of Coentrao as he like to get forward.
Midfield:
Badu: Sit deeper to protect the defense. Break up play. Get at their players when come inside our last third. When turning over play release the ball quick to our more advanced players.
Matuidi: When we are defending I want you to sit on Pirlo today, dont give him any time or space to have an impant on the match. Be physical with him & close him down quick. When we are attacking I want you making forward runs, get around the box to support, get in the box in scoring position, go wide & assist wingers, just get around that attacking third. Upon losing the ball drop back into midfield & assist, once play settles sit back on Pirlo.
Thauvin, Valbuena & Payet: Defensively drop back if required & help turn over play. Close opponents down qucick. Attacking id like you three to alternate positions. Come narrow & move around the final thrid keeping markers guessing. Shoot from distance. Make runs in behind & off Gignac. When wide aim crosses for Gignac or an on running midfielder. Around the box shoot from range if a chance comes up, in the box shoot on sight. Look to use the space Coentrao leaves when he joins the attack.
Attack - Gignac: Pressure the opponent CB's. Push onto them & try force you marker back to make a big pitch for the trio behind you to work in. Look to hold up the ball & link runners into play. Attack all crosses in & around the 6 yard box. Shoot on sight in the area unless a team mate is wide open. One on ones look to go round the keeper.
Set Pieces:
Corners: Valbuena
Long free kick: Matuidi
Short free kicks: Valbuena or Payet
Pens: Gignac or Di Natale
Subs:
If losing or drawing in the 65th minute take off Badu & bring on Di Natale. Matuidi will drop into the central defensive role. Gignac will drop a little deeper to pick the ball up in the hope it opens space behind him which Di Natale will get into.

Overview
An attack minded 4-2-3-1 with inverted wingers to allow full backs to provide width when attacking. and working in groups of 2 or 3 to get the ball back by stayng on their feet and nick the ball rather than sliding in to launch quick transitions from defence to attack.
Keeper
When distributing the ball, he should look to keep it simple and play the percentage pass. At crosses and set pieces, should look to punch rather than flap at pressurised catches.
Full Backs
Their primary directive will be to push on and make overlapping runs down their respective sides, keeping the pitch as wide as possible to try and stretch the opposition defensive line. Defensively the objective is to push the opposition winger out as wide as possible and hold up play.
Centre Backs
Barzagli will compete with the striker for the aerial balls played up to him, with Kaya looking to win the 2nd ball. When the ball is on the floor, Kaya will be the defender who looks to meet the striker looking to stifle his space and rush his decisions, with Barzagli making the covering run. When on the ball, if the opposition are giving them space to come out with the ball, then they should look to take it forward, if not, keep it simple and play it to a man in space and retain possession.
Centre Mids
De Jong will look to create himself little pockets of space so he can get on the ball and keep the game ticking over, Jorginho will be playing a more all round game looking to put himself about, not afraid to run with the ball and get forward to make late runs and be an extra attacking presence. When defending, Jorginho is the more pressing of the 2, looking to keep a tab on the opposition midfield runners whilst De Jong plays a little deeper just screening the back 4.
Wingers
When they are on the ball, the emphasis for both wingers will be more on cutting inside, and only occasionally putting in crosses, if they do cut inside, the full backs should have moved forward to occupy the touchline and provide the wide option. When our full backs have moved forward, the wingers should look to carry the ball into the box, as defenders will be extra cautious to not give away a penalty. When the opposite winger has the ball, the winger without the ball should look to find space between the CB and full back to add an extra body for any crosses or capitalise on any defensive errors. When defending, they should be involved in the team pressing, particularly on the full backs.
Attacking Midfielder
Wijnaldum should be looking to just put himself about a bit when we have the ball in the middle of the pitch, not afraid to come a bit deeper to get the ball and take on players himself or look to make an attacking pass with particular aim on getting Sturridge behind the defensive line. he should also look to be making late runs around the edge of the box as an attacking option when we have the ball out wide. when defending, he should look to stay tight enough to the opposition defensive pivot he could tell what religion he is.
Striker
Sturridge is an all round striker so will be looking to get involved in play, by coming deeper occasionally to get the ball and run at the defenders looking to use his quick footwork to outsmart them, whilst also hanging around on the shoulder of the last defender looking to use his pace for the looped passes from the attacking 3. When defending, he should look to let the centre backs have the ball as much as they want, working with Wij to block the passing routes to the midfield
Set Pieces
Corners - Cerci takes the corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, the FB's stay back to prevent counters, the CB's, Jorginho and Rossi attack the ball, De Jong looks to annoy the opposition keeper looking to limit his ability to move around the 6 yard box. Son and Konop take positions just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.
Free Kicks - Mertens takes Direct FK's.
For Indirect FK's, follow the same directives for Corners
Penalties - Jorginho is the designated taker.
Subs
If Winning
72 mins - Pasquale for Mertens - The wingers tuck back, but with the knowledge to get out quickly for the front 3 to try and counter if the opposition over-commit for a route back into the game.
85 + 87 Mins - Rodrigo for Sturridge and Ravel for Wijnaldum - Fresh legs with an element of running down the clock
If Losing
78 Mins - Gilk, Immobile + Kurtic for Danilo, Kurzawa + Wijnaldum - go to 3-5-2 and fully attacking

A new don at Parma, exciting times..we throughout the season want to play fast free flowing football, lots of pace in this team with a good mixture of youth and experience, we want to get off to a flyer so here goes
With a young defence we have put Antonio Mirante in the sticks to add some experience to the back line, a good shot stopper who is brave and dominate. Will keep the defence right constantly shouting and watching there players coming through. Will be off his line quickly to shut them down and reduce there shooting angles. Will use his experience to either use the seconds up if we are winning or look to throw/kick out early to the quick wingers. Out for high balls and punch clear what he cant catch.
The back 4, well Cassani has the senior head will look to keep them focussed at all times, wont get on to his fellow defenders, but will encourage them throughout the game even if a mistake is made, he and left back Balanta first and foremost will keep the back 4 as a back 4 and will only attack when the opportunity arises. Keep the strong line in tact making it as difficult as possible for them to break through. When they come forward look to force the wingers out wide and away from the danger area. When they do attack look to get on the outside of Berardi/Insigne, scream for the ball and push the opposing fullback back, wether they get the ball is up to the winger as he will have a bit more space to drive into as he cuts inside. If cassani/Balanta get the ball down the line then look to get a nice cross in for those in the box.
Zouma and Jedvaj will look to stay tight and keep the CF quiet, Zouma has the task of man marking him, big and powerful and wont be messed about, must keep a close eye on the CF at ALL times even when we attack, just in case of a counter attack. be onto him quickly and force him back towards his own half, Jedvaj alongside will sit as the spare man at the back, he at times will take a step back to ensure if Zouma is beaten he is there to clear any danger, both will attack high balls and i dont want any messing about, clear all danger and put it into row Z if need be. Mirante and Cassani will keep the young pairing right..
Carvalho and Toulalan are the wall in front of them, Carvalho has the more powerful/quicker of the two will again be a man marker, he will always stay with the AM, looking to close him down early and stop him dictating play, force him into quick misplaced passes and intercept any foward ball. His job is pretty simple really stop the AM and a lot of there attacks are broken down. new Club Captain Toulalan brings vast experience to the side, he does the simple things right, when defending he will sit in beside Carvalho making life as difficult as possible fot there midfielders as the two look to form a successful partnership this season, communication is key and he will guide his partner through this game. Once the pair have broken the attacks down just nice simple balls to the four in front of them and always make them selves available for a return pass for a quick one two as the wingers drive inside.
The AM trio have a lot in there lockers to really hurt the opposition. Cassano is a free man today, he is pivotal to our attacks. Will always be looking to get on the ball and getting the wingers and Abel in on goal, his legs may have gone a bit but his vision is fantastic. Will look to play quick on twos with Berardi/Insigne as they drive into the box to support Abel, neat triangles to work there way round the defenders. Will support Abel as much as he possibly can and will move up into the box as he looks for lays offs or knock downs from the big striker. Defensivley, he must watch there DM if he tries to come forward or close him down so he doesnt have time on the ball.
Young wingers Berardi and Insigne have lisence to attack today, use there pace and trickery to get them passed there markers and into dangerous positions, quick one twos with cassano as they look to get in the zone for a pop at goal, both have good scoring records so know exactly where the back of the net is. If the fullback is up in support either use them as a decoy so they can cut in or pass down the line and drive into the area awaiting te cross in. As the defenders tire, look more to drive at them and push the ball round them to drive on and take them out of the game. Defense wise, if there fullbacks make there way up then track there run so they cant get too far up and support there wingers.
Abel Hernandez is finding some form now and is a confident lad in front of goal, can score with either foot and good in the air. Will leap early to rise above his marker when the ball comes in and if he cant go for goal look to knock it down for others. Is strong so if he has his back to goal hold off the defender and loo for the three coming in so he can lay it off for them. Always on the last man running the line looking to create gaps for himself and others to drive into.

----Briand--------------Stocker----

Lopes - Look to always be on your toes and come and claim crosses and set pieces etc.
Anyukov and Siquiera - I want you both in attacking situations to move the ball up the field with pace and join in on the attacks. Look to cut inside and overlap on the wings in support of Briand and Siquiera. I want you both to stand your ground in defence and look to make yourselves the extra man as much as possible.
Dede and Kone - Today you two will be playing in Central defence together and i want you both to be on your toes at all times. Shield the ball and jockey the attackers from Parma away as they are capable of getting on the ball and scoring goals. Stand your ground and be firm but fair in the challenges. Move the ball forward with pace as much as possible.
Gonalons and Fofana - I want you both to play in a more attacking way today. As much as i want you to defend when required i also want you to move forward with the play and look to just hang around the edge of the area on the attacks incase anything falls to you both to try and take an opportunity to score. In defense, like i said, i want you both to add yourselves to the defensive line and stand your ground.
Lallana - I am placing you just in front of Gonalons and Fofana today in a free role. I want you to look to stretch their defence out and look to play the final pass. Look to shoot when given the opportunity. I want you to roam around and draw their defence out to provide more space for our attacks.
Stocker and Briand - You are playing as wingers today and i want you both to use your pace to look to run at the defence and make things happen in the attacking situations and to also stretch the defence of Parma. Look to play the passes through to Finnbogason who will be waiting for the passes to come through to him. Look to run at the defence aswell with pace.
Finnbogason - I want you to look to make runs into the box and get on the end of any passes that you can. Be strong and stand your ground and look to win the aerial battles. I want you to play with a lot of movement today to stretch the defence as much as possible.

A composed draw to steady any nerves at the beginning of the season, this week I want a more attacking outset with the pairing of Allan & Strootman who know Pirlo's game from Serie A really applying pressure on him from the off , blocking off his supply and not letting him dictate play. Once we've got possession then look to hit fast and hard from the flanks coming inside and with balls to feet.
FBs Limit the wingers away from goal on the outside as much as possible, and for them to have to cross from deep, block any crosses coming in.
Paletta to pick up the main marking role on their striker, Umtiti to double up when required but also to be aware for marauding AMs or wingers coming inside. When in possession of the ball look to play it out to feet rather than kicks upfield, possession is tantamount to our success.
Central Mids – Allan to take the more defensive role and cut off supply through the centre, stay back and be aware of FBs coming forward to provide protection. Strootman to take a more aggressive b2b role this week. Look to pick up the ball deep and move forward with it before releasing it our forward options.
Set pieces – Strootman & Paletta to get into the box for set pieces and use their physical advantage to really put a fox amongst the chickens, Allan and Umtiti to remain back whilst they’ve gone up.
If losing at 65m: Halilovic, Destro and Maher on for Hazard, Batshuayi & Klaassen. Take similar roles but use the fresh legs to continue the assault
If winning at 70m: Klaassen off, Propper on, go 4-3-2-1 with Propper adding extra protection in front of the defence, if continuing to win at 80m bring on Destro for Hazard, go 4-3-1-2 and look for a fast counter.

Overview
An attack minded 4-2-3-1 with inverted wide attackers to allow full backs to provide more width when attacking. and working in groups of 2 or 3 to get the ball back by stayng on their feet and nick the ball rather than sliding in to launch quick transitions from defence to attack.
Wide Men
When they are on the ball, the emphasis for both wingers will be more on cutting inside, with Mertens looking to put in the odd cross and Rodrigo starting fairly narrowly and looking to play as a 2nd forward from the wing ala the current Liverpool system, when Rod is on the ball and Mertens chooses to cut inside, the full backs should have moved forward to occupy the touchline and provide the wide option. When our full backs have moved forward, the wide men should look to take the ball into the box, as defenders will be extra cautious to not give away a penalty. When the opposite man has the ball, the man without the ball should look to find space between the CB and full back to add an extra body for any crosses or capitalise on any defensive errors.
Set Pieces
Corners - Wijnaldum takes the corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, the FB's stay back to prevent counters, the CB's, Rod and Sturridge attack the ball, De Jong looks to annoy the opposition keeper looking to limit his ability to move around the 6 yard box. Jorginho takes a position just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers and deflections.
Free Kicks - Mertens takes Direct FK's.
For Indirect FK's, follow the same directives for Corners
Penalties - Jorginho is the designated taker.
Subs
If Winning
72 mins - Campbell for Rodrigo - The wingers tuck back, but with the knowledge to use their pace to get out quickly for the front 3 to look to counter if the opposition over-commit looking for a route back into the game.
85 + 87 Mins - Immobile for Sturridge and Ravel for Wijnaldum - Fresh legs with the added element of running down the clock
If Losing
78 Mins - Immobile for Wijnaldum - go to an attacking 4-4-2 with Jorginho pushing further forward and taking up the playmaker role and de Jong staying back as an anchorman

-------Lacazette--Finnbogason---
This week we are up against QPR. I am playing a 4-4-2 formation.
Defensive instructions:
Strikers:
- Finnbogason When we are defending i want you to use your strength and stand your ground by staying on Pirlo and marking him, he will be one of the key players especially when creating chances for his team so look to make it difficult for him to use the ball.
- Lacazette i want you to sit highest up the pitch on the halfway line and look to be the first to get away on counter attacks.
Midfielders:
- I want the midfield to work as a block of 4 to recover the ball in defensive situations a long with the block of 4 in defence. I want us to do this to allow us to stay in an organised set up working up and down the pitch.
- We will have to watch out for Pirlo if he is playing as he is one of the key players for QPR. Look to cut out attacks as soon as you can.
Defenders:
- As i explained to the midfielders, i want you to work as a block of 4 a long as the midfield to recover the ball as fast as possible, therefore staying in the 2 blocks of 4 working up and down the pitch.
- Be strong and stand your ground.
- Anyukov and Siquiera i want you both to look out for the overlapping runs of the QPR full backs and the attacks from out wide as i feel this is where that may attack from.
- Dede i want you to man mark Rhodes and look to stop the ball being fed through to him.
Attacking Instructions:
Defenders:
- I want Siquiera and Anyukov to look to get forward and join Stocker and Kelvin in the wide attacking areas and pile the pressure on the QPR full backs. I want you both to cover on Corners and attacking set pieces when Dede and Luisao go into the QPR box.
- Dede and Luisao will go up for set pieces and look to break free and get a goal from them.
Midfielders:
- Kelvin and Stocker i want you both to look to get down the wings as much as possible by using your pace and attacking the full backs. If he is playing, Coentrao will most likely be attacking to look to get behind in the space that is left. Look to create from out wide and by cutting inside as well.
- Grenier i am playing you in a slightly deeper role than usual as a classic CM. I want you to look to be the key man and get ahead when the opportunity is there and look to create from the centre of midfield.
- Gonalons i want you to look to drop off the attacks slightly to look to cut attacks out quickly and so that you are already in position to drop back into the 2 blocks of 4.
Strikers:
- You both will need to work together and i think that this partnership will work well with Lacazette making runs for Finnbogason to hold up the ball and play it into his path.
- Look to get on the end of the passes that will be coming through, make sure you have plenty of movement inside the box to allow chances to be created.
Subs: Georgelin, Bedimo, Dabo, Ferri, Mvuemba, Gourcuff, Locadia.
70th Minute - Gourcuff to come on and replace Grenier to do the same job.
80th Minute - Locadia to come on for Finnbogason to partner Lacazette up front.
90th Minute - Mvuemba to come on for Gonalons to provide some fresh legs to finish the match off.
Player roles:
Captain = Gonalons
Penalties = Finnbogason
Free Kicks = Grenier
Corners = Stocker

Injuries in defence have forced a change of formation this week, but we have the players to acomdate it...3 at the back with 2 wing backs, Pirlo sitting in front, with isla and Faurlin, the attacking force and two up top..
GK: Cesar, in for the injured Forster. Cement your place, solid in goal, nothing erratic, get the ball out to the wing backs.
DEFENCE; Ramis,Mexex,Coentrao: Flat back 3, acting as sweepers. Ramis and Coentrao, make sure the wingers don't get balls into the box. Mexex the central one of this trio, strong in the air, no-nonsense get the ball away at all costs
wing backs: SWP and Bastos wing backs..a new role for SWP but not for bastos, having played this role at Lyon on many occasions..get on the ball, make runs down the wing and get balls into the box..
Pirlo; Sit in front of the defence and get the passing game going. Play the attacking players in with penetrative passing and unlock the oppo midfield..(set piece taker)....
AM: Isla and Faurlin, will look to torment the oppo defence..with skill ful play on and off the ball..get the ball through to our strikers and create chances..they can also take the ball wide and look to get crosses into the box..
S: Ings and Austin to resume their partnership, and be the main goal-scorers. They should thrive on the chances they will get, and hopefully bang in the goals..good positive movement requred and get in the box to expect crosses

Matia Perin comes in between the sticks, a good shot stopper who is brave and dominate.
The back 4, well Cassani has the senior head will look to keep them focussed at all times, wont get on to his fellow defenders, but will encourage them throughout the game even if a mistake is made, he and left back Alvaro Pereira first and foremost will keep the back 4 as a back 4 and will only attack when the opportunity arises. Keep the strong line in tact making it as difficult as possible for them to break through. When they come forward look to force the wingers out wide and away from the danger area. Pereira will most likely do more attacking as he is quicker and more attack minded. When they do attack look to get on the outside of Berardi/Insigne, scream for the ball and push the opposing fullback back, wether they get the ball is up to the winger as he will have a bit more space to drive into as he cuts inside. If cassani/pereira get the ball down the line then look to get a nice cross in for those in the box.
Zouma and Veltman will look to stay tight and keep the CF quiet, Zouma has the task of man marking him, big and powerful and wont be messed about, must keep a close eye on the CF at ALL times even when we attack, just in case of a counter attack. be onto him quickly and force him back towards his own half, Veltman alongside will sit as the spare man at the back, he at times will take a step back to ensure if Zouma is beaten he is there to clear any danger, both will attack high balls and i dont want any messing about, clear all danger and put it into row Z if need be. Mirante and Cassani will keep the young pairing right..
Carvalho and Toulalan are the wall in front of them, Carvalho is the more powerful/quicker of the two will again be a man marker, he will always stay with the AM, looking to close him down early and stop him dictating play, force him into quick misplaced passes and intercept any foward ball. His job is pretty simple really stop the AM and a lot of there attacks are broken down. Toulalan brings vast experience to the side, he does the simple things right, he is also the leader of the team and will always encourage the younger players, when defending he will sit in beside Carvalho making life as difficult as possible fot there midfielders as the two look to form a successful partnership this season, communication is key and he will guide his partner through this game. Once the pair have broken the attacks down just nice simple balls to the four in front of them and always make them selves available for a return pass for a quick one two as the wingers drive inside.
The AM trio have a lot in there lockers to really hurt the opposition. Riviere is a free man today, dropping back from the CF position he held last week, a position he has played in before, he is pivotal to our attacks. Will always be looking to get on the ball and getting the wingers and Soriano in on goal, he is an intelligent player and will look to link up quickly with Soriano as the two can interchange and he can drive passed the CF. Will look to play quick on twos with Berardi/Insigne as they drive into the box to support Soriano, neat triangles to work there way round the defenders. . Defensivley, he must watch there DM if he tries to come forward or close him down so he doesnt have time on the ball.
Young wingers Berardi and Insigne have lisence to attack today, use there pace and trickery to get them passed there markers and into dangerous positions, quick one twos with Riviere/Soriano as they look to get in the zone for a pop at goal, both have good scoring records so know exactly where the back of the net is.
Soriano is a goal machine very confident lad in front of goal, can score with either foot and good in the air. Will leap early to rise above his marker when the ball comes in and if he cant go for goal look to knock it down for others. Is strong so if he has his back to goal hold off the defender and look for the three coming in so he can lay it off for them. Always on the last man running the line looking to create gaps for himself and others to drive into. Especially Riviere who he will look to form a quick understanding with.
Captain:- Toulalan
Penalties:- Soriano
Free Kicks:- Riviere
Corners:- Wingers
Subs

Great win last week but this week up against Torino and their astute manager Tranqs, gone for our usual 4-2-3-1 and expect Tranqs to do the same, if so and there's not a break through at half time so it looks heading for a stalemate then we have a plan B option of the following:
-------------------Cillessen------------------
Janmaat---De Vrij---Umtiti---Martins Indi
----------------------Allan----------------------
-----------Strootman---Vilhena---------------
--------------------Hazard----------------------
-------------Destro-------Piazon---------------
The diamond formation in the centre of the pitch is used by Italy mainly to combat the teams that use the 4-2-3-1 formation by overwhelming their two double pivot in the centre, the front three would have licence to interchange whilst the width would come from the FBs as Allan would serve as anchor when they came forward.
GK Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Distribute short as much as possible to our players rather than kicking the ball upfield. Strootman to take a more aggressive b2b role this week. Look to pick up the ball deep and move forward with it before releasing it our forward options.

Set pieces – Strootman & De Vrij to get into the box for set pieces and use their physical advantage to really put a fox amongst the chickens, Allan and Umtiti to remain back whilst they’ve gone up.
If a draw or losing at halftime: Vilhena on for Klaassen and see main team talk.
At 70m: Boetius on for Piazon, continue in his role and look to link up with Vilhena's chemistry.
At 80m: Blind on for Destro: Destro to join Allan in front of the defence blocking supply, Boetius and Hazard to hit on counter.

We are playing a 4-3-3 formation today. I want us to play free flowing football and look to create a lot of chances. We are up against a strong AS ZwagAtlético side so i want everyone to be on your toes.
Match Instructions:
Lopes: Stand your ground, come and claim set pieces, look for the quick pass out into our possession.
Defenders instructions:
-I want Maxwell and Anyukov to attack down the wings and overload that area of the pitch. Look to get back and defend and cover for the central defenders on set pieces.
-I want Dede and Kone to stand your ground and be solid in defence. When we are attacking i want you both to stand around the half way line and watch out for the counter attack. Look to win the ball first and clear your lines. I want you both to go up for corners and set pieces and look to get on the end of them.
Midfielders instructions:
-We are playing 3 players in the midfield area today. I have chosen Grenier and Gourcuff to both sit back a little more than Lallana.
- I want Lallana to play in a free role today and roam in behind the 3 players ahead of you. I want you to look to put the ball through the defensive lines for one of the players in front of you to get on the end of it. Use the wide areas to our advantage as well.
- In defensive situations i want Grenier and Gourcuff to sit just in front of the defence and protect them.
Attackers instructions:
-Lacazette and Stocker i want you both to play in a wider area today and allow Finnbogason to roam through the middle. You will have support out wide from the full backs and passes will be played into you from Lallana and others. In defence i want you both to support the full backs and provide 2 extra men behind the ball.
- I want Finnbogason to look to move around a lot in the oppositions half and the box too. Be strong and look to get in and amongst the chances. I want you to look to get on the end of passes from the midfield. Look to hold the ball up which should allow the team to support you in attack.

An attack minded 4-2-3-1 with inverted wide attackers to allow full backs to provide more width when attacking. and working in groups of 2 or 3 to get the ball back by stayng on their feet and nick the ball rather than sliding in to launch quick transitions from defence to attack.
Zaldua is a young guy today but should be full of confidence after breaking into and establishing himself into the Sociedad side for the last 8 games.
Wide Men
When they are on the ball, the emphasis for both wingers will be more on cutting inside, with Mertens looking to put in the odd cross and Rodrigo starting fairly narrowly and looking to play as a 2nd forward from the wing, when Rod is on the ball and Mertens chooses to cut inside, the full backs should have moved forward to occupy the touchline and provide the wide option.
Mertens and Jorginho takes a position just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers and deflections.
Free Kicks - Mertens takes Direct FK's.
For Indirect FK's, follow the same directives for Corners
Penalties - Jorginho is the designated taker.
Subs
If Winning
72 mins - Kurzawa for Rodrigo - Ghoulam LW, Mertens RW, Kurzawa LB. The wingers tuck back, but with the knowledge to use their pace to get out quickly for the front 3 to look to counter if the opposition over-commit looking for a route back into the game.

With an injury to Veltman for Parma this week we especially wish to target his replacement coming in as the understanding with the young Zouma will not be there and mistakes will happen. We're looking at our strikers to pull apart the defence and our central strength to then smash down their doors.

GK - Stand tall, come for crosses that are close to you making them need to aim crosses further out. Distribute short as much as possible to our players rather than kicking the ball upfield. Be on your toes for balls in behind the defence for their striker running onto and sweep them up. Communication is key with the back four, ensure they know their role.
FBs - Limit the wingers away from goal on the outside as much as possible, and for them to have to cross from deep, block any crosses coming in. Look to come forward and work the flanks yourselves at times but only one of you to go forward at once, be the width and link up play with our outside forwards.
CBs – Communicate with one another, don’t allow to be drawn out of position and expose gaps but keep to your role and be intelligent in when you hold and when you time tackles. De Vrij to pick up the main marking role on their striker, Umtiti to double up when required but also to be aware for marauding AMs or wingers coming inside. When in possession of the ball look to play it out to feet rather than kicks upfield, possession is tantamount to our success.
Central Mids – Allan to take the more defensive role and cut off supply through the centre, stay back and be aware of FBs coming forward to provide protection. Strootman and Vilhena to alternate with b2b roles, both strong players on the ball, the size of Strootman combined with the pitbull style of Vilhena should overwhelm them in the centre of the pitch and be a battering ram through the middle.
Attacking Mid- expecting both Toulalan and Carvalho to attempt to limit your play today but your role is to keep them both busy, distract them with your movement and keep them off both Strootman and Vilhena as they then smash past, simple one-twos combinations with them or quick through balls to our striking options whilst you're always on the move being a thorn in their side.
Strikers – Movement is key, with Parma having to play a different centreback then the communication and understanding can be tested so I want to drag them apart and by playing with two upfront it means they're not getting time to pause for breath or double up so we can pick apart their weakness. When the defenders have the ball them be at them, force them to release it early and keep the pressure up.
Set pieces – Strootman & De Vrij to get into the box for set pieces and use their physical advantage to really put a fox amongst the chickens, Allan and Umtiti to remain back whilst they’ve gone up.
At 70m: Boetius on for Piazon, continue in his role and look to link up with Vilhena's chemistry.
At 80m: Hazard and Praet on for Klaassen and Destro. Fresh impetus as their defence tires.

Matia Perin in between the sticks, a good shot stopper who is brave and dominate.
Zouma and Mustafi will look to stay tight and keep the CF quiet, Zouma has the task of man marking him, big and powerful and wont be messed about, must keep a close eye on the CF at ALL times even when we attack, just in case of a counter attack. be onto him quickly and force him back towards his own half, Mustafi alongside will sit as the spare man at the back, he at times will take a step back to ensure if Zouma is beaten he is there to clear any danger, both will attack high balls and i dont want any messing about, clear all danger and put it into row Z if need be. Cassani as the senior defender will keep his young defensive pairing right..
Steven Defour comes in to play as my playmaker just ahead of Carvalho and Toulalan, gives me more experience in the centre of the pitch. Will look to pick up th ball from behind and get us moving forward especially out wide to our wingers, good passer so will to get the front three into dangerous positions with good variety of passing, will make late runs into the box himself and look to support the CF. When they attack he will look to track the DM if thery have to stop him moving forward.
Young wingers Berardi and Insigne have lisence to attack today, use there pace and trickery to get them passed there markers and into dangerous positions, quick one twos with Defour/Soriano as they look to get in the zone for a pop at goal, both have good scoring records so know exactly where the back of the net is.
If he cant go for goal then he will look for those around him coming into support and look to lay it off for them.

We are up against Clint Eastwoods Last Decent Film Role this week. They usually play a 4-2-3-1 system with Sturridge as a lone striker. We are going to use a 4-5-1 formation to look to overpower in the midfield area.

Anyukov - Kouyaté - Luisao - Siquiera
----------Gourcuff - Gonalons--------
Kelvin------------------------Taraabt
----------------Lallana---------------
--------------Finnbogason------------
Goalkeeper tactics:
- Look to move the ball out to our defence as thats where we want to build from.
- Come and claim crosses and set pieces.
- Stand your ground.
Defensive instructions:
- As a team i want us to recover the ball as quickly as possible.
- Anyukov and Siquiera i want you both to cover for central defenders when required.
- Luisao and Kouyaté i want you both to stand your ground and work as a team to filter the passes through to Sturridge.
- Kouyaté i want you to use your pace to stay with Sturridge and i want Luisao to look for the passes into Sturridge and cancel the attacks out at the source.
- I want the midfield players (except Lallana) to work as another defensive line and recover the ball with the defensive line making 2 blocks of 4.
- Lallana and Finnbogason i want you both to be waiting ready quite far up the pitch looking to get on the counter attack straight away.
Attacking instructions:
- I want our central defenders to go up for set pieces and corners with the full backs covering for them.
- Siquiera and Anyukov i want you both to make runs down the wide areas and look to cut inside and attack the box and support Taraabt and Kelvin respectively.
- Gonalons is to stay in a defensive area when we attack just to add a bit of cover for the defence incase of the counter attack. I want the ball to start in the midfield area from Gonalons and for us to work the ball forward.
- Gourcuff is to push forward and support Lallana in the more central areas and provide another attacking midfielder at times.
- Kelvin and Taraabt are to run at the defence and cut inside and look for the shots and passes to open up the opposition.
- Lallana you are playing a free role and as a number 10 today, look to work your magic in and around the box and open up the defence with your passing ability. I want you to always be looking to create and looking for options in the final third.
- Finnbogason you will be up front on your own today. I want you to roam free making yourself available and looking for space which Lallana can work the ball into. Stand your ground and be strong in the air. Hold the ball up when required as you will be receiving plenty of support from the players behind you.
Subs: Gorgelin, Maxwell, Lopes, Fofana, Stocker, Gomis, Briand.
70th Minute: Stocker on for Taraabt to do the same job.
80th Minute: Fofana to come on for Gourcuff to provide some fresh legs later in the game.
90th Minute: Gomis on for Finnbogason to do the same job.
