I feel like such a idiot for thinking United will finish over Liverpool - just what were I thinking?!

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Didn't think they could play much worse than the Villa game but they did. Henderson getting beat at the far post for the first, which Mignolet has to share some of the blame for. That ball is close enough for him to collect, instead he stayed glued to his line. The second was a cracking finish, not taking anything away from that, but Sahko's header for the third? What the hell was he thinking?
I have no doubt that fans will start moaning about Balotelli, they need to realise he isn't Suarez. He put a better shift in today, however we need to be creating chances for him, he's superb in the air yet we don't cross. Rodgers needs to react to this, and quickly.

Bar Sterling the whole Liverpool team has been shocking.
Credit to West Ham mind. They easily negotiated the mess in front of them.

The end is nigh for Gerrard I suspect. West Ham really targetted his lack of pace

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Liverpool need to start phasing Gerrard out of the side. Henderson is having to do the job of two men atm

A home Champions League tie 4 days prior is in no way an excuse for that tonight.
Utter tosh to even suggest it.

Nope and I didn't before. But I would love to be proved wrong.
I think when lallana is a fully integrated starter we could see a big difference.
Henderson is so overated on here. He is cumbersome and slow with no ability to play a decent forward pass. He needs to learn the holding role more and if lallana gets fully fit he will be able to. Him sterling and Sturridge will then be a hand full and Liverpool will be better at the back.

I really don't see anything to worry about in this current Liverpool, going forward they're going to worry teams but they lack mobility in midfield and the defence is still a shambles despite buying numerous defensive players over the past 12 months.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
basically, i see united & liverpool this way. both defences are vulnerable but United's firepower & depth in attacking options is far better than liverpool's now, especially without suarez making the difference. gerrard is gone too & opposition just hound him nowadays & prevent him dictating at his own pace & pinging balls around. Sturridge being injury prone also is a huge factor. Chelsea, City, Arsenal & then United, is how i saw it a few months ago, nothing's changed my mind. I can only see United getting stronger & stronger under LVG as the confidence grows.

That toon fightback was the worst thing that could've happened for them today
Reminds me of Hughton last year. Pardew is doing just enough to keep his job long enough to take the toon down

Or the best thing, will give the players confidence & with Cisse now returned & looking hungry, we now have a striker who can finish, instead of that pile of s**t, Riviere. That was our problem, no finisher. I don't really see what a new manager coming in would do now. If the players weren't playing for Pardew, they would of folded & we would of got turned over by 3 or 4, instead we rallied around & got a point. Ashley has apparently said he's remaining patient for this season, so I don't see Pardew being sacked & Ashley does the complete opposite to whatever the Newcastle fans want.

Ashley wants rid of the club. Why would he spend money in sacking Pardew and hiring a replacement?

Yep agree john.
Pardew is going nowhere . your team fought. Pardew hasnt lost the dressing room . not sure there is any point bringing in another manager to deal with your bunch. All this blame pardew stuff is stupid. Its Ashley's policy not pardews fault. You all have to ride it out and hope something changes in Ashley's head one day.

Hughton never lost the dressing room either. I'm telling you if the toon want to stay up they need to get rid and get a Pulis/Moyes in. Stay with Pardew = relegation

Didn't he only score 2 last season?
I like Pardew as a manager he's decent as a person he's a douche. I still feel confident Brown Ideye will outscore Riviere and he's barely played

why would pulis go to the toon?
no chance- his wife loves it down the south too much and he has no incentive at the toon, keeping them up would be easy- but come next transfer time he will have a hisssy fit because Ashley wont agree to buy anyone he wants.
moyes is the fav to go there if pardew goes- but for me i am not sure he would want to go there either.
Pardew will keep the toon up anyway.

Bossed em. What a performance. Downing, Nobes, Sakho, Song and Kouyate all over it. Our attack flows and the movement is wonderful. Valencia and Sakho take up different positions and are full of confidence.

2 fantastic goals by Jelavic and Diame (yeah good decision to let him go big sam)
Hull with a bit of a collapse, 2 goals from Cisse have probably saved Pardew's job for a week.
Bruce with a good shout, saying we should all get behind Pardew, as there isn't many english managers left, great point, even though Pardew is a cu*t.

West Ham could be a real force in this league, if they sack big sam. Battered Liverpool for most of the first half. Got a good team, that really has the potential do well in this league.
That being said Liverpool looked awful. Great goal by Sterling though.
Sahko is just awful. Why can't he head the ball normally?

Very odd game at Villa Park, Villa dominating the opening half hour and then before they know it there 3-0 down.
Reality check for Villa though. Big win for Arsenal and great to see Welbeck opening his account.

Look what happens when you play Ozil in the hole and not out wide Arsene. Stop shafting him out wide, either play him in the hole or drop him

Without Sanchez arsenal looked more like arsenal.....
A little bit worrying perhaps. Ramsey still not back to his best, but an improvement on his recent games.
The link up with welbeck and ozil really was the difference today . great to see. Both seemd to have space and freedom without Sanchez running around like a bull in a China shop.
