Glasgow stepping off the lineout but not sending someone doing the back to sack it - Kellock needs to do some coaching!

Good game so far. Glasgow conceding too many penalties. Favaro really will become a fan favourite. Looks likely for a try this week too.

Another intent vs outcome debate there - he went in for a tackle with no malice but his arm came into contact with the guy's head!

Another card given on outcome not what actually happened. That was a penalty at best!

Favaro and Fusaro - will take a bit of time to get used to both names.
I'd quite like them to both play, give Hastings and Beattie a test.

From what I have seen so far, we will be seeing plenty more of Favaro, he is completely fearless and has no regard for personal safety. He may bring just a little bit more than Fusaro

The lack of attention to kicking excellence can be a joke in Irish players. 'It'll do, I don't like practicing. I'll get enough of them, I don't mind missing a few'

Glasgow well deserving of their lead. I just hope that dodgy yellow card is not going to cost us!

Glasgow will be happy with that lead - they've generally been the better team, albeit Leinster coming into the half later on.
If Glasgow can stay ahead while down to 14 I think they'll go on to win.
Need to get Big T on the ball!

I don't have an issue with the yellow. Swinging arm. Ruled reckless not deliberate so yellow not red. Harsh but not out of order

As the ball was not in his hand, it is hard to say how it could have been a definite try!

Don't think you could give a penalty try there. Yellow yes. Penalty yes. Penalty try no

He made a decision very quickly - from the replays I can't see how you could conclude a definite try would have been scored

I'm afraid you're 3 and half years and 21 caps too late for that.
If it's any consolation at his age he could still make 50 caps easy.

Re: Leinster v Glasgow Warriors, 23 October
I once got pinged in a similar way as Tacky.
I was full back and chasing a ball back against a winger - just like McFadden and Tacky - the ball bounced awkwardly and hit against my striding foot... ball goes dead and it was a penalty try even though no yellow. I was furious because it cost us the game. Everyone including my team thought it was deliberate by me, thankfully, our subs who happened to be behind that goal line saw what happened.
Weir shouldn't had those kicks... Tense ending in Dublin!

Shame for Glasgow - they did enough to win that but 2 yellows and too many penalties killed them.

Yellow cards killed us, the first one certainly was a bit iffy but no real issues about Big Ts. That was a game we could have won though, very tight and a few poor decisions cost us.
Well done Leinster anyway, a hard won win, defended the home patch very admirably

Certainly no complaints against the 2nd yellow but I can't see how that was a penalty try.
Leinster could have scored from the penalty of course.

The good thing for Leinster is that they look like they want to play heads-up again. A good omen for the next few seasons after the MOC period. A lot to work on but still a relief that the beginnings of a rebirth of sorts is possible.

Looking at the reply, there was no way that was a penalty try, even the yellow may not have been given. All speculation though and no great complaints, these things usually even out over the season!

Re: Leinster v Glasgow Warriors, 23 October
Glasgow have really suffered from playing during the WC - so many players missing. Why was the Pro 12 played during the WC when the AP wasn't ( or not so many games)
Glasgow will end up with 6 games without the best half of their squad - with more to come in the 6N. Really really though on them and probably ruined their defence of the title.
Never mind - Edinburgh will just have to win it instead

Its been tough, but we are not alone, others, Leinster included, have been hit pretty hard as well. It could have been worse for us. Normally you would have said a bonus point win against Munster and Leinster was a decent result, the only result that has really gone against us was Scarlets at home!
Ospreys are the side that really seem to have been killed by the WC. Glasgow are still in it, even if they have some ground to make up now!

Glasgow should have won that, played some very good rugby and great defense. It probably shouldn't have been a pen try but other that that the ref did have a good game.

Glasgow lost 21 players. Had to draft infolk from all over - I think they lost the most players of any team altho I agree its been hard on a few folk leinster included.

Re: Leinster v Glasgow Warriors, 23 October
Glasgow did lose more players to the tournament than any other club side in the world and so Toonie had to spread the signing budget over a larger number of (with respect) more limited players just to make sure that we had cover. Our main guys cannot come back soon enough because we have already reached half of the number of losses we chalked up in the whole of last season.
You cannot expect to win away from home with 2 yellow cards - Toonie will be urined off at that as much as losing a lead with 10 to go.
And this with one of Glasgow's favourite sons (a certain Canadian winger) tearing it up for the Scarlets yet again this week. Sad face.

How did the young Leinster players get on? Specifically Ringrose, van der Flier and Kelleher if he came on.

Ringrose was excellent,I only saw highlights but he made some lovely breaks and some really good tackles. One passage of play near the end of the first half stood out where he made a good tackle on the right hand side of the pitch and then about 30 seconds later made another big tackle forcing a knock on but this time on the left hand side. The lad has a real appetite for the physical stuff.
Van der Flier looked good in the highlights too,he has great footwork and seems well able to make yards in the tight exchanges, reports of the game praised both of them highly.
Kelleher was only on for a 2 or 3 minutes so didn't get a chance to make any impact.

Yeah the few times I have seen Ringrose he has absolutely clobbered someone. He seems really aggressive in defence, despite not being the biggest guy around. Can you see him occupying the 13 shirt for Leinster this season? Even for a few games perhaps.
Do you have a link to highlights by any chance?
