McCormack hasn't proved himself against top defenders, of which there are plenty in this league. Harsh but fair criticism IMO.

That's hogswash mate
McCormack is one of the best players outside the PL and has scored 29 goals this year, even if it is an 'inferior' league, mid assume we look at the form of players at the time

I'd wait to see what he can do against the likes of Kompany and Koscielny before crowning him a star after facing Christophe Berra and Lucas Neill...

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
McCormack is hardly going to be rated highly against high quality defenders simple really, plus Ings is better... like a lot better
Re: N.E.D. Social Area
Anyone who rates Ings over McCormack is being foolish
McCormack has partnered Matt Smith and Noël Hunt for most of this season, whereas Ings has had Vokes
It's the sheer fact that McCormack not only scores goals he creates them as well.
The defenders in this league are hardly on the same level as Kompany or Koscielny.
This logic seems to imply Libor Kozak would be a better option simply because he plays in the better league

I wouldn't say there's a significant difference. Ings has had the better service (Leeds were awful vs us and McCormack still couldve had a couple). Ings needs to back up this season really

And that's my point I raised in regards to Jakub Sylvestr or Borja Viguera, both of whom are current top scorers in the Spanish and German second leagues but who gives a rats about either of them.
I've got Batshuayi and Destro as striker options, both whom are miles better than McCormack yet I get feedback that my strikers are weak!

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
Even this week, McCormack was up against Dede and Kouyate. Kouyate at Anderlecht and linked with Arsenal this summer, Dede rumoured to be moving to a major team in Europe after the World Cup. Not top class but better than a lot of the Championship's centre backs.
I can't help but think you're being a biased Leeds fan over this.

For the record I don't rate Ings or Rhodes who are also in this league for the same reasons. I rate them in real life, but I can't vote for them to score goals against a better standard of defenders in this league.

Believe me I criticise McCormack at ER because I know he isn't a perfect player and can frustrate at times, but I do think that you can't deny his goals and he would still do that against the bigger teams

Doesn't really play in his favor though. To make the grade as a lower league striker on these you need to be at least 1 in 2 I think

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
Just checked his record against Premier League teams in the cup (and rememember Premier League clubs often put out weakened sides v lower league opposition in cups)
v Man Utd lost 0-3 was subbed off after 65 mins
v Arsenal lost 0-1 was subbed on after 74 mins
v Chelsea lost 1-5 was subbed on after 72 mins
v Spurs won 2-1 he scored one goal
v Man City lost 0-4 he was subbed off after 45 mins
v Newcastle lost 0-2
So 1 goal in six games v Premier League opposition, bet they're quaking in their boots.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
And you said the season prior he was injured for most of it.
He was out from mid September to mid November.
He played 32 games in the league, scored 5 goals.
The record books also show he only played 1 game on the left wing, every other as a striker.

K so two of those were played as a sub so....
And that doesn't take away from the fact in those games he was playing with Smith/Hunt/Becchio/Paynter, obviously with better team mates he'd play better

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
But you did state he played well against Premier League opposition and there's nothing to show he did.
You also said he was an injured left winger for the season before and he wasn't, he scored 5 goals in 32 games as a striker which is shocking, Torres gets a better return than that.
And any player under the sun plays better if they're surrounded by better players, that's how people improve.

This is true, Leeds do seem to be Norwich's feeder club...
On a separate note, a mate of mine had 1-0 Chelsea (unsure of the odds) and was slating Torres for being useful in front of goal for once

The bitterness of Liverpool fans towards Mourinho is glorious
Choked big time, can't accept they get mugged off by a managerial masterclass.

Spartak 2 - 1 Parma
Feedback:
Both sides going forward look quite tasty, the difference in class between the two forwards edges it though for Spartak. One a CL winning striker with a proven track record at the highest level, the other plays for Leeds.
A good game with both sides playing decent football, but both sides are strong in the middle of the park, cancelling each other out somewhat. Spartak have the better striker, but both strikers have great service and are up against beatable defenders. I think Spartak nick the win in a high scoring game, but Parma have a great base, just need to improve upfront. Based on the discussion the other day, McCormack will probably come good but here and now he needs upgrading.
Spartak Good: Midfield and attack is strong and quick.
Spartak Bad: Weak defensively, needs attention.
Spartak Moscow Feedback: A good line-up but i can't see Spartak scoring today as i see that both teams are evenly matched in all areas of the pitch and the only result i can see is a 0-0 draw.
Parma Feedback: A good line-up but like Spartak i can't see Parma scoring today as i see that both teams are evenly matched in all areas of the pitch and the only result i can see is a 0-0 draw.
Parma Good: Wingers and midfield very good.
Parma Bad: Rami unable to do much against Drogba, worth bearing in mind.
Santos 1 - Lazio 2
Santos 0 - Lazio 2
Santos 1 - Lazio 1
Santos 0 - Lazio 1
Divided by 4 - Santos 0.25 - Lazio 1.5
Santos 0-1 Lazio
Feedback:
Santos's midfield whilst excelling when possession is just too lightweight for me when it comes to regaining possession, whilst Romulo was a decent DM he's been out for 18 months in RL and is being very slowly eased back into the game, he's not played 90 minutes yet since he returned and it's a big task sticking to Cabaye.
Lazios tactics were set up well to deal with the Santos danger areas, I felt the midfield battle was key and Lazio won it
Santos Feedback: String line-up with a good balance to the side, Eto'o manages to get a goal for Santos today by turning his marker and scoring from inside the box, I feel this was a strong point today and Eto'o is a great signing for Santos.
Lazio Feedback: Good line-up with lots of ability. Defoe has many chances in the game but can't convert until late on in the game when he manages to get free and score the equaliser.
Ajax & Lyon get 2-0 default wins
Everyone but CF gets a 1m Bonus for on time Tactics & Votes.

To be fair since those tactics I've added three more to my squad, and looking to add more next week. But well played Gregers, I had a feeling you flooding the midfield would win you the game.

Tactics sent to Nando. Also would like to add we're looking for new managers to replace Tranq and CF as both have fallen foul of the "three strikes" rule (no tactics or votes three times in a row), Torino with a good squad or QPR with an indifferent squad albeit with loads of cash to invest.

Welcome onboard fella!
Best thing to do is get the team sheet that CF has done and re-add it as your own.
CF did sell your best player a couple of days ago, it might be worthwhile seeing if that could be reversed.

Fabio Coentrao. I would argue he's gone, but that's up to Nando. His decision is final as far as I'm concerned.
Also, CF, if you're reading this, you're fired for not doing votes last week, not doing tactics this week and not voting this week. Yet you had time to come on, sell your best player, then leave

That's why I'd argue for MOTC to be able to keep Coentrao more than anything, he didn't do tactics but still had the time to make his team worse for the next person.
