Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 13
Sorry Sgt but another scrum pen goes the wrong way to give Chiefs 3 points just before half time - Chiefs prop clearly to ground first as noted by the commentary team. Maybe Tom Coventry should have done a Ryan ...

Well because that is were Him and Deano first met.
If Goode didn't come to tigers he wouldn't have had that connection with Deano and therefore Deano wouldn't have been able to talk him out of retirement.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 13
Chiefs helped a bit however by the ref ignoring a massive push in the back which ended up causing a LI player to get in the way of a clearing kick and then further on in the resulting play a block just before the Chiefs' try - similar to the one that got Ojo's try scrubbed off against Wuss.

Tigers, but it could be anyone because Saints or Chiefs winning is only good for them and Worcester.
Don't worry, I'll be cheering for your lot like crazy next week

Well done Falcons. Outplayed us for large parts of that game.
So disappointing though. But more accuracy and intelligence in game management and we'd have turned that around.

Fortress Kingston Park!
We're only three points behind Bath, in fact we've got a better record than them! (Both on four wins, but we've also had a draw).
So I make us seven points clear of the drop, is it enough yet? Considering out next game is a home one against Worcester and Irish's is away at Leicester, I reckon we can almost seal Premiership survival on Friday. Not counting my chickens but we would be eleven points clear with 5 games to go, one of which is Irish at KP.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 13
Another frustrating game for LI. Still can't help wondering how a we can have a try ruled out for a supposed block one week and then have the same thing done against us another week without it even being looked at. That and the penalty just before HT when the Chiefs prop flopped on his belly but they got the pen did for us.
Yes I know I'm whinging about the ref again but at least I'm consistent unlike the refffing ...

Oops, you're absolutely right. The Wuss game is the following week. I'm getting ahead of myself.
Still a LBP doesn't look beyond the realms of possibility at Kingsholm.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 13
I suppose to a point you have to make your own luck with the officials.
Since we've started playing well, the officiating has seemed to swayed and we're getting 50/50's that we didn't earlier in the season.

I know what you mean - when your team is busting a gut to do well and then you see another team does not get pinged for something your team have been penalised for - well what can I politely say? We've all been there but it does seem worse for the smaller teams when they're fighting for scraps anyway.

Re: Aviva Premiership - Round 13
Oh I know mate, and we're only 5 points off Worcester and still have to go there, so it's not all over, but that was a tough defeat to take today. There have been games his season where we have been well beaten, but today wasn't one of them. I don't think anyone watching that would have said one team was second and going for the title and the other was bottom of the league.
