Are we still doing tactics or are we just completely stopping the league? I'm Just wondering.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
They hate being able to find stuff easily. They like the challenge that if you want to sign an opposition player, it is nearly impossible to find the team page to place the bid.
Plus I think particularly managers of the past on here have put them off and made them go over there instead.

It's stopped. Whether it restarts or reboots at a later date is unknown.

I would consider coming back to a league, but I really don't like the current format. There are some rules I really don't like!

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
Id be open to restarting it essentially from scratch but id like something different honestly it's quite tedious after a while. I had an idea for a different kind of league but not enough people to do it really.

If it's a new league, with good rules, I would consider joining. What's the idea Nando?

If it's a fun league I wouldn't mind joining, activity will be limited during work time but tactics an votes would be in.
Re: N.E.D. Social Area
How serious are you guys about setting up a world cup league?
I've finished uni today, had my last exam so I have free time.

I would write tactics Afro but it seems the league is ending so there isn't really much point mate, it's all good though.
I understand why the league is ending of course.

I've tried to set up something new for the world cup, but nobody's interested. Fan's trying to do something on ja606 but I don't think he's having much success either

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
I think there is a want to do something different, but a lack of motivation to actually do it when it comes to it.
I probably won't get involved in something new, either running and managing, but it may be worth having a page for people to come up with ideas of what they want to see in a new league, what bits they have disliked about previous leagues, what would get them to be involved in something new and what would put them off?
I'll put a topic in the Sports Gaming section..

I'm back from holiday and posted my thoughts in that thread
Who are United linked to today? I see we've gone from Hummels, Kroos and Fabregas to Clasie, Martins Indi and Nainggolan

If they're given assurances of his age, then why not? He's supposed to be good. But Ibrahima Bagayoko was meant to be good, and Everton paid £7.5m for what turned out to be a 38 year old.

You'd think Rooney would steer clear of songs with "Ho" in the title given his past connection to hookers.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
I will play Sheep.
Any others wanting to weigh in on the new league thread? I think my point about drafts vs real teams is the killer point. When we used to do real teams we'd have to constantly work to improve the team and make deals, whereas with a draft you've done all that work already. What that meant was that we were either apathetic when it came to tactics, or angry when we lost because we'd assembled a great team.
If you limit the TP increases to £0.5m per week like we used to, it becomes much more of a long-term build. And if we limit tactics, and switch the voting to a neutral person each week, then I think we can bring the funky fun back to fake online managerial gaming

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
How about we all pick a Premier League side for next season, with zero input towards transfers, tactics or who starts, with results 100% based on the real life result that weekend. Then when City win the league next April we can say "actually, CF won the league for Man City. And Bull won the FA Cup for Stoke."
Pretend football management with no need to do anything. Perfect.

Re: N.E.D. Social Area
I agree with Azzy's point above on real teams, but more to the fact we haven't done that style for a while and it is doing something different that raises interest, rather than doing the same old over again.
This might be the key point. No limit stops the mad rush at midday Tuesday. Make it so that you can buy Messi if you really want to, but it's going to take you 10 seasons to save up!!
Anyway, if we have something along those lines, which has less time needed for tactics and voting, then please consider me in. Time is my biggest problem atm

One question from that. Do Stoke win the cup next season Marty McFly? They are going to be about 25/1, so it'll be buying money

Wait until January before backing them, but yes. 100% nailed on. My Nigerian sources tell me so. Something to do with Peter Odemwingie.
