This passed a few hours yesterday on the football board so thought I'd bring it over here as well.
What happened during the fight dubbed 'The Sound and the Fury?'

Who is the only triple world champion not to lose a fight in which he was the defending champion? Fairly sure he won them all too.

Would Americans consider Taft to be more important than Wyatt Earp? He turned it down too

Arguello isn't it, Hammersmith? Althought I think Fenech qualifies too, come to think of it.

Right on both counts, must be some lineal mumbo jumbo that differentiates them.

Taft was a one term President...Didn't get re-elected because Roosevelt split the ticket when they fell out.

Outside of the Heavyweights, who is the only man to have boxed 25 or more world title fights exclusively in just one division?

Ricardo Lopez?
Pedroza?
Or if it is an old fighter then Armstrong?

Lopez and galaxy were my first thoughts.., But Think Lopez' last title fights were a weight up. galaxy, was a one weight fighter but he only got to about 20.
Think we need a clue. From your phrasing, did this guy lose a few Chris?

Re: Boxing quiz
Ok my turn.
In recent times the boxing world lost Edwin Valero at a point where he was becoming a P4P playa'.
But who in less recent times had his career ended early with an undefeated record - not by death or injury. Who was it and what was the issue that stopped him fighting?

Re: Boxing quiz
Amended the question Truss, should've read "in less recent times" (and we're talking pre 1970 but post 1930s before you all start with people who went to war etc)

Andrew Flintoff, is the reason he was rubbish and decided to play cricket again instead.

Bingo, bumhole! Thought it'd take a bit longer if you and old git Rowley stayed off (is he having another hip replacement? Not seen him in a while).

Fear not, I am working on a Joe Choynski thread, which I am pretty sure will represent my greatest ever score on the amount of work/complete lack of responses ratio.
