Re: The Seve movie
No.
How can it possibly be as good as the original?

No Super ... he'll be portrayed as a Spaniard.
And people still question the legs of the Seve legend stuff? Please.

Re: The Seve movie
The Americans love to change history in films, so maybe, he'll be an American, rename him Steve Ballesteros or perhaps that would be too sensible a name, maybe something like Staircase Ballesteros.

Re: The Seve movie
Don't think I'll go to the cinema to watch it but I'll probably download it at some point. I won't be looking for Oscar type performances or be seeking to nitpick on any historical continuity errors, just enjoy a reminder of what a character he was and how good he was. Just hope they get it right.
I suspect they'll have missed one little gem they could have got in. Mate of a mate was at Wentworth watching a practice round (might have been a pro-am) and he was watching Seve, just as Seve was addressing a shot the guy's mobile went off. Seve came over and said "Who's phone went off?" The rather embarrassed bloke owned up. Seve then goes "Here you take this club and take my shot - Give me your phone" The guy gives Seve the phone and gets the club. Seve, with the phone say's "Hello, this is Seve Ballesteros, he's busy he'll call you back" and hung up...brilliant!!

Re: The Seve movie
This story would be better if Seve was American, played by Tom Cruise. Let's call it a "re-imagining" of the legend, then he could single handedly defeat the evil English baddie in the R&A clubhouse and win the Ryder Cup. You could also weave Payne Stewart into the story, as the herioc pilot who flies to certain death to allow Seve to save the White house from a foreign invasion and blow up the death star.

Re: The Seve movie
I like it Ray, imagine a matrix-style kung fu fight between Seve and Payne in a jet, before Seve gains the upper hand and yells "get off my plane!!" before delivering the coup de gras.

Re: The Seve movie
Id rather Watch Natalie Gulbis the movie.
(I actually think she's a bit of a munter, but for comedy effect lets assume she's fit)

And she's always super excited.. which is err.. awesome.
It (Seve) will be no Rush but I'll watch it when it hits TV, so a couple of weeks after release.

Re: The Seve movie
I think Id watch it if it Andrew Sachs played Seve and they could find a way for John Cleese to be in the film.

With Russell Brand and Jonathon Woss as the baddies?

I could see a young Steve, I mean Seve, having a pet hamster.

Re: The Seve movie
John Cleese could play every member of the R&A there's ever been. Looking down on plebian professional golfers.

Body of Baywatch, Face of Crimewatch, Nice from afar, far from nice Diggers.
Saw her up close once in the street, and I can only think that most of her magazine "glamour" shots are severely doctored. She's not naturally attractive at all. Very chavvy look to her and the complexion of a stone chip driveway

Nice jubblies tho :-p
Kudos for being able to adapt a golf swing round those orbs. We have an annual long weekend golf trip to Okehampton and traditionally on the Saturday there's a fancy dress theme. It was 70s sitcom characters a couple of years ago. The prize for the best costume was a nice golf bag so I pulled out all the stops and went as Nora Batty. Honestly, coming off the 2nd tee I gave myself a mastectomy, the old socks acting as boobs were so so getting in the way!!

Re: The Seve movie
Er, no. I don't think I'll make any effort to watch it although if they had gone with Cleese and Sachs, that might have made it worthwhile.
