Backward Reverse Linear Theory
Similar to reverse linear theory, but working backwards.
'The man' at heavyweight is currently Wlad Klitschko.
What happens is that we go back to find the last man to beat him, who then becomes the backward reverse linear heavyweight champion.
Hopefully we will avoid unbeaten greats like Marciano, Calzaghe and Fury, so this carries on back through the years until we reach the first heavyweight backward reverse linear champion, which were it to be JLS would be quite amazing.
Let's go...
Present Day Wladimir Klitschko
10/04/2004 Lamon Brewster
21/10/2000 Charles Shufford
18/02/2000 Robert Davis
Its not going to work as Davis was unbeaten at the time of the Shufford bout. I've decided that if you can't go back, you can go forward. Makes a mockery of the name but hey-ho.
Carry on...
07/10/2000 Lance Whitaker
06/03/1999 Lou Savarese
01/11/1997 David Izon
21/12/1996 David Tua
07/06/1997 Ike Ibeabuchi
Great. Ibeabuchi was 20-0 when the demons got him, so as he was a naughty man and he messes up the line we will expunge him from history.
21/12/1996 David Tua
11/11/2000 Lennox Lewis
24/09/1994 Oliver Mcall
26/06/1992 Tony Tucker
01/08/1987 Mike Tyson
There's a lot more "names" on this list than the usual reverse linear threads. Maybe I'm onto something.
11/02/1990 James Douglas
30/05/1987 Tony Tucker
01/08/1987 Mike Tyson
There's a lot more "names" on this list than the usual reverse linear threads. Maybe I'm onto something.
11/02/1990 James Douglas
30/05/1987 Tony Tucker
01/08/1987 Mike Tyson
We're caught in a trap, there's no way out. Perhaps there is a way out. As Tyson was robbed / weight drained / drugged / whatever against Douglas in Tokyo, we'll gloss over that loss.
Onwards unto the breach...
09/11/1996 Evander Holyfield
04/11/1995 Riddick Bowe
06/11/1993 Evander Holyfield
13/11/1992 Riddick Bowe
06/11/1993 Evander Holyfield
13/11/1992 Riddick Bowe
Stuck again. Bowe's a chicken so we'll expunge him too.
09/11/1996 Evander Holyfield
22/04/1994 Michael Moorer
05/11/1994 George Foreman
07/06/1993 Tommy Morrison
18/10/1991 Ray Mercer
07/02/1992 Larry Holmes
22/01/1988 Mike Tyson
There's a lot more "names" on this list than the usual reverse linear threads. Maybe I'm onto something.
Tyson again. He's making a mess of this is Iron Mike. We've already had Douglas, Holyfield and Lennox so we can't have them again. Next one to beat Tyson...
30/07/2004 Danny Williams
24/01/2004 Michael Sprott
26/09/2003 Danny Williams
08/02/2003 Sinan Samil Sam
Eh?
26/04/2003 Juan Carlos Gomez
13/08/2004 Yanqui Diaz
27/03/2004 Tony Thompson
07/07/2000 Eric Kirkland
14/12/2001 Robert Wiggins
04/06/2002 Derek Bryant
31/03/2003 Eric Kirkland (Yes, him again!)
Stuck in a loop, so let's go forward instead of back...
03/10/2003 Monte Barrett
15/07/2000 Wladimir Klitschko
05/12/1998 Ross Puritty
14/07/1998 Chris Byrd
20/03/1999 Ike Ibeabuchi (Who? Nah, he don't count, he's crackers...)
14/10/2000 Wlad Klitschko
Another loop, so forwards we go...
08/03/2003 Corrie Sanders
20/05/2000 Hasim Rahman
06/11/1999 Oleg Maskaev
05/04/1997 David Tua
07/06/1997 Ike Ibeabuchi (Who? Nah, he don't count, he's crackers...)
11/11/2000 Lennox Lewis
We've been here before, we'll ignore Lennox...
18/08/2001 Chris Byrd
14/10/2000 Wlad Klitschko
Been here before as well. All roads lead to Wlad it would appear, we've followed the paths of Puritty, Sanders and Brewster and all lead us back to WK.
If David Haye beats Wlad it will give new life to the Backward / Forward Reverse Linear Heavyweight Title, so until then we have to deduce that Wlad is the greatest of all time.
Curiosity got the better of me, let's assume its July already and Haye has beaten Wlad.
02/07/2011 David Haye
10/09/2004 Carl Thompson
26/11/2001 Ezra Sellers
17/05/2001 Ramon Garbey
25/06/2000 Fres Oquendo
13/04/2002 David Tua
18/08/2001 Chris Byrd
14/10/2000 Wladimir Klitschko

Keep em coming Union, working on the theory if I see enough of em they will start to make sense, suffice to say we're not quite there yet.

As probably your biggest supporter, I have to say this is quite poor.

Worst thing you have ever wrote Union.
I as xpecting you to pick me up after a rough weekend, but no, you've made things worse.
Poor thread.

Stick with it and keep the faith union. Most geniuses and radical developments in thinking were met with ridicule in their own lifetime. Don't let the bunch of flat earthers on here get you down.

Union mate I'm trying really hard here but I don't understand how you can go from Fres Oquendo in 2000 to David Tua in 2002.

The dates reverse in order and then they go forward in date on one occasion.

Hence the confusion, I should imagine.

Quite right! They laughed at Audley once, and now look at him.I for one applaud such persistency in the face of ridicule.Union Cane, you will be mentioned in a century from now in the "100 best Britons" show.If they do another one.
