If the ref could have seen the replay I wonder if it would have been red. Holmes should have been sin binned as should have been the dragons guy.
Dragons game now.

Didn't the ref ask for the build up which the TMO ignored? Harsh red, yellow at best.

It was the touch judge that called that and he really should have seen it properly, he was standing right next to it and insisted it was a stamp on a joint

Sloppy play by Pyrgos there. Can't afford that kind of slackness now.

That is just fantastic forward play by Glasgow. First half and second half paying two different ways. Look real contenders.

Yes, a very well deserved 4th try. Have to say Dragons look like they have given up the ghost. It must be demoralising being stuffed by 14 men, hard to get the head around I guess.

Dunbar MoM. Hard to argue with that but Strauss was exceptional when on and I thought Weir had his best game for a long time, one charge down aside. Again though a really strong team performance, no one played anything other than really well. The squad and the competition within it is really paying off.

What a result and performance, considering we had to play 30 minutes a man down.
Weir put us where we wanted to be and the back 3 stepped up. Dunbar is getting better all the time. With Scott at 12 it looks like Scotland have finally for a very good centre combination.

Glasgow were unstoppable this afternoon - few teams in Europe can cope with that.

Glasgow are on a different level, they looked fresh as daisies at the end while the Dragons looked like they have been playing for 5 hours.
They are easily on par with the Irish big 3 both in terms of level and squad depth.
I will be disappointed if they doesn't reach the later stage in Europe.

Don't think so. We really need to pick up the wins early doors as it will be tough during the international period and we have a harder run in than last season.

As mentioned by the commentators we have good strength in depth.
Also has to be said Dragons were pretty poor which considering their injuries is understandable.

Yeah but Glasgow were still winning those games last few seasons early doors but not with those margins, can they keep up that tempo for a whole season?
What i saw here is the kind of rugby we usually see in April/May.

True but what do you want the coaches to do, tell the players to stop playing well. It's a long season, yes but Tonnie has a big squad and will have to manage it accordingly.

Yes that's a great squad, apart for scrumhalf maybe, i can't think of a position Glasgow doesn't have strength in depth.

Scrum half is an area of serious weakness after the first two. Could be an issue if both are away during the AIs.

Re: Newport Gwent Dragons v Glasgow Warriors, 20 September
Dragons just look lazy in defence, and they're too slow. That's disappointing to see, I thought the coaches would have whipped them into shape by now. We've a few players out and some to come in but that's no excuse, if you get your chance you need to take it. Glasgow were pretty good yet again and deserved the 5 points, especially after a pretty ridiculous red card. This year I'd like to see them challenge for honours in both competitions.

Dorian Jones is Poopie in defence and attack only playing because hes the coaches son. Hate to say it but Brew is v slow now and cost us the one try. Very bad performance.

Glasgow do have great strength in depth, probably more than any other side in the league. They have a great style of play and a brilliant attitude.
They are my second favourite team to watch, which is confusing because I'm always loving their expansive play and then hoping they don't get the bonus point/lose.

Re: Newport Gwent Dragons v Glasgow Warriors, 20 September
Huge gulf in class today, fair play Glasgow are play a very clever brand of rugby. I actually would like to see them win the Pro12 this year as they have been so close in recent times and let's be honest it's going to be a while until a Welsh region will be competing at the top again.
Dragons well what can I say... the injury crisis at midfield cost us as I predicted and the fact we have no cover at 10 is worrying. I do believe once we get our 1st choice backs fit again we will start to improve albeit very slowly.
Anyway well done to Glasgow, a competent win.

Re: Newport Gwent Dragons v Glasgow Warriors, 20 September
Whilst we are on about officiating, from the terrace it appeared the touch judges were not very interested in calling things. Seemed a few not straights, particularly with the crafty lineouts and Niko (sp) feeding all the time. The ref was so poor today, but of course it didn't play any part overall.
Everybody knew Glasgae would be comfortable and I guess I would take the margin, as they're definitely a cut above our level.
