Selby turns pro

British Olympian and standout amateur Andrew Selby turns pro tomorrow; stumbled across it on boxrec, had no idea. I'm very surprised by the lack of fanfare or interest by top level promoters. You'd think the guy who defeated Kal Yafai to reach the Olympics and nearly took home a medal would generate a little more interest.

Can he adapt his game to the pros, especially at 26? Campbell turned pro at 26 after coming through the GB system and he has adapted well, whereas another guy to turn over late, Tom Stalker, has never looked suited to the pro game.

There's a lot of outstanding boxers at and around flyweight so he's got all the way to go to make a name for himself in the pro ranks.
