Excellent response from the WC disaster.
A nice achievement. A grand slam would be the first in 12 years.
We need to show build and show consistency by taking this to Australia in the summer.
Keep our feet totally on the ground.

I don't think it's arrogant to say I think we've looked clearly the better side in every game.
We've finished 2nd several times in recent years, by scraping close and sometimes unconvincing wins, but i've not been too worried this year and was pretty confident about yesterday's game (ok, I might've panicked a bit at the end!).
I don't think we've deserved a slam since 2003 but this year we really do. Exciting times ahead!

Paris is never an easy place for England. Get the feeling it will be close but high scoring. Could go either way.
Be nice if they can get a GS though.

Well done England. A new dawn for team that that has been underachieving a bit perhaps in the last few years. Very well played this tournament.

You can print those shirts now!
Well done to Jones and the boys.
Delighted to see the joy in little Laidlaw's face today. Those sheer moments of National joy are what rugby is all about. But of course the spoils belongs to ye Olde Engerland this year..... so enjoy it.
This means there won't be a second conrats next week! Let's not get excessive!

Well done to England and their fans, totally deserved champions. Really do hope England go on to win the Slam now and to be fair, France would seriously have to pull one out of the bag to stop them.

Great to get another 6N's, a slam would top it off.
Will mean little if we don't carry this on into the summer and do some damage in Australia. I said it before the competition but we need to be challenging the best in the world if we want to really progress.
Great start for EJ though, we've certainly seen some improvement.

There seems to be a theme with England playing a lot of very good rugby and then some very bad. We just have to make sure we make the most of the good times next week and make sure France don't get back into it when things swing their way

We must give credit to Eddie and his coaches. Their planning has been spot on. Reading Dean Ryan's article today he says England had a Wales specific attack plan that attacked their weakness.

Is this the first time that the winner of the 6ns as be known before the final week end of game are played.
I know we still have to play next week and try and win the Grand Slam....But even if we don't win the Grand Slam we still win the 6ns.

No i believe other teams have done it, like in 2011 for example when England had to travel to Dublin for the GS game.

Yeah, that's right. Wales could've won it with a big win over France that year, just after Ireland stuffed us.

Certainly not a vintage year, after watching some of the Super Rugby I can only really say we're the least awful NH team at the moment, but you can only beat what you've got in front of you. Here's to humiliating the French in Paris gearing up for a real measure of where we're at in the summer.

Super rugby is the way it is because it is refereed differently.

And it has better players in it, more importantly.
The over relying on the maul and scrum as well as kicking is killing NH rugby, nothing to do with refereeing.

How is it killing rugby in the NH, viewing figures grow and grow, and I like many other simple folk loves a good scrum.

Vince forgets that we invented the game so we're doing it right and the SH are doing it wrong. He should watch 7s if he doesn't appreciate the many nuances of rugby.

Don't get me wrong, i LOVE scrummaging. But when you are doing that and mauling over and over again, your team isn't playing with much intent, backs aren't touching the ball and your 10 is likely to do a garryowen whenever he can and get a resulting scrum, skills aren't improved at training and so on..
Ideally i would rather get rid of the maul or make it more difficult and more technical to set. I think that summer rugby would be one way to address that.

Congratulations England, well deserved and a Slam would be a fair reflection of the gulf between you and the other sides right now. Good luck next week.
And congratulations in order for Scotland as well, been out all day and didn't see the result until now- thoroughly looking forward to next weeks game!

I know I've asked a few of you lads to refrain from gloating, but I think it's time for a gloat now, especially after beating the mighty Wales .
Congratulations to England on winning the championship. Quite happy for the players as I know a few of them must have been bitterly disappointed back in the autumn... Onwards and upwards.

Re: 2016 6 Nations Champions ......ENGLAND
It is a shame that next week is the last week of the tournament, and not the first week. The way Scotland played today would of been nice to see them play that way against England.
England have to go on now and secure the Grand Slam. I feel that England cannot afford to think that the game is in the bag, France can pull off a great win when it is least expected.
So well played to England for winning the tournement and Well played to Scotland for producing one of the best games they have played.

I'm sure Eddie will get the lads motivated this week to see it through, but I wouldn't be surprised to see France make a fight of it for the full 80mins. will be close or we'll blow them away in the first 60mins only to give up and roll over like Saturday.

Well done England, definitely the strongest team in the championship this year, will be surprised it they don't close out the slam but who knows with the French.
Jones has done a great job. Very impressed by Vainaplo and Itoje in particular.
Incredible physical domination of an experienced and powerful Wales side for 50 min on Saturday and they seem to be getting better game on game.

Only a masochist would look forward to that game! I'm dreading it.... although it has the making of being the stormer game of the final weekend if both sides keep up the hungry-for-scores pace. Grand game prospect for neutrals. For me - it's a Doc Who behind-the-couch game

Don't worry about it, Luckless. Mikey showing his true colours. Pretending he doesn't enjoy the sword play but then misses it when the language gets too mushy

The was nothing Mighty about Wales on Saturday.
No need for gloating. Enjoy winning the title, try to beat France for a most welcome and long awaited GS, then focus on the Oz tour and continuing to fix areas of the team.
