Ray's big win at the US PGA means he holds onto top spot. Wins have also come for Hibbz and AlciG.

I'm not sure how many tournaments are included in this seasons but unless there are 1 or 2 more weighted 3 tournaments I can't see how anyone below around 16th can chase down top spot or even top 5 :/ shows how important the majors are!
Re: Fantasy League Table - Summer/Autumn Standings - 2015 - Final
I had an injury after playing football with some mates which affected my fantasy performance.
So can we have a points reset before the playoffs (or Tour Champo) 1GG?
PS. It's not fun going from top drawer to mid table oblivity...

Kwini's win moves him up into second place in the table behind Ray and more Fantasy Leaguers have cracked the four digit points barrier.

LadyPutt's win moves her into the top 10 as Ray's lead is further eroded.

AlciG's second win, via a playoff, sees him top the leaderboard knocking Ray down in the standings.

RULES
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:
Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me. Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

MPB, you're more than welcome to jump in on the next event. I'll be posting the Dunhill Links as the next event tomorrow. Strategy will be required due to the three different courses involved and the points scoring opportunities will be tweaked a little bit due to that fact.

Ha, just look at this as a warm up for next season.
Having said I would tweak the scoring I think it's too much hassle and seeing as I am fundamentally lazy I've decided it won't happen.

SirBenson picks up his second win of the session and it's all change at the top as the top four from last week reverse. With two events left to play who will take top spot and the glory?

Looks like it is all about the wins as TheCleaver jumps into first place after picking up the win in the penultimate event.
The Race to Dubai finale will be the last event of the session and, to steal from the USPGA, Glory's last shot.

Agreed Kwini. great fun, but lots of effort by Grumps. Thanks 1GG. Still in with a chance to nick it, but I think I will need a clean sweep every round.

Agree with the above. Thanks for running 1GG much appreciated.
Would hope I can hold off and win this session after being so close in the summer session. Will there be a table with all 3 sessions put together to create a grand champion for the season?

I see I am the second worst regular performer. And the lowest to have won an event.

Yes, there will be. We'll crown the Fantasy Champion Golfer of the Year after the final event.
I can post the current standings for that later today if folks are interested or, if they would like it to be a surprise can post at the very end of the season.

You won an event in the last session but not an overall session.

Grumpy,
Are you reducing the field size for the RtD finale to remove the weaker performers like beninho? Maybe just the elite get to pick?

I vote post it now. It will give added spice to watching the last event if we know who are people in with a shout of the overall win.

But surely my W guarantees my playing privileges over the rank and file non winners above me. Get the win and coast for a bit.

LadyPutt becomes the third player to post multiple wins in a session.
Ray's strong performance sees him leapfrog TheCleaver to win the session. Congratulations to Ray and commiserations to TheCleaver.
The Order of Merit, crowning the Fantasy Player of the Year, will be posted shortly.

When do we get to find out the full season OOM placings? I'm on tenterhooks!
Really glad to see all my hard work and dedication pay off. At the start of the session I wrote down my fantasy league objectives on the back of my boarding pass. This included winning a major and so I reduced my playing schedule to peak for the majors, and this paid dividends.

You made fewer cuts than most, yet still prevailed. Either you are lucky or the rules need to be tweaked...raycastleunited wrote:When do we get to find out the full season OOM placings? I'm on tenterhooks!

Ray killed it in the opening event which was the USPGA and pretty much rode that horse all the way through to victory.
Might reduce the picks in majors to 6 so the extra weighting doesn't skew the overall points so much.

Grumps - you know we all appreciate the work you put in on this and thanks for another great season. If you are considering minor tweaks, how about the day 2 scoring for non-cut events? Doesn't seem to be many points available when there are no cut bonuses to be won

Setup had a similar suggestion earlier but having just played one no cut event I didn't want to change the scoring mid session.
Make it:
Day 1: Top 3 or 5
Day 2: Top 5
Day 3: Top 10
Day 4: As is
Thoughts?

It works very well as it is. I suggest you do what makes sense for you and we will all continue to enjoy the fantasy league and appreciate the effort you put in.

I agree - it's your comp Grumps and I certainly agree it shouldn't have been changed mid-season. It was just a thought for a tweak to the new season

Re: Fantasy League Table - Summer/Autumn Standings - 2015 - Final
It's not perfect and there's always ideas/solutions that come up as events happen. I'm thinking there should be some tweaks to make it fairer and that sounds like one of them. This year I reduced the points for worst round and last place because of rubbish players in no cut events and that last place was equal to someone finishing between 11th and 15th; not quite fair to someone who had their pick make a last day charge and finish 16th.
Thoughts for next year:
Possibly limiting reduced field, no cut events and eliminating the likes of the Tournament of Champions?
Reducing picks in majors to 6
Adding Round 2 Top 5 scores for no cut events
Any other ideas you might have?
