On a point of order (ie pedantry ) It's not possible to take 8 points from three games. A team can take 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 9 points.
Massive brawl in which the FA then deducts points from each side ala Utd and Arsenal from a number of years ago?
I was thinking about what I posted earlier ' Htf can we get 8 pts? Hope no one notices'

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
It would be nice if Liverpool could take the fire and intensity and "don't f**k with me" attitude they showed on Wednesday and ram it down Palace's throat at the weekend. Was pleased that Klopp finally seems to have realized that Moreno may not be the best option from the start and the solidity of Clyne and Flanagan is a much better option. However, the old "they seem to have turned a corner" adage may very well prove to be yet another turn down a blind alley/dead end.
Still, doesn't stop me being delighted at Wednesday's result and watching Flanno, at one stage, struggling to get up and support the attacking play in the 2nd half cos he already had three City players in his back pocket.

Still, two wins and a draw would see Swans to the very brink of safety - especially if one of the wins was against Norwich.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Yep, build on the Arsenal result and then get a minimum of 7 *SEVEN* pts over the next 3 games, should do us as the run in is horrendous. Leicester, Liverpool City, WHU and last ever PL game at Upton Park. Olly should enjoy himself at the Liberty, bar the result hopefully. Pretty friendly pre match outside the pubs by the Stadium. Swans fans can moan about how the fat tyre fitter Grant Holt tortured us for years..

Cos of the cup the Swansea game now won't be, it'll be our rearranged game with Man United

Breadvan I look forward to it, although it currently feels like Swansea is on another planet (coach left at 6:30am and still not even in Wales yet)
I have a gut feeling we're gonna win today - we just have to

Quite a fitting end I suppose, we still haven't forgotten 1995.

Definitely. The slow motion replays didn't do justice to the speed of Ospina's reactions.

Bellerin's the star in that. Ramsey gets the luck of it going right, but Bellerin's vision and calmness is incredible in that situation

Reasonable to say its time for Wenger to go if Arsenal bottle this title to be honest.
The PL continues to get more and more mediocre by the year.

Sorry Duty, if they lose this, finishing 5th is more realistic than the title.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
Good point for Arsenal.
Now, with Leicester's inevitable slip-up this evening, the Gunners won't be any more than 7 points off the lead, with only one tough fixture outstanding.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
That was the most Arsenal like 10 minutes you could possibly imagine, it was as if it was scripted; midfielder gets sent off needlessly, goal from a corner and then concede again straight after. Spurs equally threw it away not taking full advantage of the extra man.
If we beat West Brom tomorrow then we're only two points behind Arsenal, their form will inevitably pick up once top four is under threat but they have bottled it yet again.

A truly abysmal first half at St. James', not even a shot on target. Riviere starting is just embarrassing. McClaren has to go now.

Re: We Go Again! The Premier League thread
A magnificent comeback by the Hammers. I was totally resigned to us losing today (and especially when we went 2-0 down against 10 men.) Ironically, our nemesis, Lukaku helped us greatly by failing to put away his penalty. Now Hammers up to the dizzying heights of 5th place!
