Gregers / CJB - If BayBlader doesn't emerge... Would you both rather have a default win or face -off against each other? Your call but please let me know.

Re: WWA Season 8 Homepage
Happy for either tbh, might be easier to have defaults though to keep things fair for all
Re: WWA Season 8 Homepage
I'd say go with a default and then I'll go back through and give default wins to OPAL's older opponents...same with Twist's as well I guess.

I have to admit, I'm glad I have no byes/defaults, I find I half ass it if I've got no competition.

Looking foreward to feedback on my show this week, hopefully the pay off was a shock

Totally up to you but you could take over Twist's promotion if needs be? Would only be 3 final shows. Hopefully BayBlader will re-appear at some point and we can move back up to having 8 active promotions.
Thunder what's the current situation on BayBlader?

This Week? nXtreme & LOC have default wins. Everybody seems to have voted that way.
If both Gregers & CJB want to have a competitive fixture then we will all need to re-vote on that one fixture.
It's about time that League Table got updated.

Still awaiting votes from Viper, CJB and BayBlader.
The Original Post has been updated so deadlines for both shows and voting for week's 6 and 7 added. Plan now to meet these deadlines, you have plenty of time to get organised to meet these deadlines.
Thunder can you please speak to BayBlader and let us know what the situation is?

- SDF Feedback:
- SDF Feedback
This show really needed to push the development of Foley's new stable and I'm glad we finally have an explanation. Although the mid-card felt slightly neglected, the main-angle took some good shape/progression and I will be interested to see who the entire stable feud against if I'm presuming that Nigel will act as the face of SDF.
SDF
I’m sorry but, I had a hard time reading the show. I don’t like the italic font, that may just be me but, hey. The Foley group to me feels forced and as though none of them really mesh with each other.
SDF:
+ A good show which showed progression on the main angle from the PPV, I presume this is leading to Foley vs McGuinness?
- I feel like your midcard has got lost in the shuffle, as good as the main angle is it can't carry the whole show moving forward
SDF
I think the matches all managed their purpose and everyone had some kind of intrigue behind it
Lots of matchups I cannot wait to see
SDF
This season SDF has felt a bit unorganised but this weeks show made a step in the right direction with the entire roster now getting involved in storylines and the show not just relying on the groups storyline. The show had good and bad moments but overall was quite enjoyable, I'm not a fan of WWE Style squash matches but I do look forward to Rollins/Hardy's conclusion as it's a feud that would be awesome in real life. I'm also enjoying the partnership between Rusev and Lashley as well as Foley's Gang. I'm not 100% sure about Zayn being a member but this show gave him a good build and helped create a violent character, the same with Cole who seems like a slightly better fit. Overall a good show with a great ending that is slightly let down by minor things such as the formatting and a few too many beat downs.
- WWR Feedback:
- WWR Feedback
Personally, I'd like to see this Thunder return next season reading some of the segments have been a breath of fresh air with some real creativity, especially the riddle. Like the direction that Dean Ambrose is heading in as the underdog. Apart from that Barrett / Malenko seem like an odd paring
and I would have probably changed the main event into a gimmick match to further the feud.
WWR:
+ The linking from ASWF to WWR was done superbly throughout
+ Some superb matches and a weekly show that was up there with the PPVs in match quality
- I felt having the world title defended on the normal weekly show wasn't needed, it cheapens the title somewhat as their was little build for it. Only a minor thing but a bit of a bugbear of mine
WWR
Like the booking off Wade Barrett/Dean Ambrose
Tag team division looks incredibly strong
WWR
WWR this week is a good show that continues to build up where the PPV left off. I feel that solid storylines are being built up here and the team of McMahon and Umaga with Shane following in his Dad's footsteps could be a real highlight. I'm also a fan of The Miz and Sheamus teaming as I think Miz is a brilliant cowardly heel and Sheamus has been crying out for a no nonsense, ass kicking gimmick for so long and this could be great. I felt the show itself was a little too detailed at times in a very segment heavy show and I felt it could have done with being a little more concise. Overall a great show and I loved the Simpsons reference.
- XXX Feedback:
- XXX
Not sure what I can say to critique the show, story lines are solid, the BYPB idea was a nice one, sorry I didn’t contribute, I forgot. Well written, well scripted, well formatted but, I expect nothing less of Viper these days. Everything flawless, in the end it came down to which stories I enjoyed watching evolve myself
XXX
+ A solid show, the fan interaction worked well and led to you showing off your own writing ability well
+ I liked the debut of Paige and your continuing focus on the women taking on the men
- How does a ladder match end in a no contest? I get the ending but Im not sure a ladder match can end like that? Surely it just doesn't end?
XXX
Really sell me on the main event and Super Dragon as atm I feel confused and unsure.
XXX
Still not a huge fan of intergender matches.
Tag division is so strong
Liked the New York City title feud. Numerous interesting layers
- NGPW Feedback:
- NGPW
Again, like Viper hard to critique the show, well written through out. Enjoying watching the British Embassy and looking forward to seeing where that goes. There really isn’t much more I can add.
NGPW
NGPW win but... since when does a chain match end in a dq? especially when using the weapon the match allows?
NGPW:
+ I'm not usually a fan of having belts on the line in a weekly show but the explanation as to why worked perfectly here
+ I really liked the debut of Awesome Kong and look forward to the rematch at the PPV
- I'm not as in to Angle vs Raven as I should be, not sure I see Raven at the same level (although im sure others do). A superb show as always though
NGPW
Despite not winning, good booking for Raven
Kong booked very scary as well
I'm not actually sure about the Cage turn.
- LOC Feedback:
- LOC Feedback
My only real criticism of this show was how the main event was booked. Even though Owens never took the pin, it makes him look weak so should have walked out on Harper before the finish. Everything else ran real smoothly and I very much enjoyed the debut of James Storm which felt fresh
with a slight nod to introducing talent from the late 90's. Honestly, I would like to see CJB return next season and see what he can really do with his own roster.
LOC
That felt a little rushed and little hap-hazard. Maybe it’s just me but, I’m not even sure where the pairing of Harper & Owens came from.
LOC:
+ A great show this week, I though the focus on Bishoffs guys vs everyone else was done very well and moved the show along well
- Having Owens lose in the main event was a bit of an anticlimax, felt the show could have done with another segment post main event as the show just sort of ended if that makes sense
L.O.C
A good show this week with a nice build of Goldberg turning on Owens as well as building up the feud of The Rock and Roman Reigns. I felt the show at times felt thrown together with certain things not making sense but overall it was a good show. The main event was good but I felt that although it made LAX look strong it weakened the world Champion Owens slightly when he should be made to look strong as hell with him possibly going on to face Goldberg.
- nXtreme Feedback:
- nXtreme Feedback
Solid show as always but felt the undercard was heavily exposed on this week's show with 4 matches and one non-starter. Such a fan of how Austin Aries is currently booked so will be interesting to see where he slots in. Queen in the Cell was perfectly executed making me want more to this feud.
Not really hyped at all to see Cena/Bennett but i'm prepared to go on the journey. You have 2 shows to convince me.
nXtreme
Firstly, your not facing WWR this week, that’s next week lol. Another good show as expected from a veteran of the virtual book. The main event screw job was unexpected but, that’s probably because I’ve only just come in to this season.
nXtreme
Hail Sabin, that is all.
nXtreme
Angry Sabin is good
Women's division as ever is brilliant
Like the twist at the end although not sure Bennett is the best man for it
Nxtreme
Nxtreme this week puts out a really good show that builds from a great PPV. The show started with a great recap that helped convey the danger that Cena possesses to nxtreme. I felt the show flowed really well and set up the second half of the season brilliantly. The matches were good and the opener helped Rikishi look strong without making Aries looking weak. The show seems to have found a perfect balance of comedy and serious storylines with A-Ry and Spud making me laugh out loud and a heel Sabin working really well. The highlight for me though is the Trish/Lita storyline that has really pushed how the diva division should be seen. The end of the show itself was awesome and it really pushed Bennett to the Main Event scene without feeling forced. The only criticism I can give is that at points the show felt a bit segment heavy and some of the matches felt short BUT this didn't take away from what felt like a near perfect show.

How does a ladder match end in a no contest? I get the ending but Im not sure a ladder match can end like that? Surely it just doesn't end?
The match turned in to chaos and both competitors were laid out, the ring filled with five people who weren't in the match and I believe this was enough to have the match called off.

Really sell me on the main event and Super Dragon as atm I feel confused and unsure.
I'm not entirely sure what this means haha

I guess Triple X is not the show for you then! I like the idea that Triple X would hand pick women tough enough to stand toe to toe with the men. This week we do have Paige v LeRae though so you'll be happy!

In terms of Owens/Harper v LAX
I thought I made Owens and LAX come off strong. Owens dominated in the ring, LAX used a lot of tag team tricks (keeping Harper away from Owens) and pinned Harper

Re: WWA Season 8 Homepage
Thanks for the feedback guys, while I'd like to address why I put the title on the line, I can't. I'm not too sure why I did it myself, it just seemed right at the time of writing and sometimes in this game you just have to go with your gut. As for why I did not put a gimmick on that match, it's simple, I wanted a straight singles match that Barrett could interrupt.
I can not tell you how chuffed I am by these bits of feedback
"Tag team division looks incredibly strong"
"I'd like to see this Thunder return next season reading some of the segments have been a breath of fresh air with some real creativity"
"I loved the Simpsons reference"
I'm so, happy right now with those bits just making my day, I'm glad someone got the reference.
BayBlader
I have spoken to BayBlader. During PPV week, he wrote a show to go up, Injuries were posted for that week, which he didn't know didn't effect his show and saw them after he'd written his show, the injuries effectively destroyed his show so, he gave up on that one. Since then he hasn't really been able to pick himself back up. I think he's a little embarrassed that he missed two shows and doesn't feel he can continue on. He sends his apologises and hopes that maybe you guys will be ok with him joining next season maybe. With all this in mind, I was the only one that got any trades done before he broke, would you like me to give Malenko back to that roster and return Nash to mine?

Thunder can please pass this message on...
He doesn't need to feel embarrassed about missing out on the shows, he if had any question or confusion anybody here would have helped him out. Truthly Fernando & Myself would use the shows here as a measuring stick on how well they meet deadlines and on what they can produce then we consider putting a list together on who we want to ask back for the following season.
See if you can get him to attempt the last two shows or something.

XXX v SDF
and week 7 is:
XXX v WWR
TNT v SDF *BYE*
TOTSC v NGPW *BYE*
Nxtreme v LOC
or NGPW v SDF is Enigma and Uryu want that instead?

Not very happy with Uryu just dropping out the way he has... He wasn't even in last place.
I would purpose that for the final weekly show (Next Show after this week) we scrap fixtures and vote PPV style so everybody has something to play for.
All BayBlader & Uryu's roster will now be available to purchase as a Foreign Bid.
Even thought show's are due tonight (Mine will be posted later on) it will be perfectly acceptable if you want to hand in tomorrow due to the bank holiday weekend.

Bit pathetic to worry about stuff like that...I'm currently tied with you and I'm planning to put everything in to my last three shows because this is fun, I'd suggest not signing up if that's your attitude because you end up leaving people without opponents which is a big shame.

Bit pathetic to worry about stuff like that...I'm currently tied with you and I'm planning to put everything in to my last three shows because this is fun, I'd suggest not signing up if that's your attitude because you end up leaving people without opponents which is a big shame.
Look, I have tried my best every single time I have done this and every single time I have ended up being dead last. When the game stops being fun for you, you stop playing. I thought for once I would end up with more points than normal but with the way my show was going I wouldn't have won anything so I decided to cut my losses. Simply put, this season wasn't fun any more especially with the drop outs.

I'm not sure about the rest of you but winning doesn't really matter, it's not as if we get anything for winning a weekly show, a PPV or even the league. It's just about having fun, being creative and getting the opportunity to create something that other's can enjoy/share with you.
As far as I've seen, there really isn't anything like this where you can creatively pick your wits against other by creating a promotion, storyline and such.
I think what point Viper was trying to make is that because you dropped out on the day shows were due in, you have left your opponent without anything to play for in no doubt something they have probably worked hard all week on in the spirit of competition. Your completely right about people dropping out but the solution isn't dropping out because you don't win and it's probably reasons like this why people decide to drop out or not return to the league.
Both Fernando & Myself are very accommodating and if you let us know that you are going to miss a deadline, we try our best to bend over backwards and extend or move deadlines. We actually discussed strict rules to implement this season but only actually enforced them once with Nick who will never be allowed to return to WWA as long as Fernando & I run the show. Sometimes I think people have to consider the headache that comes with the up's and down's of running a league like this but when we see people drop out because they say throw their toys out of the pram or say they have other stuff going on but remain quite active on the forum then it's completely disheartening and makes us question why we bother running the league or if we should ever return running another season. I was seriously thinking about quitting after this season but the select few who do enjoy inspire us to continue. Well that's my thoughts/rant over.

Re: WWA Season 8 Homepage
I am currently tied for last and although at points I was disappointed not to get more points and to have feedback that basically just said "who is Johnny Gargano" or "I don't like his roster" I do this for the feedback that really looks in to what I write.
Roster wise I know my roster isn't what everyone would like BUT I do think I've done well storyline wise, with everyone pretty much having a slot on the roster.

I'm gonna be honest. I totally forgot today was show day and I had nothing ready at all. I also was considering dropping out last week and have been pretty demoralised since the ppv about my shows. The idea I had didn't pan out and tbh I couldn't really fix it so I tried to soldier on through with it. I always try to improve on my previous season and I haven't this time. I see the tables as 'how well am I doing creatively' so there is a personal aspect in it for me as I want to try and improve.

I figured you forgot about the show due to your response. I'd be willing to give you until the end of tomorrow to get something up if you wanted to continue or not.
If you're struggling creative, then maybe go back to the drawing board and maybe watch old shows from different era's to give you motivation on where to go. You could also do something that's never been done before and do a complete re-boot! I mean creatively it would be a challenge but could set you up nicely if you wanted to continue next season.

I am out most of tomorrow but I will TRY and get a rough highlight show up, just matches, results and basic storyline progression. Also for creativity...a complete reboot has been done before, hell an all dancing fed has been done before. I do have an idea for next season but it will be laughed out of the park most likely.

It's always nice to do something different but sometimes sticking to the basics and improving that is the way to go really.
Most of your roster writes it self storyline wise could go in various directions for unique feuds

nXtreme to be up shortly, show is written except for the matches (yes its a promo heavy show again...)
Id agree this isn't about winning but rather about having some fun, look at my show this season its fairly ridiculous. I've got a limited roster and part of my show focusses on the continuing adventures of Spud and A-Ry. One a man who wears a bowtie, the other who previously found fame being "El-Ry" the greatest luchador of all time, dressing up as the statue of liberty and following JBL around like a puppy. Add in Clem Layfield and you get my drift. This season has been all about fun for me and the fact that people read and critique it makes it better. After 7 seasons it constantly amazes me what people come up with and the fact that we are still getting new and creative ideas including your stable with Foley and the competition aspect with the various teams that you had shows this. As Viper has said his roster is not to everyones liking but again its different and fun.
Enigma/Nando thanks again for running this, from running leagues in the past (cricket and football) I know how time consuming it is
