Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
If you combined Adam Bogdan and Simon Mignolet, you'd have one Championship level keeper instead of two.

Giroud wins miss of the season.
Adam Bogdan isn't even league 2 quality. Matt Ingram is better

Nothing in the game until O'Neil made the most ridiculous challenge I've seen - absolute idiot. I'm fuming that someone could do something so stupid

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Can't believe Mignolet is getting a new contract, he HAS to go. He's probably 11th-12th best keeper in the league at most.
Attacking wise Liverpool have been good, defensively it's been a shambles.

Playing lots of good crosses at the moment. Good job we've got Benteke in the middle to head them in.

De Gea
Courtois
Lloris
Begovic
Hart
Butland
Cech
Are the ones I'm certain are better. The rest are all just a muddle, I'm not sure which of the other first team goalkeepers he's better than, but can't say for certain he is worse than the likes of Fabianski, Mannone etc.

Yeah, soon as I saw you'd posted realised one I'd forgotten. I'd like to make a bid for Adrian in the summer. He's a good keeper.

Keepers better than Mignolet:
De Gea, Cech, Courtois, Lloris, Adrian, Butland, Begovic, Hart, Pantilimon, Forster, Schmeichel. At least those. Gomes, Valdes, Lindegaard and Fabianski may also feel offended

Schmeichel yes, Forster maybe. Pantilimon is behind Mannone and soon Pickford at Sunderland so I doubt it. Gomes is very similar, makes poor mistakes but great shot stopper, not sure I'd take him over Mignolet. How good Valdes and Lindegaard are these days is anybody's guess.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Rob Eliott has been class for Newcastle to add to that list, even Krul is better than Mignolet.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
I think Krul and Eliott are both in that middle group where they're of such similar standard it's hard to separate them.
Mignolet does keep a lot of clean sheets. So either you lot are going to have compliment Liverpool's defence, or admit he's not that bad, just average.

Is he? Tried to find anything about him injured and couldn't. Allardyce has come out and said he might sell him to replace him with Pickford anyhow.
Ozil was very quiet all game to be honest, Campbell and Giroud were Arsenal's best players. Without Giroud, I don't think Arsenal would have got back into the game.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
One of those games where on the whole a draw was fair, but I'm gutted to lose. So poor in defence again to let arsenal in twice when we were the better team. Clear that this team can't keep up the pressing game for 90 minutes so it's vital that when you are on top and score that you DONT GIVE AWAY POOR GOALS!! Especially against the big teams where you know they will have there periods of the game when they control it and it will be hard to keep them out..
Some game for the neutrals.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Not sure about Lindeegard, he's our third choice goalkeeper. Would have Fozzy and Myhill instead of Mignolet, but that'll be an unpopular view...
Anyway, great point at Chelsea today. Played really well too. Fletcher was brilliant, best individual performance from an Albion player I've seen in a long time.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
My bad, it was Stekelenburg, tired eyes saw the yellow on the fantasy football site.
Allardyce is wrong, anyway, Pantilimon was the reason they survived last year. 17 games this season, Sam has changed on him though. Still, he and Krul are both better keepers than Mignolet.

I would throw ward inton nets for Liverpool. Was playing well at Aberdeen and surely can't be as dodgy as the other to clowns we have?!?
New keeper required ASAP though. A good one is worth 15 points a season and a bad one will cost you about the same!!

You need to get an eye check if you think Pantilimon is any good - he's just tall. Positioning woeful, too slow to get down to low shots, doesn't dominate like such a big man should. Not often I'm with crimey but am in this case

Said this a while back & I fully stick by this comment, Stoke are the one to watch now. I might of been wrong about it being Leicester though, it might be Tottenham instead, who look lethargic & have hit a brick wall.
