Ref said " apart from anything else I am ruling it out in the spirit of the game" so he didn't have to spend time looking at replays, deciding if it was a throw in, judging which of the laws might have been broken etc etc. Rule it out, get the game moving on. I thought Barnes reffed the game well.

Yes, he's always struggled for power internationally.

My preferences for Scotland now woud be:

Seems like I missed a bit of a cracker... can't believe people will be paying £115 to watch mismatches and walkovers like New Zealand vs Georgia when you can see a game like this for 10% of that!
