You can only touch the ball with one side of the stick but maybe he was doing an Indian dribble where he turns the stick very quickly.

I do none of this. I get the ball and hit it and run a lot. I'm the reason English hockey will never progress.

Yeah must have been that, he is supposed to be very good. Can't you do an Indian dribble?

Soddy is the master at the English dribble.

Think of it in football terms. The Indian dribble is like Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar where they are running very quickly keeping the ball under control with both feet.

The English dribble is more like Theo Walcott or Aaron Lennon where you kick it past the defender and run like hell to get to it first.

He's right too. I don't hold the ball on the stick and move it in complex ways. I run directly forwards or hit it very hard in no particular direction.

I'm a defender though so I call that a "clearance" no matter the situation.

I used to play RW, but my general approach was the same.

My advantage was that in those days I was quick and I was able to control the ball with the stick in one hand, which helped a lot

I watched Masterchef Oz a few series ago and couldn't believe the gulf in quality between their chefs and the UK version. Everyone rips Britain for our cuisine but the Aussies were shocking.

I wouldn't worry Viva. It is probable that there will be a case in the UK, but it sounds like we are prepared and ready for it, and the threat will be contained.

Have a read of this if you are worried.

Everything in life has a 50% chance of happening - it's either going to or not. IMO we're alright. If it was something respiratory we'd all be dead but I think something has to go catastrophically wrong for it to spread worldwide.

But the fact that a nurse who recently returned to the UK with Ebola was successfully treated at the Royal Free Hospital in London, without anyone else becoming infected, should be reassuring. We are ready for this new threat of Ebola at our shores, and will deal with it when it comes.

That's a relief.
