I had a lambretta as well 175li until I wrapped it and me around a lamppost, to this day I still beliebve it wasn't my fault - ho hum.

Sorry NST, but Lambrettas where I come from, were the only one to have. The Vespas were considered to be a bit girlie then. Now of course, Vespas are de rigeur.

Thursday's Child/ David Bowie

Er........I've already done that some time ago Doon. See above

They have it 60th in England but some of their rankings are pretty suspect. I've played loads of courses that they rate but I think they are very average. They have Saunton West 55th in England and that is an absolute cracker of a course, should be at least 20 places higher furious

Forgive me missed your earlier Thursdays Child/Bowie.....I shall sleep easier tonight now.

Mind you I shall sleep anyway as we had the grandkids for an overnighter and the two year old was giving a splendid version of twinkle twinkle little star at 3.30am. furious

D4S... I think they use player reviews to get the rating... Always subject to the man who is hitting it and his own playing ability.... but I think that might give a better rating as it uses a cross section of players. Although it might be better to give a low, mid and high handicap ranking of courses perhaps.

As for this Thursdays music thing. There is a band called Thursday. So all of their music qualifies. Much bigger list than your single tracks! Yahoo

Good point. Broadstone can be pretty brutal for the higher handicappers especially if they are not on their game. It's easy not to rate a course very highly if it's just beaten you up.

Yesterday's average score in the Capt's stableford was apparently 25 points and that was all members that know the course Erm

In that case I shall pack some condoms as it sounds like the course might dish me out a bit of prison sex.

Drive: I'm perfectly at home in the trees mate. I lived in FoD for over 5 years. Anyone who has survived that experience isn't going to bulk at anything your fine course has to offer. TBH I'm more worried about Meyrick - that course is tighter than a youknowwhat 8)

Isn't it a bit of a long trek for you to Broadstone? You said on the old 606 that you live in Ireland.

american is not a race. Race refers to your background as white, black, whatever. American is however a nationality.

It's still racist to say that you would rather be sick than be from a specific country

No. It's called xenophobia. It's very different from racism.

Being a lying fool is something else entirely however.

Doon Thats great, see you Monday. Haven't a clue how I'll recognise you but mine will be the slightly beat up looking black Honda civic Type-R in the car park.

My daughter may be joining us, but don't panic she plays off 2. You may have seen her name on your Club honours board a few times.

Just meet at receptiion
