Anyone Embarrassed To Admit They Follow Boxing?
Just caught a video of Robert Garcia calling Mayweather a bitch; Tyson Fury calling Dereck Chisora a bitch (among other things) hot on the heels of Froch and Groves having a six month long televised spat.
Is this what the sport's been reduced to?
The more the sport tends towards WWE the more odd I feel about reading a boxing mag in public.
Suarez nibbles a player's shoulder and is pilloried. Boxing "stars" are actively encouraged to act like 12-year- old gangsters.

If you think that's bad, somebody called Glenn McCrory a drunk.
Don't actually mind the back and forth all that much to be honest as long as its backed by something in the ring. I don't think Fury calling someone a bitch is as embarrassing as watching a footballer roll around acting like one when they haven't been touched.
The actually state the sport is in is pretty embarrassing. Pound for pound, multi belt, multi weight, avoid the best because it makes financial sense sort of crap. That's without touching on the drug regulations and blatant corruption.

Do you slip your boxing mag into a newspaper when buying it in the newsagent?
I generally don't tell people I like boxing. I can spot a boxing fan at 20 paces, it's the aura.

I'm not embarrassed about being a boxing fan... it's pretty big in Johannesburg, and fight nights normally come close to sold out. In northern Johannesburg, it's pretty tight knit, and I know most of the big local lads.
The other stuff though, are quite embarrassing. Doesn't really happen at home, though. Out here your more likely to sell big if you tell people our opponent has a chance.

When reading in public I hide my boxing mags inside my copy of razzle to avoid embarrassment.

I'm so embarrassed that I publicly chastise people who are reading boxing mags while pleasing with my eyes for them to understand what I'm doing. I think they usually understand.

I'd say it's more the judging that makes me embarassed as it gives my buddy a reason to berate me with why MMA is better. It also stops people getting back into/into the sport as a couple of really bad decisions and they decide that why should they invest the time in something like that. (Bad matchups do the same.)

Pretty alarming If you're worried a complete stranger may think you like Boxing..
If you are though do what I do..Stick a copy of Playgirl down your pants when no one is looking...So the bird on the counter is too busy looking at your huge lunchbox instead....Even better swirl your hips suggestively....You may even get a date !!

Never embarrassed.
Only honest sport on the planet. Test of character, will, and conditioning.
2 men 1 ring
that's how I like it

10 world titles, 1 bent ref, 3 crooked judges and a partridge in a pear tree.

I presume you are implying the recent trend of PEDS being used in boxing?
No matter
PEDS do not make you a better boxer
So its still 2 men 1 ring bring the pain
just how I like it.

No I'm on about the dodgy judging we've seen.
Ref's that call fights off too early or let them carry on too late.
Boxers not bothering with weight stips.
Shocking bias on the part of commentary teams
And you can throw the drug thing in too (If there was no benefit at all nobody would bother with them.) Although that's a problem with a lot of sports.

Nahhh never embarrassed. I live in South Wales so I spend enough time defending football to idiot rugby fans (normally hen parties.).

Not one bit embarrassed.
I actually watch less and less footy now due to their diva ways. As much as I don't like say Fury, I'd still love him to teach a few of them a lesson!
