Samoa should have had a penalty in front of the posts a phase or two before.

This is agonising, do you think he left his cards in the changing rooms or something?

Re: Scotland v Samoa, 10 October
I think the IRB need to bring in a new law where something like every 10th penalty by a team is a yellow card!
Samoa are worse than South Africa today. And that's saying something

There are few finer sights than Josh Strauss clearing out a Nel run in the blue shirt of Scotland

Re: Scotland v Samoa, 10 October
how isn't that deliberate knock on? The Samoan player was there it intercept it and he just slappe it forward (second hit not the first).

Surely it is only deliberate knock on if the opposition has the ball? What advantage do you gain by knocking on your own ball?

Re: Scotland v Samoa, 10 October
He had lost the ball. It was heading towards a Samoan player and he slapped it.

Stopping the Samoan running up the line to score a try

It was a deliberate knock on, and Hogg knocked it on to keep it out of reach from the Samoan player.

Well you stop the advancing Samoan player making an intercept and scoring a breakaway try.
Should have been a penalty and a yellow.

The 14 was about to run onto it so Hogg slapped it out of his path

In fairness, Scotland could of had another 2 yellows, one for the clear out on 7 (could of seen red too) and Hogg slapping the ball

The referee is probably feeling guilty about not giving a deserved red to the Scottish stamper in the first half.

They don't. I think the ref missed a dangerous clear out too and should of penalised the knock on by hogg
