New series of 24
24
Slow to start with but got better in the second episode. Sutherland looking quite old now but still got the great stare. Love the London scenes.

I enjoyed them. As you say the first episode was slow but it improved thereafter. It feels like more like a spin-off (I know that's probably what it is, but still) than a series 9 It'll never reach the heights of some of the middle series' but I'm glad there's a little more Jack left.

I'm a massive fan of 24, but found the first two episodes a bit of a struggle. Will stick with it though.

Have enjoyed the first 3 episode's.
Never get tired with 24, despite things being done before.
Glad to see Michael Wincott in it.

Re: New series of 24
Looking forward to this week's one, as Jack getting out of the embassy promises to be explosive.
I know 24 not the most realistic shows, but I did find it's portrayal of travelling in London funny. Particularly how Jack and Chloe were able to drive to the tube station quicker than the tube, and how it took Catelyn stark's daughter ten minutes to get from the centre of London to a country estate!

Re: New series of 24
Thought last night's episode was comfortably the best of the season so far. Glad to see the episode focus on the main storylines, rather than peripheral ones like Heller's Alzheimer's. Margot's looking like a classic 24 villain. Can't wait for next week episode.
- POTENTIAL SPOILER:
- The number of subtle references about Kate's husband, are making me think that he was stitched up. I reckon Benjamin Bratt's character may have had something to do with it.

Could well be.
Good episode last night.
Some good characters in this series.
Quite like Kate.
Wincott is good.
Be interesting to see the story if they develop it between Jack and Belcheck and how Jack saved his life.
Would like to see Chloe finally be killed off. Never been a fan of hers.

Whilst I love it because it is 24 and am enjoying it being back on, this series has been constructed horrendously badly.
Chloe is an emo.
Fry as pm, just no.
Female jack, I mean kate - they've even given her the same neigh involved with a traitor and not realising story.
Setting in London, what was all that chat about pubs about? When has a yank ever called a pub a pub lol?
A lot of the side/lesser characters are a mess too.
Still, I was giddy just like 10 years ago when he blew that hole in the ceiling in episode one to escape- ridiculous but brilliant stuff. Hope it picks up again last episode was boring.

Agree with the Fry part being pm.
Re Kate's husband, as said above he may have been stitched up, will be more to that story.
Although its all been done before, still one of the best shoes on tv for me.

Looks like my suspicions about Navarro were correct.
Did anyone else notice that Trevor the wifebeater from Eastenders a few years ago was one of the goons torturing Kate?

You were right, I did not see Navarro coming!
I thought it was him. Glad the git got his beating from a woman. Twice now his character has been bumped off by a woman. Going to be type-cast now
Much better episode.

Just watched tonight's episode on catch up. What an ending, didn't think they'd have the guts to play it out the way they did.

Another mess of an episode.
I wonder how they will salvage this story now with 3 episodes left.

Should have known something was amiss when there was no silent clock. Jack throwing Margot out the window probably my favourite Bauer kill of all time now.

How doesn't it make sense? It might not be the best way the storyline could have gone but it makes sense to me and I wouldn't call it a mess.
Agree the Margot kill was amazing.

To be fair the whole thing is a mess.
But it's 24 and I love it - could they have packed anymore twists in the last 2 episodes?

Re: New series of 24
Felt like a rather abrupt ending but on the whole I really enjoyed this brief foray back into the series. 24 never fails to enthrall even if it sometimes starts off slow and even if it does constantly overstep the bounds of realism.
Door left open for more too (without spoiling, surely they won't let it end this negatively).

Re: New series of 24
Was a decent final episode.
No more Audrey. Thought she would have surrived.
Safe to say Chang wont be back:)
Glad to see Belcheck back in it.
Have enjoyed the series.

Are they doing another one?

Fox haven't confirmed whether or not they're renewing it. This season was good fun, and I particularly enjoyed Belcheck's cameos and Kate.

Yeah Kate was good in it.
Thought the whole cast were decent.
Except for Chloe(never been a fan of hers).

Re: New series of 24
Kate was just a female version of Jack - I had no interest in her.
More misery for Jack. Great last couple of episodes, standard 24 fare though.
I expect the next season (if they renew it) to be Chloe, Belcheck and Kate teaming up trying to rescue Jack or something along those lines - they'll do well to get filming in Russia given current circumstances.
