My top 5 famous punches
Before you start the SPINNING BACK FIST is not on my list.....................yet.
5) The bolo - Used by many great fighters over the years from Kid Gavalan, Sugar Ray Robinson to SRL. A deciving punch that started as an uppercut and ended as a hook.
4) The Cork screw uppercut - One name comes to mind with this particular punch and thats Nazeem Hamed who would deliver it with brutal force. Special mention goes to Nigal Benn who turned it into a sickening body punch very effective
3) The punch
2) The Check hook - Hatton would know all about this one as he was on the end of one delivered by the p4p great Floyd Mayweather. A quick short hook on the inside and if delivered correctly, the punch you never see coming.
1) The Black out - Owned by ATG Henry Armstrong. A very effective punch which meant lights out for many of Homicide Hanks victims. Short and sneaky but powerful enough to stretch a man. Nat Fliescher said it was a horrible thing to do to a human being.
If you have more please add.

3) The single Knuckle uppercut - A deviation from the standerd orthodox uppercut which is delivered on the knuckles with the palm facing the boxer employing it. This punch saw the fist turned 90 degrees as if holding a cup and delivered using just the first knuckle on the clenched fist. A sick punch designed to jolt the head of the opponant upwards and easier to deliver then your standered uppercut. Used to perfection by Carman Basillio.

I read somewhere that Kell Brook was a sucker for the single knuckle uppercut.......
Must admit ONETWO that I was pretty good at the Black out............Especially in my last fight.......
Pretty handy with the corkscrew uppercut too..........Especially If it's a good red !!....

Re: My top 5 famous punches
The 'check' hook is a very misunderstood punch.
A check hook is something lomachenko is open to.
What mayweather threw against Hatton was a cheque hook, keeping him in bling for a few months.
Hope that's cleared it up for everyone.

Think the most famous corkscrew punch wasn't an uppercut.............But the shot Liston bottled Ali by taking and crumbling against..

How cripplingly unimaginative ONEGUMP, using lowest common denominator insult that bears no relation to anything I've ever posted re being gay whereas what I've done is taken the fact that you're stupid, referenced a famous film quote and cleverly given you a new name that's perfect for someone as stupid as you are.ONETWOFOREVER wrote:DAVE667 wrote:No need to get angry just because someone ELSE thinks you're a ****ONETWOFOREVER wrote:trottb wrote:ONETWOFOREVER wrote:This thread was a mistake.

Where does it say the recipient isn't allowed to divulge the contents therein? If it's only some kind of "gentlemen's agreement" then perhaps the sender should behave like one if he expects to be treated like one.88Chris05 wrote:Private messages are thus called for a reason, lads.
I receive countless PM's (OK, I've have seven) and everyone except ONEGUMPDUNCE has been polite and civil towards me. OK, some of the messages have been highly sexual in nature but I didn't mind.
By the way Chris, it's whipped cream with chocolates sprinkles....if you really want to know.

Bring it on fatman I've got nothing to hide. I give you permission, as I always have.
Don't think about copy/paste editing them either to make yourself look good or I'll just screenshot it as it is in my inbox.
May I suggest you back off before you start looking silly?

No, the difference is Truss - they have all had a laugh about it with me in some way and haven't made up lies to make me look dafter to others than I made myself. You on the other hand play the role of the hero - making out like I complain to the mods all the time when it just isn't the case. At first I admit, I did speak to them about you but that was at the very start, since I've endured YEARS of your bullcrap. I posted because you made a pathetic sweeping statement that Britain hates their own. Just not true, you then decided to jump on that.

You're like a child "well...he started it daddy!" when it's actually in your face and roaring back you turn into a coward and start with this "oh well just leave it, not worth it, you're a clown" etc.
Sorry to all reading this who couldn't care less, but it's been pent up for a long time.

Because regardless of foeing you, you still talk about me and other people quote it or reference it. Always been the type to defend myself and not run to mummy like you do.
Also, if you're trying to make out I'm some shut-in - again you're trying to take me out of context. You say things without thinking. I'm not the one with over 30 thousand posts mate. I'm not the one who relentlessly stalks people trying to make them look silly and then messages them to apologise. I'm not the one who was so offended and so affected by one post 3 years ago that they still reference it to this day!
If anyone needs to get out more mate.....
