Came quite late to the game - does anyone still have subs left to come on? Fatigue has got to be a factor here.

If we were to go to a shootout, Toulon should have an advantage with 3 kickers on the field.

Shame Martyn Williams isn't a pundit tonight - they could have asked him what he thinks of them.quinsforever wrote:how does a shootout work?

What a kick from Madigan.
That idiot with the bad haircut is lucky to still be on the field.

Toulon are giving away some of the stupidest penalties you'll see any team give away at this level.

Nigel Owens as assistant referee!
He'll keep Barnes honest.
This is a real test of how the law should be interpreted. Both players jumped, so...

As a Leinster fans that's a joke yellow card.In fairness there's precedent but interpretation of the law is ruining the game imo. That's a penalty at most but can't blame Barnes,Garces started all this rubbish and we're still seeing the effects a year later.

Don't think Nigel quite agreed with Barnes there, but he couldn't really disagree

i dont think that was a yellow. if it was, then macfadden's first challenge on habana in the first half was at least a yellow given habana landed on his head.

I'm seeing a lot of Irish fans on twitter who agree (well, with the first part at least).

Absolute joke of a yellow card. His lifters dropped him, it was barely even a penalty!

When a team make the same mistake over and over,a mistake the same players didn't make under the previous coach then imo the coach is the one who takes the overall blame.Of course that one intercept was Madigans fault but our toothless attacking dislpay of this match and this season is a wider issue. It's very easy to focus on that intercept but that's ignoring everything that has gone before it,not just this match but this season.

For a pretty nervy game, this end has all the drama!
Why didn't Leinster try playing like this earlier?

Kind of happy he missed the conversion,at least we have to play now instead of looking for 3 points.

Yeah Ireland the team that concede the least penalties of all international sides are also the most cynical.

He penalised Madigan for the same thing in the first half. Weird calls but consistent at least

armitage is world class. 5 ft 7 and 18 stone of turnover excellence.Rory_Gallagher wrote:Quins logic - criticises Leinster/Ireland for their breakdown cynicism.

nothing cynical about what armitage does. and nothing different game in game out either. he turns the ball over. ireland/leinster try all kinds of new "variations" on the breakdown to gain advantage. no inconsistency in my logic there.
i am obviously the only fan of Armitage... european POTY last year. top in turnovers in top14 and EPCR ytd.
would love to see him on the bench for england.
