Toulon v Leinster - HC QF
First topic message reminder :
The winners of the last 3 HC's face off on Sunday in the QF on French soil.
Toulon have a few injuries but have squad jammed with internationals so they won't be weakened much.
Just off the back of a cracking win over Toulouse where little Freddie ran the show scoring a try, 2 conversions and 6 penalties to bag a handsome 27 points.
Leinster's win over Munster was, a more sedate affair, scoring only 1 try, and resting their top carrying threat Cian Healy.
Leinster haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders lately (despite winning their last 10 games in a row) but the Northampton game this year will give them the confidence that they can pull out a result.
Should be a cracker.

If Leinster score next it could be very, very telling. Great defense.

Re: Toulon v Leinster - HC QF
Leinster under MOC rely on playing at a tempo too high for their opponents. When that doesn't happen, they don't have much to give. Looks like that's what's going on here. Looks like Ireland under kidney

We are growing here. They haven't met anyone like us yet and its showing now.
Ja, I know, they are deadly all over the field and could do it in a flash... But.
Believe.

maybe because it was knocked on into him rather than the player ahead deliberately catching it or picking it up

Ah hate to see wilko go off (especially if his kicking leg is not 100%)

Gopperth should be subbed. If he's not dropping it, he's throwing forward

i thought it was the hands of the tackler who was still on the ground. second angle showed it to be as you say.

Re: Toulon v Leinster - HC QF
We have em up front. Unreal, considering. And that will only get worser for them. Wait until ya see our 2nd-string frontrow. We shackled em, told them the Frogs stole their steaks and put oodles of girlie sauce on them. We haven't fed them for weeks. Not best pleased.
Shatteredbriand anyone?

Gone are the days when Irish teams really feared the french scrums. Hopefully for a long long time.
