The Top 10 Queen Songs
I just saw this article on Classic Rock about their favourite top 10 queen songs:
DANCER (Hot Space, 1982)
THE KISS (AURA RESURRECTS FLASH) (Flash Gordon, 1980)
GOOD OLD-FASHIONED LOVER BOY (A Day At The Races, 1976)
MUSTAPHA (Jazz, 1978)
39 (A Night At The Opera, 1975)
IN THE LAP OF THE GODS (Sheer Heart Attack, 1974)
IT'S LATE (News Of The World, 1977)
DRAGON ATTACK (The Game, 1980)
IT'S A HARD LIFE (The Works, 1984)
YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY (A Day At The Races, 1976)
Havent heard some of these so cant judge the list but I thought I would offer up my own top 10:
10 - Innuendo
9 - In the Lap of the Gods
8 - Let me Live
7 - Is this the world we created
6 - Love of my life
5 - Death on two legs
4 - Las Palabras de Amor
3 - Who wants to live forever
2 - Under Pressure
1 - Save Me
So what do you all think?

I love you superfly. You're my favourite, and it is not even a close contest anymore.

Is it not cool to have Bohemian Rhapsody in a Queen top 10?

I think it suffers from being played too much. Same goes for the majority of the Greatest Hits album.
I personally would prefer to listen to any of my top 10 than Bo-rap
Re: The Top 10 Queen Songs
Queen suck, the Rolling Stones suck, Led Zeppelin suck, Deep Purple suck...SABBATH rule but only the first four albums with OZZY, everything else sucks.
How the f*ck did Queen manage to find a singer even camper than Freddie Mercury?
Brian May should be killed for still flogging the Queen name when it stopped being relevant years ago...in the spirit of fairness I also felt the same about Tony Iommi when he was still hawking the SABBATH name in the late 70's/80's and again when they did the reunion thing in the 90's.
OZZY's also a bit of a wh*re who realizes that people aren't really interested in the majority of his solo stuff and only want to sing along to the SABBATH classics, "War Pigs", "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" and will sit through an hour of turgid nonsense to do so. Same with LEMMY and "Ace of Spades" although in fairness, Lemmy hates that song but isn't dumb enough to cut the most famous/popular song his band have written for the sake or artistic integrity. IRON MAIDEN are also guilty of this...
Anyway, Queen suck......

"These are the days of our lives" is probably my favorite Queen song............Beautiful and moving...........
Made Shortly before Mercury's death... Think it was released the same year and you can see he isn't well........
Tragic waste of talent...Thought he had a great voice...Very distinctive.
Not one of my favorite bands though.

In a documentary on the BBC a year or two ago they mentioned that the video for that song was one of the last things he ever did. He'd come in and prop himself up to record and he'd need long rests between video takes and his face had a lot of makeup.

Woah Dave what are you saying, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is every bit the equal of the first four although I do agree with Iommi flogging the Sabbath name through various line up changes, I couldn't stand Dio let along Gillian or Martin.
Led Zep and Deep Purple are two of the greatest hard rock bands to have existed, influential beyond description, no Led Zep and you have no Slayer nor do Sabbath ever make anything of themselves.

Sounds like Barbara Cartland's writing process for her last sixty novels.

Re: The Top 10 Queen Songs
You may believe that as do many others....personally, I think they suck. No disputing their influence on hard rock and heavy metal but I find them very boring...so f*cking shoot me.Hammersmith harrier wrote:DAVE667 wrote:Queen suck, the Rolling Stones suck, Led Zeppelin suck, Deep Purple suck...SABBATH rule but only the first four albums with OZZY, everything else sucks.

Which are the ten shortest Queen songs? Whichever they are they are my top ten, in descending order, with the shortest first.

I like the gaps between their songs the best.

Queen played Sun City during Apartheid, just in case anyone was on the fence about whether to hate them or not.

On 20 April 1992, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert was held at London's Wembley Stadium to a 72,000-strong crowd.[154] Performers, including DEF LEPPARD, Robert Plant, GUNS N ROSES, Elton John, David Bowie, George Michael, Annie Lennox, Seal, Extreme, and METALLICA performed various Queen songs along with the three remaining Queen members (and Spike Edney.) The concert is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as "The largest rock star benefit concert",[155] as it was televised to over 1.2 billion viewers worldwide,[101] and raised over £20,000,000 for AIDS charities.[150]
