Aus Open qualifiers
Ward and Evans both won their opening matches. Evans beat Luca Vanni who was number 1 seed.
Brydan Klein lost in the 1st round.
Play stopped for heat as well at one point.
Edit: There is a live stream through the app. I watched some of Evans v Vanni last night.

Evans through to the FQR - plays Fratangelo, who I think is a former junior slam champ from memory (at the French) but not yet done much in the seniors.

I think Evans beat Fratangelo last year in a challenger, so he has a decent chance of making the main draw.
I do always get Fratangelo confused with the other young American, Taylor Fritz, who is doing very well for himself at challenger level.

Well done to Evans for qualifying. Tough draw against F Lopez though, not a great match up for him.

I think he'll see just reaching the first slam of the season as a massive bonus considering that he had dipped down to being ranked 700+ a few months ago.

I think Feliciano can throw in the odd shocker, I give Evans a chance but only a small one.
He's a talented lad, if he can take tennis a bit more seriously then I think can be top 100 easily.
