You could see Liverpool losing every game if every opponent just lumps long balls at them for 90 minutes.

COUTINHOOOOO!
Balotelli cannot start against Madrid, would honestly rather play Sterling as a false 9.

2-1. Couthino. Great counter attack. QPR probably should of done a tactical foul somewhere there.

Massive fluke that.
Have to say I thought Henry's booking was harsh earlier- which stopped him making the foul he needed too.

Allen with his arm on the post.
One of the lowest quality games you will ever see.
Liverpool going to be facing a long season as everyone is going to pepper them with long balls.

Balotelli has got to be dropped, I would say this is probably one of the worst games I've ever seen a player have for Liverpool.

Can we reflect how awful balotelli has been.
Sums him up that, good chance- just instep it on target. Instead stupid back heel wide.

Oh the hilarity. I have not seen a Liverpool player give such an atrocious individual performance since Gerrard against Chelsea last season .

That performance will probably keep Redknapp in the job.
That result will do likewise for Rodgers. I do jest, kinda..

Balotelli for me gave a 0 out of 10 performance. Rodgers has got to show some balls and drop him, even if it means playing no natural striker, he cannot continue to start after playing so poorly against the worst team in the league.
I would play this against Madrid:
At least that has a decent amount of pace and will be able to press. I would start Lambert or Borini before Balotelli. His efforts today were non existent. That back heel attempt was pathetic.

Mignolet
Johnson - Skrtel - Lovren - Moreno
Gerrard
Henderson - Allen
Coutinho - Sterling - Lallana

Liverpool can only attack and prey sterling and countinhio can exploit.
Anything like a 2-4 defeat will be ok.. Then Sturbridge will be back in the next fixture and they can calm it down a bit.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
No idea where to even start. How a premier league defence can be so pathetically inept at dealing with a ball into the box is beyond me! It's been a recurring problem in the Rodgers era, if he can't manage a defence just pay someone else to do it for you!
Ballotelli is a clown, a disaster, a pathetic excuse for a footballer. Johnson pretty brutal as always. Enrique was poor. (Manquillo and Moreno the far better options for us).
Would have to think that leaving ballotelli out would at least help with the attacking flow but the issue with crosses is a whole team issue that Rodgers seems unable to resolve. Don't think I've ever been this disappointed with a winning performance. Truely awful at times. Bring on Madrid...
