Who will win it then?
Montreal Masters
First topic message reminder :
Started yesterday. Who's going to win it then?
Federer not playing. I voted for Djokovic.
Order of play here. Kyrgios v Verdasco looks interesting.

No bagel I do believe that's a moral victory for Murray regardless of what happens from now on!

Is this umpire insane? Worst code violation warning ever!

Re: Montreal Masters
Was a strange and harsh one I thought (for bumping into the camera, apparently deliberately).
EDIT: BY "apparently deliberately" I mean it apparently appeared deliberate to the umpire, not that it actually was.

He put his hand up after brushing it by accident. These umpires always seem to want to take centre stage...

Good hold. A very good stretch volley caught my eye I think on the first BP - on the forehand side.

Re: Montreal Masters
Congratulations Andy on winning your 11th Masters title taking him level with Pete Sampras on the all-time list. It also breaks that long run of defeats he has had against the world No.1 Novak Djokovic. Hopefully, Andy can use this as a stepping stone for the coming months.
Also means this is the 48th time this year he has won the first set and never failed to not go on to win.

Roanic would of beaten both of them.

Re: Montreal Masters
Breathtaking match. Possibly the best three set match of the year. Murray finally looks to have his fitness levels at the right level to compete. More or less guarantees a top 2 seeding for the US Open.

Re: Montreal Masters
Enjoyable final set, some good shots (some bad) some tension and entertaining and occassionally unorthodox play.
So is Murray going to be no 2 on Monday/Tuesday when the rankings are updated, or not? He certainly should be with 2 masters vs none for Federer. It is just a matter of time anyway.

Re: Montreal Masters
Huge for Andy mentally. He needed a big win to say he's truly back, well he has it now. He has matched Novak before this season, and then faded either mentally or physically (or both). Or rather, Novak has outlasted him. Now he's outlasted Novak.
Very enjoyable match too. I hope Andy now realises the net is his friend. Please volley more Andy.

Re: Montreal Masters
At no time did Andy play like a player who had lost eight times. For me there are important factors about that losing streak, not least that Murray simply wasn't physically up to it (and so mental weaknesses are more prominent) for seven of them - including this years Aus final
It wasn't until the French that we finally got the 2012/3 Murray back
Of course, tonight defeat could be because Novak's ailing
Important win though, I said before Wimbledon that he has no excuses left for not beating his two main rivals
I'm delighted for him. Not enough credit has been given for how he's not only clawed himself back from the terrors of last year, but become better

I am hoping this is a stepping stone up to Novak's level and brings him bigger wins in even bigger matches.
