- How they work:
Bids are made on this TP page. The highest bidder at the close of the window gets the player. With the following caveats:- The main window in open for weeks 1-2 and weeks 6-7. This means the window is open between 9am Tuesday 19th May to 9am on Monday 1st June; and 9am Monday 29th June to 9am Monday 13th July.
- Within each window, each week day represents a mini window, which runs 9am to 9am the following weekday. Weekends are excluded from this (i.e. Fridays window starts at 9am Friday and ends 9am on Monday)
- You can sign a maximum of 3 players per TP week.
- At the close of each days mini window (9am), there is then a 2 hour extension for continued bidding on the players that have been bid on in that window. After each new bid, that 2 hours begins again. The extension will continue until no new bid has been placed for 2 hours.
- If any bidding extension gets to 5pm, the clock stops and then restarts at 9am the following weekday.
- The minimum bid is the players value on TM
- A new bid must be at least 5% higher than the existing highest bid, with a minimum increase of £100k
- You can only bid up to the value of your available transfer budget (money in the bank) at the time of your bid.
- A bid is binding. If you win, you must take that player.
- If you are the current highest bidder on a player, the value of your bid is deducted from your available budget towards other players, until you are outbid.
- Your bid must be clear, showing the players name, club and amount bid.
- The main window in open for weeks 1-2 and weeks 6-7. This means the window is open between 9am Tuesday 19th May to 9am on Monday 1st June; and 9am Monday 29th June to 9am Monday 13th July.

Yeah if it was 2008, now I wouldn't go anywhere near him.
Re: TP Bids
Can i use lawyers to fund transfers?
So i will accept a lawyer to fund the transfer on here should it be successful? Or do i need to accept the lawyer first?

Re: TP Bids
Good question.
I would say that if you have a lawyers offer, then that is sufficient.
Pretty much if you place a bid that is beyond your budget, I will challenge it, and then you can justify it with the lawyers offer.
Or you can just add a line that says it is funded by the lawyer on the bid to save me asking

Re: TP Bids
I will also add that should you make a bid that requires a lawyer acceptance for you to be able to afford it, you are automatically obliged to accept that lawyer and cannot try and sell someone else to fund it instead.
I will update the page now

Re: TP Bids
If you want to make a bid for a player you should have the funds in your account, it's no good saying you've got a lawyes offer.
Sell the player via lawyers and then make a bid.
Sell the player via lawyers and then make a bid.
Re: TP Bids
It makes it more real life like, there's a risk you sell the player in lawyers and you don't get the replacement. It happens all the time in real life.
It's too easy and safe allowing someone to make an offer with money they don't actually have.

Re: TP Bids
I agree with Viva, based on there being plenty of other options. But also means you need to sell to raise money to spend, more of a challenge.

I would say it is more like real life to allow the lawyers offers to be considered as part of the budget.
Most teams line up a replacement before they agree to sell someone and keep hold of players if they can't get a replacement. You always hear that it needs one deal to go through to kick start the domino effect

Re: TP Bids
I am happy to revert to needing to have the money in the bank if that is the strongest feeling
Any other thoughts because at the moment it is "need to have the money in the bank"

Re: TP Bids
It's not over yet Viva, I'm still expecting more bids. I wouldn't say Carrick is past it at all, sadly I'd say that Carrick proved his importances and presences within a team that finished in the Top 4 who struggled without him.

Re: TP Bids
Only an idiot with 1 brain cell would say Carrick is past it or rubbish. Carrick is a wonderful player and I couldn't give a rats bottom what other fans think of him because us United fans and our managers know what his worth to United is.

I'll probably part with Verratii and Zlatan Hero.

Re: TP Bids
Right, I'm going to say that you must have the money in the bank to make an offer, and therefore if you are relying on a lawyer to fund, you need to accept that lawyer before you bid
