Re: The World League II
Same reason every other manager leaves Spurs. You know as a Spurs manager that Daniel Levy will sell your best players for ridiculous amounts then pocket most of it into their new stadium.

Why did he leave Southampton for Spurs at the time?
Spurs will most certainly finish above Utd, 1 season of that though does not suddenly make Spurs a bigger club.

Manchester United are a joke nowadays. LVG is a bigger joke.

Re: The World League II
The only good thing to come from tonight's game for United was the excellent MOTM performance by Donald Love. I'm telling you now guys, this time next year he'll be England first choice right back and a staple of United's starting lineup.

Re: The World League II
Spurs definitely looked like a better option than Southampton to win things.
You would not say that about United. Exact opposite in fact. Spurs look like they are going places, United look a mess.

I wouldn't risk my reputation if I were a young manager at United.
Something is badly out of whack at present. Both Moyes and LVG have been abject failures.

Ditto. 2 years ago, if I was a player or a manager, I'd have definitely jumped at the chance of going to United from Spurs.
Now I wouldn't consider it. I'd stick with spurs

Yeah I splashed out too much for Aguero which left me short on cash for the rest of the squad.
Bambino you may take the urine out of my midfield but my impenetrable defensive wall of justice will shut you out!

Re: The World League II
Pochettino is building something at Spurs why would he join United and restart.
Our only option is Mourinho, we can't afford to slip any further behind City. No champions league in 2 out of 3 years is terrible.

Re: The World League II
Spurs do look a better option to win things, Utd though are Utd, and their appeal is still different to pretty much any club in England, that's not me saying it as a Utd fan as I don't wear the rose tinted glasses that Viva does but Utd are still despite their current doldrums a global entity, the fact that next season they'll go back to being the most profitable in the world despite their poor club form speaks volumes.
It's a mute point though about Poc as Maureen is pretty much signed and sealed.

He may be building something at Spurs but in the next few years it's going to come to a grinding holt whilst they build a stadium.
I look forward to Maureen ruining United after his usual 3 year spell. He's no different from LVG football wise.

IMHO Aguero is the best closely followed by Lewandowski and then Benzema.

For me and I hate to say it because the guy makes my blood boil but it's Suarez closely followed by Lewondowski and then Aguero.

If Messi and Ronaldo don't count as out and out strikers, then it's a call between Aguero, Lewandowski, Suarez, Rondon and Crespo. I'll go with Crespo.Holymiky wrote:Morning all,

Re: The World League II
I would have Aguero, Suarez and Lewandowski in the top 3 for sure.
When it comes down to order I'm not sure, i would be tempted to put Lewandowski top but I know that Aguero and Suarez have done it in the premier league which you can argue has better quality overall in it than the German league although the German league is still quality but yeah not sure.

3 lawyers a week, take the Euro value.
1m received each week, 1.5m extra for doing results or tactics.
Id do squads locked at the end of Friday, Tactics due end of Monday.

Re: The World League II
I consider a soft lock so you can write your tactics without your opponent doing last minute deals.
Can still do deals but can't play new players that week.

I think this is what we should go with, make it clear from the start so that we know people can't use players for matches they sign on the same day however they can still sign players.

Are we doing that badly for defenders that Bellerin, Smalling and Chiellini are in there? And Robben doesn't belong there either. Mahrez ahead of Robben, bring in Ginter, Koscielny and Cresswell.

Interesting to see there's a nearly list on the 23 under 23 group that includes a few guys in the league:

If we go by the "current form" rule though, Smalling should really be in there shouldn't he?

Re: The World League II
Totally impartial, I would go....
Buffon
Bellerin---Silva---Laporte---Lahm
Robben---Pogba---Verratti---Nolito
Aguero---Lewandowski

Really struggled for the second full back and left winger though TBH.

If we go by the "current form" rule though, Smalling should really be in there shouldn't he?
Smalling has fallen off since he got injured, before that was brilliant though

Laporte is a tremendous defender and for me Robben is one of those players that is so much better than the rest, even injuries don't bring him down to the rest. Especially not 1 season wonders!

Verratti and Pogba were no brainers.
I'll be honest on Nolito, whilst I like him he shouldn't really be in a best xi. Just the choice was not great.

Re: The World League II
I don't rate Smalling as high as others do, the defensive system under LVG makes Smalling look better then he actually is.
The few times we've played a more attacking style Smalling has been exposed for the fraud he is, I don't know why people call him Smalldini such a disgrace. He is no better than Cahill or Jagielka. Lack of top level defenders has made people crazy and over rate the likes of Smalling.
Kos is supposed to be the best CB in the Prem, when I compare him to the likes of Terry, Ferdinand, Campbell he is no where near them. I even rate Carragher higher than him.
The art of defending has died and as a former defender it makes me sad.

Premier League teams in general are more attacking than they used to be
