Backward / Forward Reverse Linear P4P Championship Theory - Complete Version

Following the confusion of the earlier article, I thought I'd clear things up by producing the Backward / Forward Reverse Linear P4P Championship Theory List.

Starting off with today's P4P number 1, Manny Pacquiao, we work backwards to his last defeat, the victor thence becoming the new title holder. Following the line back through time, and in some cases forward (eg when the new holder is at that point undefeated), we see the history of the P4P number one fighter through the years.

Interestingly, the title spends time in the far east, the UK, the South African (Non White) Title era, South America and passes through the hands of some famous names.

The line ends there, with Paddy Sullivan from Lowell, Massachusetts. His career lasted only 4 fights, one win, one loss and two draws, all against Boston fighter Paddy Duffy.

I wonder if Sullivan realised that his career would be inextricably linked through backward / forward reverse linear pound for pound championship lineage to those of greats such as Bob Fitzsimmons, Young Griffo, Freddie Welsh, Jack Britton, Joe Louis, Primo Carnera, all the way through to modern greats like El Terrible and Manny Pacquiao.

Just think, if the respective Backward / Forward Reverse Linear P4P champs of 1988 and 2006 had fought each other, we could have had Bum fighting against Arce.
