Released/Championship/National League/Academy Bidding

First topic message reminder :

This page is for bidding for previously released, Championship, National League and academy players who are not currently in the game. In relation to previously released players this can be any player who has been at a team in the game in any of the previous five seasons. In the event that I cannot remember that player being in the game and being released you will need to hunt for some evidence of this for me. The maximum that I will charge for any player in these categories is £5 million, however if a bidding war ensues you may end up paying more.

I will leave all bids a minimum of 24 hours before answering them.

I think it was when we got foreigns. I remember Steve finishing the season with a few and picking players up for a few weeks.

Yeah they were reset with the foreigns in the summer. Worked out quite nicely as most has used them up by the time of the Under 20 WC.

Not that too many English players look like they'll be stars of the show.

SJE, if from an English club it has always been counted as a domestic, think we've had Joel/Sam Tomkins, Lee Smith in that way, whilst Burgess was a foreign as came from Australia.

Charnley looks like a very good player - has he signed for Sale in real life?

No idea, but he was on the foreigns page! Haven't found Tomkins etc though

He wasn't playing in England, so counted towards a foreign signing. I presume it would be like trying to sign the Wilson that is playing wing for the Highlanders, as he played 7's for England, but his Club is now outside of England.

I'm pretty sure it's always been that you can bid for them during the foreign window but they don't count against you allocation.
