Congratulations England
Congratulations to England, the best team won today. And to be perfectly honest, the Welsh comeback felt very tainted by the fact Francus was still on the pitch.
As unpopular as I know this will be, and painful for me to say, I wish you the best next week and hope you win the grand slam as Lord knows you deserve it.

Re: Congratulations England
Yes they clearly do deserve the slam. And Wales didn't deserve to only lose by four today either. Congrats England. Can't see them losing next week either. No pressure next week either, seeing as they're as good as champions already. I expect them to be pretty comfortable in Paris anyway.

Re: Congratulations England
I think it's a good situation for them. They will, assuming Wales win, know that it either Feanslam or nothing, going into the France game, which I think will be the extra kick up the rear to ensure they perfrom n Paris.

We will probably blow it in Paris and lose on points difference. How important that come back by Wales might yet be.

Re: Congratulations England
If you listend to sir clive he said that when England made their changes, it change the game.
Eddie Jones admited they made the changes too see how other players played. and that was a mistake.
I just hoe England learn from this. (do not make changes for changes sake ). It could of cost us the game.

If Wales win, it makes no odds now. It's whether France do by a big score. They won't win anyway, but won't turn the points around regardless.

I think that even though that has happened in the previous years under Lancaster, that it's unlikely to happen under Jones. He's been around enough to know the importance of keeping his men grounded, and that the 6 nations is not won until the final whistle next weekend.

Well done England. I'm still walking the mean streets of Newport so will try a better synopsis tomorrow, but Christ you smashed us royally. We were smashed. Late comeback. But generally over run.

Thank you sirs. Truly gentlemanly and rugby related behaviour. Another 5 minutes and we would have been in trouble for our profiglacy. Good luck next week sirs. Please take my sincerest best wishes

Thanks for the congrats, Welsh fans It goes to show that Wales don't know when they're beaten and England really need to start putting points down when they're on top.
Appreciate the graciousness displayed on here tonight.
That last 10 minutes wasn't good for the health!

From a neutrals perspective it was an easy game to watch, and I definitely didnt see the last 7 0r 8 minutes coming.
Well played England in the most part, and well played Wales in some parts.

You always need to watch out when Welsh players get injured. They just seem to get better when they're up against it.

Haha. True. Maybe that was the problem.
Good news on Sam. Should be rested next week regardless of whether he's passed fit. Nothing game now. Going to finish second, no bother. Nothing else to worry about

Re: Congratulations England
Just wanted to add, again well done. For all of the crap on here there was always going to be a loser (rarely a draw), so congrats England. I didn't expect that from England to be honest. Thought it would be a to and fro game but England played a running rugby game that I quite envy and wish we could emulate. Our much vaunted defence was run ragged. It was embarrasing at times. Some might say we had an off day. I prefer to think we were found out. Or out thought. Same thing, defensively/strategically I suppose.
I predicted an england win pre game, as I posted elsewhere, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But this was a cracking display. I'm really dejected. I think England showed signs of great things to come. Kudos.

Griff I dont think many teams on the planet would have scored many points against that England team today , well for the first 72 minutes anyway.

Classy indeed from Welsh fans on here. Tight match in the end as I thought but exciting to watch. Have an awful feeling the French will have us next but who knows - slam still on, just.

The French wont be a problem, its the worst French team I've ever seen. If you thought our back play in the first 60 minutes was bad this match, you should have seen the French play against us!

Agree. England will be ridiculously comfortable next week, especially when they turn the French crowd pretty early. We managed to win v them comfortably, without offering much in the way of an attacking game. England will be more than comfortable next week.

Re: Congratulations England
Thanks for the congratulations. Although we only deserve the Grand Slam if we can beat France. I'm expecting us to lose and by enough to come second. That is the current English way
But I was really expecting LCD to fluff the last lineout and Wales to score a last minute try!

Bloody hell Wales. You're guys are like Rocky! The hits keep coming but you don't go down! You come back swinging and almost took it at the end. My poor heart. Nearly as damaged as my liver....

I expect that England will win the slam now and deservedly.
That said, they will have to be a hell of a lot more clinical against the French. Smashed Wales in the first half for the 16-0 lead but it really should have been much more.

Wales really went hard in the last 8 minutes. Our subs and only having 14 players didn't help. The Welsh comeback is straight out of the NZ playbook. Eddie knows now that Wales can take a lot of punches.

Well done England and hope you get the GS. I'm glad you'll get that monkey off your backs. Quite enjoyed Itoje what a terrier! Not too despondent for Wales after the late revival. North did well outside the 13 channel hope he continues that. Now the boys. Can go and express themselves in Rome. But for now England's day.

Re: Congratulations England
Well done to England. 1st half especially they were terrific! Complete demolition job. Could probably have been another try up even.
I was disappointed obviously with Welsh play, but I was really happy with comeback. We were destroyed but didnt throw in the towel and capitulate and went down swinging.
Was in London and had great day watching rugby, drinking and singing in pubs with English fans. Brilliant time and reason I love rugby.

England are a good team and a tournament win is overdue IMO. Coming second on many occasions shows that they're good but often lack something extra. Perhaps something extra is what Eddie is bringing to the team, as I fully expect England to win next week. Good luck.
