V2 WWC 1st Round Group K
As the V2 WWC continues we have a very international group as it contains only one US wrestler!
Please vote for the wrestler you believe has generated the best work in the past 12-18 months
Remember each person is allowed 2 votes per group in the first round
Please leave a comment as to who you have voted for and why to help facilitate discussion
The group will be closed at 23.00 tonight and no votes will be counted past that point
The top 2 will progress in to round 2
Happy WWC-ing

Re: V2 WWC 1st Round Group K
Tough group.
Jericho used to be one of my favourite wrestlers, but I've just seen enough of him now.
Ivelisse, well she has such a great presence, but that injury rules her out for my vote.
Erick Rowan I like, but didn't he leave wrestling to study piano and wine for 6 months?
I'm going to give Neville my first vote. I wish he wasn't in WWE. They have so few ideas for him that he was facing Barrett again in this title tournament. Basically, he's just there to do the Red Arrow. But he had some great stuff in NXT. I may as well vote for him now, he'll probably be on Superstars next year.
Elgin I've not seen enough of in ROH. He had a strong run in G1, but I feel I need to appreciate more of his work before I can vote for him.
So, my last vote is between Speedball Bailey and Mil. I've been watching a lot of PWG recently and it says something that with all the stars on their roster, Bailey is one of the ones I enjoy most. Has he had enough matches though? At the start of LU, Mil was an average worker with a good finisher. By the end of the series he really had his character down so well, and we have the Grave Consequences match. Tough call, and it might be the timing of this vote, but I'm a Speedball junky right now.

I'm not that much of a Neville fan, but he has done well and in a weak group (IMO anyway) he gets my first vote.
Second vote ended up with Jericho, not necessarily because he deserves it, but because I'm not sure any of the others deserve it either. Jericho has come back in dribs and drabs, worked a few WWE shows here and there, nothing major. But his wrestling podcasts have been superb, so even though it's clutching at straws a little, within wrestling in the past 12-18 months Chris Jericho has been entertaining.

Maybe the best fight both have been involved in recently was the Jericho / Neville fight at Beast in the East.

How can I possibly be the only Mike Bailey fan?

Went for Neville & Bailey
Neville's resume speaks for itself, his match with Zayn was awesome
Bailey is a guy I've only become aware of this year but he's amazing, the guy just delivers every time he's in the ring, I've been brushing up my MOTY list and he may have somewhere between 5-8 matches on there, matches with Hero, Strong and End Spring to mind, the dudes amazing
The G1 run and the #BigMike movement is helping Elgin get his groove back but he really went off the rails following his ROH title loss and leaving PWG, so that's why I'm not voting for him

There is something refreshingly.... I don't quite know the word, almost naive. But, its like he just gets in there and just goes for it. I hope the lad doesn't end up hurting himself because I've seen that botch in Don't Sweat 3 times now and each time my heart is in my mouth. But I fekking love him.

I always think Michael Elgin looks like he's a love child between Karl Pilkington and one of the shop owners on League of Gentlemen.

Voting is closed for today
They'll be dancing in the streets of Newcastle tonight as Neville progresses to the next round with 17 votes, in second place we have the second tie of the tournament so far as #BigMike Elgin and if any proof was needed I run this competition unbiasedly my 3rd least favourite wrestler in the world Chris Jericho both progress with 6 votes
