Munster v Toulouse 1/4 Final HC
First topic message reminder :
So with about an hour to go and no thread, I thought I would make one. Come on Munster
Munster: F Jones; K Earls, C Laulala, J Downey, S Zebo, I Keatley, C Murray, D Kilcoyne, D Varley, BJ Botha, D Foley, P O'Connell, P O'Mahony (capt), T O'Donnell, J Coughlan.
Replacements: D Casey, J Ryan, A Cotter, D O'Callaghan, CJ Stander, D Williams, JJ Hanrahan, G van den Heever.
Toulouse: M Médard; Y Huget, F Fritz, G Fickou, H Gear; L Beauxis, J Vermaak; G Steenkamp, C Tolofua, Y Montes, Y Maestri, P Albacete (c), Y Camara, J Tekori, L Picamoles
Replacements: J Bregvadze, C Baille, S Ferreira, R Millo-Chluski, G Galan, J-M Doussain, L McAlister, Poitrenaud.
Just read from whocares that there have been some last minute changes to the Toulouse line up with McAlister now starting and Nyanga not making the bench...

To put 40 points on against Toulouse is pretty impressive, no matter how bad they played. Great stuff Munster

Toulouse completely embarrassed. Didnt think Munster were really contenders but they definitely are now.

Yeah I agree and as somebody said earlier - looked very much like the Irish maul in the 6Ns.

Congrats Munster, wonder what the odds on POC getting a try would have been?
Re: Munster v Toulouse 1/4 Final HC
Ryan did well when he came on for Kilcoyne. Munster and indeed Ireland have great depth at LH. We have a bit to go at TH but we are getting there.

Ryan is more of a TH isn't he? the one to look out for was ruled out of this, Jerry Cronin.
Don't think i have ever seen a team mauling like that against Toulouse.

When was the last time a player from the Bench got motm?
Stander was impressive indeed, won a few turnovers, held up players and carried like SOB in his best days. Made the most tackles too.

He will get more appearances for Munster next season, I am certain of it. There is going to be a huge battle between Coughlan, O'Mahony, O'Donnell, Stander and Copeland though. Will be great to see.
Plus, he is IQ after next season, I wonder if he will feature for Ireland at all in the future.

Wow forgot Copeland has signed, he and Stander in the same back row would be a tough prospect for anyone. Then you have someone like Paddy Butler who i think is very good, it's quite incredible the depth they have in the back row.

I would have given it to Earls. Munster's best Irish winger ever?

Nah Guns both Zebo and Earls were brilliant... check out how to finish a move by Zebo..I know you don't get to see it much in Leinster.

MOTM for this one had to go to a forward, that's where they build their win.

Didnt see it. Left with 10 mins to go. Zebo had hardly touched the ball up till then.

No he didn't but he and Earls kept the Toulouse wings in their pockets and in the last 10-15 mins was running riot...

Stander came on after 15 min, made the most tackle, carried the most meters and won 3 or 4 turnovers, he was well worth his motm award.

MOTM could have gone to any number of players...for me Murray was outstanding as was James Coughlan (Kept Picamoles quiet). POC was immense as well and both wingers were class.

Agree with that, he seems so confident in games like these. I was impressed with the whole team today, the attitude was great when it looked like Toulouse may get back into the match.

Jaysus, he did that in the first 3 mins and carried on until around the 15th min. He is a hard fecker.
Really bad news for him and for Munster.

A belated well done to Munster on a phenomenal result - now Ulster are out () I can come clean about by cast iron belief that this is Munster's year to lift the trophy....

Hmm...did my first page wish work out perfectly?
Good - So far so good then. Nice to see a few people too coming around to the idea that Munster's tillage farmers could very possibly grab a crown again from the shiny new goldplated super sides.
Munster have the scent of Europe in their nostrils. Everytime the ref begins to count them out, they get back to their feet.
The Classic Heineken Cup Team.

My missus was more than a little surprised when she realised that the reason I was getting so worked up this evening was for the Ulster game....what a great performance...just hard as nails.

Awk DOD you're occasionally a gentleman. But you treat me mean and keep me keen. Thats why i come back for more of your chat.
We have along way to go to get to the level required that Munster and Leinster possess. I hope yous can do it. The French, they don't like it up them. Not one bit.

Today was my granddads 90th birthday so I spent the vast majority of the day celebrating with my family and didn't get to see either of the other games.
So I went to check the score lines... wow! What a tremendous game from Munster
Looking forward to watching the recording.
