All the text, names and link are in bold unlike every other thread!
Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
I tried to put my last comment in bold just to see what happened - to see if it switched bold off or made text double bold but I just got regular bold! Not sure why everything is bold by default though....

Clancy sucks.
The Welsh press has put to much pressure on Williams.
He is only 22 for chirst sake yet Wales think he is the second coming of Jenkins or something.

I don't know that much about him but he looks a lot worse this week compared to last week. He's a relative youngster too so I guess there's lots of scope for improvement.

Yep and as such I agree with you that the hype surrounding him last week does not seem to have had a good effect on him this week.

You think of he game last against Clermont ad the one last week.
He is a very good player but the Welsh press we stupid with the pressure they put on him.
IF ~Manu was back I think it would be a much closer game.

Hey
There was plenty more in the English press mate. He has been in the Welsh spotlight sunce before he went to the Tigers.
Why are you criticising one player so much? It's a team sport...!

When is Manu back? He's such an asset for Leicester and for England. He'd certainly have given Toulon something extra to worry about today.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
Where was articles from the English press?
He has only really been in the Welsh press since last weekend he has had 5 articles on him from Wales online alone.
And where did I criticise him??????????
Manu back within 3 weeks.

Yes, I agree. Rugby teams are the teams you are referring too. He is possibly the worst referee in the sport, though Wayne Barnes was in pretty ordinary form at Scotstown earlier

Hi maes - I don't think anyone's really criticising Williams - just saying the hype has perhaps had a negative effect upon him this week. We're very aware in England that our press are past masters of this build em up and knock em down game.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
There were a lot of individual mistakes in that first 15 minutes - from many players, experienced and less experienced. While we would have still lost, that set the tone and the scale of the defeat,
Thought Clancy was pedantic but fair.
Overall i am pleased with the spirit we showed, the commitment to defence and more attacking intent than I have seen from us in the last 4 weeks. We need to carry the intensity we have shown in both games (excluding first 20 today) to FG next week - and who knows.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
We seem to being linked with every seven, eight and full back going.
I'd settle for re-signing what we have and getting them fit. Maybe a new 12 as I can't remember Allen actually playing well this season.

Allen played well yesterday imo, just lacks that force next to them.
Apparently according to Bayonne fans Tait is a done deal pretty much, Salvi less so.
Wouldn't mind if tait went you looked to put Morris and Bell their and sign another out and out finisher on the wing.
Goneva looks less confident at backing himself this season.

Allen, did some good stuff yesterday.
Goneva has never been the quickest of wingers and was a defensive liability yesterday. Will probably excel against Saints
I really like what I have seen so far from Bell. Not registered for ERCC, but i really can see him playing FB and kicking the goals.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
I've not seen the game from yesterday yet. Was playing for my club and completing 2014 undefeated in league games. Wish Tigers could have done the same...
Agreed on Bell he looks to be developing into a quality player and has a good ability from the tee. Would still like to see Bryant given another chance at 12 at some point in the league. Think he offered more in that Sale game then we've had at 12 for a while, a player to develop.

Good to see Tom Price back in action. He's had rotten luck with injuries. Thacker as captain is an interesting call. Clearly rated.
Pohe is a telling ommission. He wasn't starting for Notts at the weekend.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
Pohe might be injured again?
Catchpole and Roberts were very impressive from what I have heard.
I really rate Catchpole and I feel that a injury free start of season he might of gotten some first team game time this season.
Final score was 41 - 3 With Briggs and R.Williams getting the last 2 tries.
Our academy players and youngsters are looking very promising.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
That's the entire front row tied down to new deals. Excellent news.
Williams is a a big unit but not the brightest. I seem to remember him attracting a lit of ref attention. Good prospect as he is still young. We seem to be stocking up on locks at the minute.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2014/15 Thread.
Great news about Ayerza, Youngs and Cole.
Managed to make my first A league fixture of the season last night - good solid performance but against a Bristol side that looked a bit meh. Tommy bell was strong in first half and some good showings in second from the young lads on the bench. Catchpole and Roberts outmuscled their opponents - something not likely to happen at AP level.

How did we play today ? (was at a panto with my kids). Disappointed that we lost when they were down to 14 for so long.

Was poor.
Defence to narrow which cause us a lot of problems.
Attack was poor, except for the odd runs.
Still no plan B.

It was a another pantomime with appalling acting from Smith. As with all pantos it all came right in the end.LondonTiger wrote:How did we play today ? (was at a panto with my kids). Disappointed that we lost when they were down to 14 for so long.

How did Cole get on against Saints front row? A strong and firing Cole is needed for England.

Are we actually saying that Hartley did not elbow Smith in the face?

No. Not saying that at all. He deserved a yellow in my opinion. It was not very hard and did not seem a deliberate attempt to injure. And he was stupid. He has to know that of all people he is watched closely. I haven't seen the match yet, so can only react to replays that have been posted.

An elbow to the face is a red all day long, simple as that. Hartley knows this
