The 606v2 Fleaflicker Fantasy American Football League
First topic message reminder :
Hey everyone,
I've decided to create a fantasy NFL league for this forum. I've created the league on the site fleaflicker.com. Some of you may wonder why I haven't created the league on nfl.com or espn, but I have used all three of these sites and although fleaflicker isn't the best looking, it definitely has the best features and is a fantastic site to start a fantasy league on.
The draft for this league will not be for a long time so there's no rush, I currently have it set to September 3rd but that may change. I think early September is good because it gives a lot of time for the lockout to be resolved.
If you're interested, go on http://www.fleaflicker.com/nfl/ and search for the league "606v2" in the "join a league" section, it should come up (you'll have to create a free account on there first, please use the same name as on here if possible). The password for the league is "lockout". If you haven't got a clue how to play fantasy American football then feel free to post on this thread or on the message board that is on the league site itself.
If you've never played before and you're unsure then I would urge you to try it, it is seriously good fun, especially the draft, and it adds meaning to games that do not involve your favourite team.
Thanks

I was the same last season, if you go on NFL.com they do rankings for each position and I'm sure many other sites will do the same, obviously the rankings aren't always correct but they'll help give an idea of who is likely to be having a good season.adams_legend wrote:I would like to get involed but as i am new to NFL i have no idea about how it works or about what players to pick

Nice! We have a full league everyone! The draft order has been randomly generated if you want to take a look at that, as well as the schedule. Make sure you rank your players and do a couple mock drafts before the draft comes around. It'll be a little boring now, we have a long wait until the draft and the season. When it gets closer to the date I'll bump this thread to remind people.

8th in the draft is OK preferred to be slightly higher (5th or 6th)

So the NFL is back! Just posting a reminder to those in this league that the draft is on the 3rd of September so get draft boards set and make sure you are free at 5:00 pm.
Just noticed that someone in the league has dropped out, so we have one space in the best fantasy league in 606v2! Don't worry if you've never used fleaflicker before, it is very easy and well laid out, make sure you use the mock draft kit to get used to the drafting process.

Sambazz is sgb on here! Haven't posted much as you can see, but I will do from now on. I needed to find a serious fantasy football league as all the others I have been in previosly have been disasters.
I guarantee the Colt McCoys will make the playoffs!

I was in league2 last year, so thought I'd try my hand at v2 this year. Draft still in September? I think I'm going to need all the time I can get to work out who plays where after this last week...

Re: The 606v2 Fleaflicker Fantasy American Football League
what you should do is try out a mock draft by clicking on the draft tab and then on mock draft. It will help you become accustomed to the way the draft works. Also rank your players to how you want them ranked so that it is easier for you to find better players whilst drafting. And just make sure you're available for the draft, I want every team drafted by a human. Good luck!

OK so we are two days away from the draft! So I thought I'd bump this thread just to remind people of the draft at 5pm GMT on Saturday. Please make sure that you attend the draft, also ensure that your board is set and that you are up to date with the latest player news. The league is full at 14 players and I hope to have the full 14 drafting in two days time, don't let me down! Remember if you need advice just ask me, and good luck

The times always confuse me on Fleaflicker. Does 5pm GMT mean it's going to be 6pm BST???

I'm 99% sure it means 5pm BST, I think Greenwich Mean Time changes when the clocks go back and forward

Re: The 606v2 Fleaflicker Fantasy American Football League
I forgot about the dating of this draft, and my other fantasy draft I don't imagine my girlfriend will be too pleased if I tell her to go watch the tv in silence so I can take part in a couple of drafts. I'll have to go sort my orders out but I can see me ending up with a very weak team when I log on late Saturday night.

Ah crap that's annoying if the deputy commish can't make it. Well spend some time with your rankings and it shouldn't be too bad. Fleaflicker auto-draft is pretty good as long as you don't have guys like Mikel Leshoure and John Carlson rated highly.

Thank you, I think you're right. Just checked the current GMT and it is one hour back from BST. So I've changed the draft time to 4:00 pm GMT which is 5:00pm our time. Sorry about that

With 14 teams I think 60 seconds might be best

I'm quite worried about this draft, here's a list of owners who are inactive on the league site:

arizona_tom
Thunder_n_Lning

So this is a reminder to those guys

Re: The 606v2 Fleaflicker Fantasy American Football League
Think my auto pick could have gone much worse, but I'm a bit weak at RB which was made even weaker as Jennings was put on IR. If people are the opposite of me and could do with a WR for an RB then please look at my team I'm open to offers, I would be most open to getting rid of one of Anthony Armstrong, Mike Sims-Walker or Brandon Gibson as they and Miles Austin all have the same bye week, Jason Avant is also available but I don't have an issue with his bye week, but if you give me a good enough offer I may be open to letting one of my others go.

Re: The 606v2 Fleaflicker Fantasy American Football League
I'm happy with most of my team but would have liked a stronger RB pool, if you look at my team in the 606v2 West league, you will see that I like to stock up on running backs. Considering most of my draft was autopicked im happy enough
