So the bluenoses visit villa park tonight.
Have to get the win. Cant have those boys beating us.
Hope there is no nonsense by either set of fans.

Tough game for us at Reading tonight. We are playing well so far this season but boy do we like to go out in the cup against lower league sides.

city putting out a very strong side. dont really understand that. bony really needs a run out (and a goal) and we know what aguero injury record is like. i can understand de bruyne needing games while he's settling in but toure, sterling etc nearly played every game this season. they've got champions league next week after spurs away

city game very strange, sunderland all over them and 2-0 down. stupid challenge for a pen and a break away goal. sunderland harshly had one ruled off and haven't taken their other chances

I always said the appointment of Advocat was stupid, keeping him on after luckily escaping last season was a laughable decision.

Don't see the problem. They were shocking in the first half. This game means a lot to there fans, there demanding a response for the 2nd half.

Stuck with 120 minutes and gonna lose anyway. Deservedly so, I may add, but id rather have just lost in 90 and not wasted energy.

Mug ref mind you, but we seemed disinterested and shuffled the squad around in the game to lose impetus.

Looks pretty poor to me.
Poor first half last night.
Don't really agree with booing, but at the same time team needs to do better.
Much better second half. Ayew looked good. Young Jack was very good to.

pretty average, he would of been snapped up already, if that wasn't the case. fact he couldn't even produce against a pretty poor villa side, says everything.

Re: Capital One Cup Semi Final Draw
Agree 100%, still not getting mistaken for Barcelona any time soon but infinitely better second half. On that performance how Gabby has been keeping Ayew out of the side is a complete mystery. Grealish looked quality, just seems to make things happen and provide attacking impetus. Gestede looks a bit clumsy at times, but genuinely think if you get crosses into the box he will get his share of goalswestisbest wrote:Olly wrote:Demerai Gray is a heck of a talent

Demari Gray is decent for his age. But he has a LOT to work on if he wants to become a premiership player.

Gestede will score with the right service. Its down to Sherwood to choose if he wants his widemen to play a game with more hugging the touchline and providing balls into the box or not. Currently thats not the side he seems to be setting out.

very strong team from us tonight, mostly makes sense.
rooney needs to be playing as much as possible or else his fat arse gets out of shape even more. herrera, felliani, young and valencia needed a game and its good to see perreria given a start

How long until managers start resting themselves for games? Giggs could take this one, good experience for him.

Danny Ings scores to put Liverpool ahead. Scores a header from a cross that Benteke would have loved to have got when he was playing!

Re: Capital One Cup Semi Final Draw
Can is pushing really high meaning Liverpool are practically playing 2-7-1, lots of pressure on Carlisle's defence when they have the ball but there is a chance Carlisle with a good ball could get in.
Glad Rodgers started a strong team, got to take the Capital One Cup seriously this season.

Liverpool 1-1 Carlisle
Pathetic. Need to put this game to bed in second half, no point having all the attacking play when you concede that easily.

Always liked Jarvis. Good little player.
Great effort by Kane, but it took some great defending by Gibbs to keep him out. Hope Gibbs is next in line to replace Luke Shaw

I don't & anyway he'll probably go home tonight, sit on his couch & get injured for three months. This is the same guy, who basically is behind Monreal in the pecking order.
