Ahh crap my tips were based on using an android device.

Apple is too damn restrictive and won't allow you to use different files which allows you to watch your own "downloaded" films.

TBH, I have two main reasons for getting it and that is for the missus to mirror her work from her work iPad to the TV and to use with Sky Go.

But I want to try and get as much out of it as possible.

I think I probably need to sign up to Netflix too.

I got bored of Netflix, we pay to have Sky Movies on Now TV instead. Much newer films and on demand. Also not having Sky Sports means I can use the occasional day pass on Now TV as well.

When you connect the chromecast to the ipad all you need to do is click on cast screen and it's done, mirroring what's on the ipad to the TV.

The films are a lot newer than the ones on Netflix but it's not a subscription service you pay for what you want to watch. One movie can cost £7 wheras a month subscription of Netflix costs £6
